1 review for Chitactac-Adams County Park
This place isn't as huge as other parks. You can probably go through it in an hour and a half or two hours even if you took your time and read everything.
This place doesn't provide strenuous hiking or biking, but is more for historical preservation of Native American landmarks, such as the petroglyphs and milling holes. They have a little cultural building where you can read such facts.
The area is filled with crooked like trees, a creek, and a lot of indigenous vegetation; although the scenery never took my breath away. If you're looking to get away from civilization, don't expect to. I was pretty deep into the park when I heard the beeping of a car alarm in the distance. This really took away from the experience. You can also hear passing traffic from the nearby road.
If you're looking for more to do, visit Coyote Hills Park or Lake Chabot. Otherwise this a good place for history.
