Obviously an easy one: Delicious, fast, easy, and not that expensive.
A go to place when you can't think of anything else to eat.
Live really close to this one and I frequent it at least three times a month.
The people who work there are super friendly and you can't be a tasty burrito bowl.
Yummmmm....
This location is great because I meet up with my sweetie on her breaks from work and it reminds me of when we first started seeing each other.
The food is good, obviously, because it is Chipotle. Usually our order is up quickly. They could give you a larger portion of guac though.
I'm so over this Chipotle. And here's why:
My order is simple: Burrito. Black beans, rice, barbacoa, a little bit of red salsa and lettuce. To go. Extra napkins.
The fact that this Chipotle is literally around the corner from my apartment is why I keep giving it a chance and the reason I go there way too much. What? I work hard, I deserve a burrito whenever I please. And I please to have a burrito ... quite often.
So Tuesday night, they are like, out of barbacoa. So my tortilla is sitting on the counter with rice and beans in it while they slop up some shredded beef for my dinner. The lady like, folds the tortilla to keep the innards warm while waiting for the beef. She unfolds the tortilla when it comes up and there's black bean mess on my tortilla. I didn't like this.
Right then and there I made the decision that Wednesday's burrito was going to be different. Extra rice and if the same shit went down, I was going to pipe up. Well, my burrito lady moved SO FAST down the line that I couldn't ask for extra rice. The beans were slopped on top of it before I got the chance. And extra rice is one of the FEW pleasures in life.
But the kicker is when I asked for a "little bit of red" salsa. TALK ABOUT A LADLE FULL. I had a problem, but again, I didn't pipe up (I save my aggression for Yelp).
So I get home, and I eat this thing. The last 7 bites were so SPICY that my nose was running and I was in physical pain. I HURT. I had to suck an ice cube to make it go away. DAMN YOU CHIPOTLE.
So, if you have a choice, I'd go to the one on the corner of Broadway and Belmont. Most excellent.
What can I say? I LOVE burritos.
Chipotle has great burritos; even better for a chain restaurant; even EVEN better for a chain restaurant owned by the McDonalds Corporation.
I like the veggie burrito best, but I'm up for chicken as well. I like their ingredients; all of the fixins are fresh and their salsa is made in the store... and it's delish! Their chips are also great. They're seasoned with some lime and salt - they are absolutely delicious.
I'll definitely try a burrito bowl sometime, but every time I go I always get the same thing. Great lunch spot for those who work in the area and always great for dinner before the bar (gets you ready for a night of drinkin).
I don't go here every week, but once in awhile, I'll stop in. On the way there, I'll be kicking myself because I know that even though I get the vegetarian burrito and it's only $5-something, my wallet is just screaming, "WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME? JUST DEPOSIT THE FUCKING $10 YOU HAVE LEFT AND STARVE. YOU'VE ALREADY HAD TO GIVE UP ALCOHOL, JUST GIVE UP THE FUCKING BURRITO."
But all of that melts away as every time, there will be a wonderful, short woman with twinkling eyes and a big smile who makes me feel okay that I'm spending money I shouldn't. She knows I want both the black beans AND the fucking grilled vegetables because they taste GOOD together. And then I get everything on it and I pay for it, and even though I'll be hungry in like 5 hours, I know that it was a good decision to buy it because it means that I have the strength to continue living for another paycheck and another burrito.
Easy, fast and convenient food at a reasonable price.
Want guacamole for your chips? Ask for it on the side.
The hot sauces are tasty and food is fresh.
I like this chipotle because it has parking. I don't know, what else do you say about chipotle?
Hint: if you want guacamole on your tacos and dont want to pay for it, order 2 (steak, chicken or whatever u want) and 1 veggie. Then you get the guac.
very well that is all.
What is y'alls problem, Chipotle is fantastic. I only get the veggie burrito bol, and for some reason I never get sick of it! Either there is something added into the food that makes you addicted to it, or it's just damn good. Either way, I love Chipotle.
It's kind of overpriced for what it is, basically just rice and beans and a few toppings, but since I don't have the motivation to cook it at home, unless all the ingredients can be easily prepared in the microwave, I don't mind paying to get it there.
This gets 5 stars because it is the best Chipotle ever. For real. They are always fresh, never stale, always hot and always generous with the fillings. I'll also say that, while I never get the bol, my girlfriend does and it is like the best dip for chips ever. I generally just get the chicken burrito, black beans, green salsa, extra sour cream, cheese and guac. Bam, that is a meal. Couple that with Pibb Xtra and I'm good.
People try too hard to write "funny reviews". This isn't one of them.
The only thing missing from Chipotle is HORCHATA and for it to be open past 2am Then it would be perfect.
Shame on you for even considering Chipotle in a town with such amazing and frequent taquerias. There's nary a Chipotle in Chicago that isn't very close by some amazing, cheap and quick taquerias, with much more filling burritos and far more savory tacos that aren't all flour dough and no content. Honestly, gente, what were you thinking?
And this is coming from someone broke all my life. Kill this market for that McDonalds-manufactured burritofication, choose your local taquerias!
Four stars? You gotta be kidding me. Have any of you people never had a burrito before?
People who rated Chipotle 5 stars must have also given 5 stars to Mc Donalds, The China Buffet, Chicago Impound Lot, and Currency Exchanges.
It's okay food, for a McDonald's owned chain.
We just stopped in to use the bathroom (key attached to a giant metal kitchen spoon, how funny) while walking over to Oz Park. After that I tried to get the kids to eat something there since I like the tacos. The lady at the counter was VERY COOL to offer to make some mini quesadillas for the kids, which I don't think is on the menu.
Note to other restaurants in LP area, when people ask to use your restroom and you say no, people remember it and vote with their feet. This is based on quite a bit of first and second-hand anecdotal evidence. I've eaten at this Chipotle many times and I will be back again due to the coolness of the staff (extra star for that) and okay tacos.
How can you not give this establishment 5 stars. My employees eat here three times a week. I am not that extreme, but I do love the place.
We have won free burritoes 3 times and you can't go wrong with the burrito bowl.
The chips are great too...good stuff!
I eat a lot of burritos. I've probably eaten at at least ten different burrito restaurants. So imagine me walking into a Chipotle for the first time. Total corporate image (I mean I think Mcdonald's owns them.) To say I was dubious would be an understatement. I think I was actually angry for the first burrito. I mean, don't get me wrong, it was delicious. But I was in denial. Next thing I know I go back. Then again. And again. Now I'm hooked. The ingredients are so FRESH. And the chips are amazing too. Stupid Mcdonald's.
This particular Chipotle can be especially commended for its cleanliness and extremely helpful staff. Go to this Chipotle if you have to choose. And burrito lovers, don't be disdainful. Give it a try. I swear Ronald won't attack you when you open the door.
Ok so I went here on my way home today and as always it was very good! I had the Burrito Bowl--no tortilla. Its nice a lite, a little rice, black beans, salsa, chicken, lettuce, cheese and of course I had to have a SMALL dollop of sour cream. Thats the only thing you have to watch, or they will take this HUGE spoon and throw on like 5 tablespoons of sour cream. I mean dont get me wrong, I could mix it up and probably eat it, but it just makes it a fatty meal. I LOVE that they started offering fresh limes to add on the food and in a coke. Very good eats! Parking rough.
I love Chipotle. I love that Chipotle supports running races in Chicago and that I get free burrito coupons with a lot of my races. I love chicken burritos with no beans and guacamole and lots of cheese. Chipotle is the only fast food I really crave, and I probably eat it at least twice a month... Yummy...
I really like Chipotle...love their chips! I will choose Americanized Mexican (as I like to call it) over real Mexican any day. I had chicken tacos with lettuce, sour cream and cheese. I'm not adventerous when it comes to toppings, I keep it simple. I really like their chicken it's got a great seaoning to it. I love that they use nice crisp romane lettuce not iceburg. Price isn't bad at all because you're getting quite a bit, but if you're not expecting it you'll be a tad suprised because it's really just fast food. But when you get tacos there are 3 and it will definitely fill you up, add an order of chips and you'll be stuffed!
I love me some Chipotle. The ingredients are so fresh and I just love that I can pick and choose exactly what goes into my dish.
lime rice. barbacoa. dsl = don't stand in line (internet ordering). real guac. i really love chipotle, and you know what, i don't care that their parent company is mcdonald's because i think they at least are trying to do the right thing, in regard to the free range and the no hormones and whatnot (probably because it makes them money) and what the hell anyway, it tastes good - do it. :)
if you want a real taqueria feeling, there are many places for that in this great city of Chicago. but, honestly, for a chain, this is pretty freaking good.
for a chain it ain't half bad. You know what your usually getting most of the time. I was really tired after an almost five hour plane ride and tried my luck at this location. Food seemed pretty fresh but OMG! The girls behind the counter really need to be educated on the fine art of quality customer service. When you see someone smile and say please and thank you it makes an OK meal better. But they can't perform those simple tasks.
For a cheap sort of Mexican meal I come here. easy, cheap, parking and not bad tasting. Being a native from SF this chain doesn't compare to the food that I've tasted back at home. Still looking for a great Mexican spot here in the Chi.
There must be crack in there somewhere! Chipotle is my fast food addiction, and it's nice to know it's not as greasy or unhealthy as most chain fast food places. I love their veggie burrito bowl, with rice, black beans, and sauteed vegetables. Their salsas are fantastic, the guac is never enough, and the whole combination is inexplicably delicious. Thank god for Chipotle!
I absolutely LOVE Chipotle! Chicken Bol with extra cilantro rice. I am seriously addicted to this stuff. Even though the chips and guac are loaded with calories, I keep telling myself that at least the guac contains "good fat". Finally, this location is great because of the easy parking.
One of my favorite places to grab a good burrito in Chicago. I've been eating here since college and I never get sick of it.
Chiplote makes food w/ precision and expert attention - dont forget they are owned by McDonalds, so every time it's the same and pretty good. I'd never choose to go to a fast food spot like this over one of the thousands of true Mexican spots in the area, but it was free for our work today. Fairly healthy if you dont need to avoid the carbs. But as far as Burritos I've had in the city, Chipolte is just average.
Great lunch spot!!! The service is good and the food is delicious. The chicken there is great. I'm never disappointed when eat there for lunch!
love it love it love it. i can't get sick of it. even my little year-old baby loves it. if you can't find what you want to eat here, your tastebuds done broke.
note to pregnant ladies: are you almost due? want to kick start your labor? try a little hot sauce! worked for me!
Yum! I love when my hubby has to work up that way, he always brings me a chicken burrito bowl with guac and cheese!! It's soo good!!!!
I love this place!! It's such a great option for lunch and rather healthy!! Depends what you order though?!! I always get the burrito bowl with little chicken, extra rice, the corn and tomato Salsas and lettuce.....so good!!!
With this facility being across the street from the new PAWS Chicago shelter, I'll be a regular visitor. I've already visited twice to have the vegetarian burrito, and have been impressed by the good, quick service and fresh ingredients. The guacamole is outstanding. Chipolte has given free burrito coupons to PAWS Run for Their Lives participants in the past, so I really hope they do so again this year.
This is like "Subway does burritos" except the variety pretty much stops short. There's really nothing more you can do beyond trying either a soft, hard shell or giant burrito wrap (or a bowl-- let's not forget that innovative idea) other than exclude/include 1) lettuce 2) tomato (ooh and it's available in 3!!! different salsa forms) 3) cheese 4) guac 5) sour cream 6) pinto/black beans 7) one of four dried "quality" meats. See, if I can list the menu single-handedly, it's probably not something I want to pay $5 for. The taste is average, at most, and it's a shame that Chipotle surrounds itself with pre-existent small chain taco businesses that know how to prepare Mexican food right (and charge less for it) I basically had everything on the menu tried and sampled by the first week the one in my old neighborhood opened, and was thankful it only took that long. Also, if you have allergies to peppers (like myself) GOOD LUCK finding something that you can eat that does not contain peppers; even the rice & guac contain some kind of spicy goodness. I basically found (after discovering the hard way that the meat, black beans were peppered) that I can eat their delicious lettuce/tomato/cheese tacos carefree. Taco Bell, I believe, offers that lame combo but at a $.79 charge. More variety, Chipotle. Then maybe you can call yourself an semi-"authentic" Mexican food chain.
This is one of the six Chicagoland Chipotle's I have frequented in the last six months. It's a pretty good Chipotle, good food, nice and clean, and it's rarely crowded.
LOVE IT! Great service! Awsome envoirnment good prices!
It is our all time favorite place. We particularly like this location. The service is quick and good. I usually ask salsa on the side, and they get it right every time without any fuss.
I find myself going here when I need good tasting, fresh food FAST. Nice, clean atmosphere and the employees have a happy energy going on. The only negatives are 1. They use WAY TOO MUCH salt - salt is killing the civilized world - do a google search and read the facts. 2. It is borderline overpriced.
Good burritos, good atmosphere...
