    Dear Chipotle,
I love you. I love your burrito bowls with hot rice, black beans, spicy barbicoa, hot sauce, sour cream, cheese, corn, lettuce, & guacamole (for an extra charge). You are the light in my life. Without you I wouldn't be complete.

Like seriously though, Chipotle puts loads of crack in their food, which gives you crazy, mind boggling cravings. I don't think I could handle it if I couldn't get my weekly Chipotle fix. Bad things would happen.

In our lifetimes, there have been many raging food debates; Goobers or Raisinets? Pizza Hut or Dominos? Cool Ranch or Nacho Cheese Doritos? (the correct answers are Goobers/Pizza Hut and Cool Ranch, by the way) And now we can add, "Chipotle or Pancheros" to that mighty list. Well, being well versed in both, and having been to both recently, I'm ready to make MY ruling: Pancheros by a nose.

While at the Moorestown mall yesterday, my GF was going on about how STARVING she was, and suggested a burrito. She wanted to head down the street a little to go to Pancheros, but on our way out, we walked right past Chipotle and I suggest we try there, since she had never been. She was game, and we were off. Let me preface this by saying that BOTH are EXTREMELY good, and you will NOT be disappointed in either burrito. But when both dishes are so evenly matched, it comes down to the details and that is where Chipotle falls behind.

First thing I noticed (because the misses wanted queso dip) was the lack of said dip at Chipotle. You can only get chips and salsa or chips and guac. No queso was a bit disappointing.

Secondly, Pancheros gets an extra point for making your tortilla right in front of you. Chipotles tortilla was just as fresh (tasting) but it was just cool to see the dough ball get flattened and turned into your tortilla right in front of you.

Finally, a little detail that actually makes a BIG difference is at Pancheros, after everything is added to your burrito, they mix it all up before wrapping. At Chipotle, they just scoop it on and wrap, which leads to your ingredients being in sections. There were many bites of my Chipotle burrito that were nothing but rice and other bites that had NO rice.

Both places are made to order with fresh, tasty ingredients but if you are ever in the fantastic position of being able to choose between the two, I say hit Pancheros.

I love you Chipotle, but I usually get sick after eating you.Not a fan of onions and apparently they aren't a fan of mine either.EVERYTHING has onions in it here. Sometimes I crave a burrito bowl so bad that I'm willing to put up with being sick. Pancheros and Baja Fresh are good and I don't get sick, but I'd still rather have Chipotle.

I stumbled into Chipotle around 8 pm on Thursday night, straight out of a boot camp class. I can't imagine what I must have looked like. Hungry - no, starving, I told the guy behind the counter that I had never been to a Chipotle and asked if he could just run through the options. I decided to go with a burrito, since it would be traveling with me back to Philly and it seemed like the least messy choice. At that moment, he yelled "free burrito!" and nods were shared between the workers.

I don't know if it was because they were frightened of my sweaty self and wanted me out as fast as possible, or if it was because I was an eager Chipotle newbie, but I was so surprised and extremely grateful nonetheless. Back at my apartment, my burrito tasted like food of the gods, with two sides of salsas and some Mexican crema. I will undoubtedly return, hopefully not resembling the female Hulk next time.

YUUUM!  It's like Panchero's (my fav Mexican franchise) cousin - so very similar but their meats come from all naturally fed animals.  Their guac is very delicious - only disappointment was that there was no queso.  My hot date said their stock is doing really well - I can see why.  Will def go back when in the area.

So, I love love love love love chipotle. I was driving north for Easter, and decided I absolutely had to have some. So I pulled over, looked up the nearest chipotle, and off I went. This chipotle is located in a mall - but not in the food court. It's on the opposite side of the mall from the food court. A bit difficult to locate. I waited in line for a bit, and then they were out of steak. So I waited a bit more. Then I enquired as to how long it would be, because if it would be a while, I had no problem with chicken. They said no, it was almost done. So I waited a bit more. Meanwhile the line of people behind me had learned what not to order, and had all checked out, so the cashier took a break.

Long story short - My burrito was delicious, the service was slow, but I got my meal for free so I'd give them a second shot. They knew they had messed up and made up for it.

This is a favorite spot for the office on Fridays.  This location gets busy because it is attached to a mall.  It is not located in the traditional food court (probably a good business move seeing how the food court doesn't offer the best quality or selection).

When I say this place get busy at lunch - BELIEVE IT!  Try to get there before 11:30 or after 1:30 or you will wait in a never ending line.

My fiance and I stopped here yesterday afternoon and I can honestly say that we were both hooked by the first bites of our meals.

We walked in to find a sizable line of hungry patrons, though the wait was just long enough to decide on what our maiden meal here would be.

I'd heard great things about Chipotle before, though I was immediately put off by the assembly-line style of creating a meal, as those tend to make me feel a little rushed. So, when I ordered my barbacoa soft taco with hot sauce, sour cream, cheese and lettuce, I was pleasantly surprised that the numerous folks stationed behind the serving line were more interested in making sure I got all the toppings I wanted than rushing to get to the next customer.

If the service -- which was complete with a cheery "Have a nice day!" -- didn't win me over, the three tacos definitely found the shortcut to my heart. Spicy! Juicy! Cheesy! Filling without the lousy Oh-God-Why-Did-I-Think-Fast-Food-Was-a-Good-Idea feeling I get post-Taco Bell! I polished off my trio of tacos feeling like I'd made a damn fine life decision, wishing only for larger portions to satisfy my lust for a fresh and spicy lunch.

My fiance, who tends to demand more from his food than I do, was equally as pleased with his (enormous and girthy) barbacoa burrito, which he ordered with some mighty delicious guacamole.

It's also worth noting that, for a dining establishment connected to a shopping mall, all the typical Saturday afternoon cacophony was pleasantly muted, even though we could observe a throng of shoppers going about their afternoons. The bonus of being just sequestered enough from the boisterous consumerism of the mall was a nice treat.

Ok, I don't think y'all understand how excited I was to discover they were opening a Chipotle THIS close to me.  For the longest, I'd only go there when I was in MD because there weren't any around, so then I find out that one was opening one RIGHT next door to the nail salon I go to was great!  They have the classic Chipotle fare - my personal favorite is the barbacoa burrito bowl with guacamole - yum!

This was my first experience with Chipotle (actually my second opening day the line was so insane we did not stay) anyway the food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and reasonably priced. I will be a regular.

I have been here several times recently, and I think it' justifies the hype. The burritos and just right -- the freshness of the ingredients pops through. And it's a good value for the price.

I rate this 2 stars based on two things. Their staff still seems to have high turnover and not really pay attention to detail and the quality of their meat can sure be sketchy - to the point where I end up hardly feeling comfortable eating any of it at all.  Not tons of space inside either so be prepared.

this is the best tasting place out of all the burrito joints. my husband is a huge burrito fan and we've been to qdoba, baja fresh, el fuego and panchero. it's not overly salty and the burritos are huge. it has the same M.O. as the other places but for some reason it just tastes the freshest.
