The parking outside alone is not worth the trip to Chow King. But when you do get a parking spot here is what you can expect from Chow King...
First of all the name alone evokes thoughts of Chinese Food but don't get it twisted, Chow King is a Filipino fast food joint. Although they do incorporate some Chinese foods to their menu. The food itself is mediocre and at times bad. The siopau is expensive and their halohalo and boba tea arn't that great. I do like the hot and spicy wonton ramen soup but you can easily run down to your grocery store and buy a 20 cent package of ramen and boil some water. Save yourself some money and pass right by this place. There are better places to eat Filipino food around the area.

The food SUCKS. The guys in the back always stare as if they have never seen a girl before.

Good variety of Filipino/Chinese meals.
I just wish that most of their meals are available throughout the day. They have some specials which are only available for a few hours in the afternoon. I was craving for some fresh lumpia but it wasn't available for dinner when I was there.
You can grab some frozen siopao (steamed buns) when you are there which you can heat at home.
Try to avoid weekend mornings. The wait for your order is about half an hour.

Great place to go, ANY time of day.
Most recently, I went here for breakfast - I guess it's a new addition to their menu. Their basic breakfasts give you your choice of tocino or 2 pieces of longanisa, with an egg, and rice, and all for $2.99 it was quite the filling breakfast. The sad part is I wanted the "King's Breakfast" (or something of that sort) but they were all sold out?? At 10:30 on a Saturday morning... others must have jumped for it, because the deal looked sweet.
Also, I was a little confused about their concept of vinegar - which is black. And mine was chunkier than everyone else's.
Overall, good place to grab some cheap but tasty Filipino breakfast if you're ever in the neighborhood.
