BIG fan of this Chipotle location (and this plaza in general apparently).
I work in the city & frequent Chipotle for lunches, but hate the over-pricing. I paid $1.75 less ordering the same thing at this Clifton location (I always get the chicken burrito bowl with guac & sour cream on the side). LOVED that the guy behind the counter really hooked me up with the guacamole too, packing it in real good :). I usually have to ask my city Chipotle peeps to add to the brim.
Definitely add in the tasty corn, salsa & pay extra for the guacamole --- it's SO good. -

You get a good amount of tasty food for the price. Sometimes they skip on the veggies or meat but give you a huge spoonful of hot sauce then the burrito bowl is ruined. Order online to avoid the line but check if your orders right. Parking is horrible but it's worth it in the end.

Go here hungry, 'cuz you'll get large portions and lots of food, particularly with a Burrito order.
If you're looking to go light, a salad is fine, but it's still a hefty helping, so try the tacos, which might weigh the least in grams compared to the rest of the menu.
The strip mall this store resides in gets packed, so don't be surprised by a long line during peak meal hours. I encountered friendly staff who were quick & efficient, only I wish they had wiped the seating area down a bit more. If you can find a clean spot, dining might be a nice option, otherwise get it to go. -

I am a huge fan of Chipotle! It's fast food Mexican, with natural and organic ingredients, in stark contrast to another fast food Mexican place I know (i.e. Taco Bell).
If you've never been there you should definitely go. They have a variety of options when it comes to the type of food you want (tacos, burritos, bowl) or the type of meat (chicken, pork, beef, or veggie) and you can choose the toppings you want or don't want. Like most places, guac is extra (sigh).
The food here tastes natural and is delicious. I can't really compare this Chipotle to others but I've never really had a major problem with the service or food here. The only thing I don't like about this place is the line ups!!! Whenever I go there is always a huge line from the counter all the way back to the entrance (like 30ft or so... I dunno I'm bad with estimating!). -

BEWARE
If this review was based on the nutritional values it would get 0 stars. According to men's health Chipotle chicken burrito is on their 20 worst foods in America. They provide this nutritional info:
Chipotle chicken burrito
1,179 calories
7 g fat
125 g carbs
2,656 mg sodium
One can lower these values by opting for the bowl without rice. Or cutting the portion in two.
Below is my 4 star review prior to finding out the nutritional values for my favorite meal at Chipotle. The company claims they use organic ingredients leading one to believe that their food is a healthy alternative to other fast food.
So if you are not watching your waistline enjoy cause it tastes good. Otherwise stay far away from this place.
I must admit that even though this is a chain, I am a fan. Love the chicken burritos with everything, and supposedly the ingredients are organic. Compared to other fast food Mexican joints the food is fresh tasty and generously portioned. Service is pretty fast and the place looks clean. -

Chipotle seems to be nearly identical to Qdoba, although the former apparently attempts to use some local food and "naturally-farmed" meat. Admittedly, that does make them more appealing. I used to go to Qdoba all the time, but got turned off when they nickel and dimed me for every little add on... if I ordered something that normally had chicken and asked for vegetables instead, they would charge me extra. Chipotle seems to be a bit more lax about that. I got the vegetarian tacos and they were really tasty. Quality fast food. Glad to hear that McDonalds has not owned a piece of them since 2006.
If you have never been to the plaza where this place is located, be warned that it is a pain in the ass. It receives about twice the traffic the builders seem to have anticipated.Listed in: Eating out on a budget...

I love Chipotle. When I worked in the city I had Chipotle at least twice a week, there were many within walking distance of my office.
Now I'm stranded in New Jersey, unemployed, and I have to make long pilgrimages whenever I want a burrito. Of the three I regularly go to (Clifton, Paramus, Willowbrook), this one is definitely the worst. I don't know what it is, but every time I come here, the food is disappointing. Maybe the ingredients just aren't as fresh. They often fold my burrito in a way that the tortilla rips and all the ingredients come flying out.
Also, this one is usually the most crowded (so you'd think the food turnover would be faster) because it's in a strip mall with a dollar store and a Starbucks, etc.
Although I have some complaints, mediocre Chipotle is better than most other casual burrito places at the top of their game. -
Review from Lovet O.
Yesterday, I visited Chipotle with fellow Yelper Lee, and I was a bit excited. I heard so many good things about this place that I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into their famed, fresh burritos. I walked into Chipotle and the restaurant was "ok". I'm big on restaurants having a warm, bright and welcoming decor and probably this Chipotle location was like that. Maybe they were being cost effective. I dont know.
Anyways, their menu was very basic. They had few burrito selections, chips, drinks and some "extras" such as guacamole, salsa, etc. I ordered the chicken burrito and I liked that they "dress" your burrito they way you wanted it but I didnt like that the guacamole cost an extra $1.95. What?! That's a bit pricey for a dollop of guacamole. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't mind spending a lil extra "moolah" on what I want. But nearly $2 for a dollop of guac, umm... "no thanks". Therefore, I got my burrito sans guacamole.
I sat down at a table with what appears to be a "newborn baby wrapped in a blanket" on my tray. The burrito was huge. I cut into my burrito and was ready to dig in. The ingredients were fresh and colorful. The corn was sweet, the chicken was tasty and the food was satisfying. However, while I was eating my burrito I kept thinking "I wish I had some guacamole." LOL, I know I'm a mess.
My friend, Lee, ordered a beef burrito and he also enjoyed it. He also bought a bag of "CHIPS" and we both agreed it was false advertisement. It was basically a bag of "A CHIP" (lol no, not literally). But I guess its for portion-control. Idk. They were tasty nonetheless.
Overall, the food was fresh, filling and flavorful. The price was "ok". The "extras" such as chips and guacamole were, IMO, pricey. The decor was "cold", which was surprising for a restaurant that sold fresh and flavorful food. I would like the decor to be "vibrant + colorful".
Now the question is, "Would I visit a Chipotle again?" **sweat drips from forehead and eyes rolling** Ummm...maybe if I was near one and there wasn't a Taco Bell in the area. :-) -
Review from Brian C.
I had always heard good things about this place and a couple of weeks ago they were shooting burritos from here into the stands at the Nets game and people were jumping ontop of each other trying to get their hands on the burritos. I figured it might be worth a look.
The menu is pretty basic. Either burritos or burritos. I got a fajita burrito with steak. The steak ration was pretty meager but the finished product had the heft of a small baby. It was pretty filling, but the mild tomato salsa was a little too spicy for me. The chips arent the greatest value, but the guacamole is pretty good. I took it to go, so i cannot speak to the seating. It was pretty busy when I went. I am a bigger fan of Quodoba, but in a pinch i might try this again. -

This is fast food pretty much as its best. The slogan, "Have it your way," never saw something like this before. You order from a brief selection of possibilities on the menu and then proceed to tell the people behind the counter how to build out whatever you ordered. (I guess it is almost a Mexican buffet without people sneezing in the food) I have only tried the burrito thus far and someone has made the comment that burrito = really hungry of which I would totally agree.
As mentioned in someone's update McDonalds does not own any part of Chipotle anymore: http://en.wikipedia.or...
And, yes, the parking lot is absolute chaos... -

It's fast food mexican. Nothing to review about the food. The staff on the other had are retards. My girlfriend left her cell phone accidentally after we ate. As we were driving home her cellphone calls me but no one speaks. We pull over and search for her cell in her purse. We realize that she must have left it at Chipotle. We drive back we ask the girl behind the counter and said no one left a lost cell phone. We asked the people who were eating at the table we ate and they said they didn't find a cell phone. We drive back home again but this time we kept calling the lost cell. Half way home the manager says he found the phone. So, we make another trip back. We had to hurry before they closed at 10pm. My gf drops me off and I talk to a guy behind the counter. I ask him for the cell phone. He goes to the office to check. He tells me to call the phone. I call it and it ringing yet he wigs out and stares at the ceiling. The cell rang 5 times then he realizes that it was me calling it. Bunch of morons working here.
I'm glad you can see them prepare the food as you order it.
The food is good and cheap. Just don't leave your cell phone here behind. If it was an droid or iphone consider it gone. -

You're welcome Mike!
I first was at the Chipolte in Secaucus when they opened and gave away free burritos. It was really good.
When they opened a branch in Clifton it made it much easier to get to them.
I love the fact that you can see what they put onto/into your food.
I've been to Qdoba and I prefer Chipolte because I didn't like Qdoba's corn burritos.
I've been to Moe's and they are both really close. Moe's has guacamole included and Chipolte charges $1.95 (it went up here). Both finished burritos taste really good.
From what I've read about Chipolte is that its a business doing things the freshest way. I am unaware how Moe's does business.
Moe's is opening a place in Clifton and there will be war. -

Steak burrito with guacamole, enough said.
Oh, dont go at lunch time, you wont find parking and the line will literally be out the door, which further demonstrates how good Chipotle is. Regardless of the long lines it moves really quickly and youll be enjoying your burrito in no time. -

Rule: No fast food and no chain restaurants.
Chipotle is the exception to the rule.
I'm a vegetarian, so I stick with the bean burrito, but there are a ton of fleshy choices as well. Everything is right in front of you and you choose exactly what goes in your burrito, taco, salad, etc. Besides the meat, you can choose from veggies, salsas (mild, medium, and hot- and the hot is actually hot!!), rice, beans (pinto or black - only black are vegetarian), sour cream and fresh guacamole. That's right -I said, FRESH guacamole - they make it in-house a few times a day. I couldn't believe how freaking delicious the guacamole was, as I was expecting some thawed-out version from some generic distributor. My burrito was enormous, came with rice, beans, and chips and was under $6. I still can't believe that this place is fast food, as everything was so clean and fresh. Also, I love the fact that I could see and choose everything that was going into my meal (and the people that were handling it). Chipotle can't be compared to Taco Bell or Baja Fresh - it's in a class of its own. You gotta try it! -

smite me if you must, but Chipotle over Qdoba!!!
don't get me wrong, they're both pretty darn good but Chipotle usually tickles my fancy!
chicken pinto bean burrito with the works minus the corn ftw! and yes please add the guacamole for the measly $1.75 extra...it makes it that much more special! -

Barbacoa burrito bowl. Yummmm!!!! I have at least once a week. Craving? Chipotle all the way! But this location, I'm not crazy about. I usually go to Secaucus. I went here once, I always asked for a little bit more of the barbacoa meat, guess how much the lady gave me? A pinch. Literally a little piece of meat. A little bit more lettuce please? She used her thumb and her index finger to reach over the lettuce and dropped the "extra" on my bowl. They serve with blank faces and monotonous voices. Like robots. If I wasn't hungry, I probably would lose my appetite. Food is good, service is bad.

Burritos, tacos, chips: this chain does them. In the same vain as Qdoba. Fresh tortillas, you get to pick your meat (beef, pork, chicken), rice, sauce, etc. Burritos are big as Hell. It is all very simple, but very tasty. Excellent takeout style food. Burritos = really hungry while tacos = normal hungry. Biggest complaint? WORST PARKING EVER in that complex alongside RT 3.

This has become a welcomed addition to my takeout rotation. The food is always good. The service is quick. The price is great. What else is there to ask for? This is truly a treasure for someone born and raised on the west-coast. These burritos are the closest to authentic Mexican food that I have experienced here on the east-coast.

I love Chipotle's. The meat can be a bit tough, but what more than a super affordable spicy meat burrito can you possibly want when you're starving? I always feel that the server gives more meat to the people on either side of me. Am esp. a fan of the Chipotle Tabasco sauce.

A friend of mine was telling me about Chipotle's long before there was one in Clifton, so when this one actually opened we both went there. I've been hooked ever since (Thanks Mark!!!). I always had either chicken or pork burritos there and they were awesome! I introduced a few friends to this place as well and all of them LOVE it!

Best Chiptole in the area! I have come here so many times I cannot even tell if its 10, 20, or 50 times. The service and friendliness at this location, coupled with the value is so great that I was even compelled to write to Corporate and give this location a good review (when other times people just write to complain). Further, they make your meal EXACTLY as you want it without complaining or charging you extra for petty items such as salsa. One time when I wanted extra rice and the worker already scooped the last of what was left in the container, he told me to wait a few minutes and gave me more fresh rice on top without any issues. In terms of value, quality, etc., Chiptole is the best in the area (after Burritoville closed down in NYC). I recommend this chain to everyone I know and for good reason.

I was originally going to say if you were a vegetarian you may not want to visit this place. But on the flip side you can get burritos with just beans and cheese and I have to be honest the nachos leaving you craving more. I will leave you with one important piece of information. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT SHARE THE NACHOS CHIPS WITH ANYONE. IF THEY SUGGEST IT WHILE ON LINE - JUST SAY NO. I MADE THIS MISTAKE AND PRACTICALLY WANTED TO RIP THE BAG OUT OF A GOOD FRIENDS HAND. Get your own pal - get your own.

Chipotle isn't your typical fast food place. It's fast and pretty cheap, but you get delicious, fresh, healthy food. And the staff is wonderful, they're very friendly and eager to help you, unlike every other fast food place. I'm a bit of a Chipotle addict, sometimes I look forward to those weeks I'm too busy to cook, because then it's Chipotle almost every night! I always get the crispy chicken tacos.
