4 reviews for Chocolate Soup
Do you remember in the 80's when moms wore shoulder pads and dressed their children in matching dresses and rompers with large yellow ducks across the front? That era stuck at Chocolate Soup. Known for their multicolored hair bows for girls and kennedyesque prep wear for boys, Chocolate Soup embodies the conservative and classic styles that make "Ladueites" so timeless - it has been around forever.
The store is small but packed from floor to ceiling with cute high-end coordinating ensembles for children ages newborn to 13 years. The clothing is anything but trendy and perfectly child like. They also carry a great line of classic toys.
The full priced items are a little steep but if you join their mailing list they will send information on their sales which are amazing. If you get there before it is picked over you may even be able to score one of those plaid linen blend jumper dresses for less than thirty bucks.
Love this place!
Shoped for my 27 yr old daughter and now my new Grandson. Love it!
This place is almost iconic when it comes to adorable kids clothes in St. Louis. I remember being in First Grade and being incredibly jealous of a girl in my class because all of her dresses came from Chocolate Soup. (If you knew how I dressed now this would be hilarious to you since they aren't really the tank top, jeans, and converse type store if you get my drift).
However, now that I have a niece of my very own to dress up, this store is just perfection. They have some of the cutest little girl (and boy) clothes I have ever seen. It's the kind of clothes that you put your kid and have people asking where you could have ever gotten such an adorable outfit. It's not a cheap store, but the clothes are made well and will last as long as your child is able to fit into it. My mom still has some of the Chocolate Soup dresses I had as a little kid (like I said, I was jealous and I've always been a persistent person).
Chocolate Soup, not that kind of chocolate that is tasty and is a sugary goodness, but the baby store, is a great place to buy all things when it comes to baby clothes. Myself, not having a baby, but more of becoming a recent uncle found this store to have some of the best little baby outfits that make for great gifts.
Each time that I have gone there I have always found something that I know would look awesome of my nephew. They have your local sport shirts, like say a St. Louis Cardinals shirt so you can start to teach them how to root for the proper teams at a young age and they also have cute little outfits as well, like a cowboy one.
