The best duck I have ever had, anywhere, period.
You think Minden Nevada and great Chinese food is not something that would ever come to your mind and in this case, you would be wrong. I have eaten at a number of Chinese food restaurants and not all of them offer duck. If you haven't had duck before you are missing out. It's so tasty and has quite a unique taste. If cooked right, it can be unbelievable.
In the case of Chinese Village, they definitely make a duck that is well worth the time and effort to make a visit to this place. Now it's been at least 4 years since I have eaten here as I no longer live in the area, but I would hope things have not changed.
I happened upon this place by sheer luck. One day while going down to Carson City to do some shopping, my dad, my brother and I were in the mood for Chinese and happened to find this place on the way home back up to the south shore in Tahoe. We stopped in, order some food, one of those items happened to be duck and instantly feel in love.
Their barbecued tea smoked duck is phenomenal. It's so juicy and flavorful. You need not order anything else from here. Maybe save for some white rice and some of their uber-yummy crab puffs.
