This review is for a to go order experience.
Major props to this restaurant for opening extremely late.
FOOD:
-Honey Walnut Shrimp: yummy, creamy, and flavorful. Sweet and savory lightly coated between all the shrimps.
-Mongolian Beef: one of the best I've had in so long. Soft, tender, and juicy beef. Packed with all the flavor on there. Def recommend getting this dish
-Salted Fish Fried Rice: a must when ordering from here.
For $50 total between the 3 dishes, so worth it to get esp they close really late when you are craving for some flavorful Chinese food. Lots of parking around the restaurant.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - Rain C.Los Angeles, CA07428Apr 15, 2024

Found this restaurant for late dinner, Unfortunately we experienced a bad environmental on this restaurant. Food was decent, thanks to the boss lady who keeps yelling cursing in Chinese language to this elderly man server & make the ambience in the restaurant very uneasy & uncomfortable in front of all the customers. When we come they have view table after all the chaos all the people leave as soon as possible & there was 1 table did not even order & left. Please learn how to respect other before you do your business. Thanks to the boss lady we will never come back. If I can put minus one star I will do so that how bad is the environment & experience we had on our dinner last night.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 257128Jan 14, 2024
Ordered by phone for hot and sour soup and honey walnut shrimp, a female worker said it'd be $28.50. Got to the restaurant around 8pm to pick it up - encountered a old male worker who seemed agitated and yelled at me what was my order again because I guess he is hard of hearing. He said the total is $29 instead. The hot and sour soup was indeed hot but not sour whatsoever. I added lemon juice for it to taste better. The honey walnut shrimp was good but small for $14.50.

Typical Asian restaurant. Mediocre bathroom 2.5/5, good food 4/5, service to just food on your plate. Opened until late at night is a bonus. The people work hard to keep it open. The value 5/5 is amazing.

This is a staple Chinese restaurant when cravings occur. The prices are unbeatable for the amount/portion and quality. Overall, the taste and flavor are great too. At times, it may be missing a note or two in flavor, but it is a minor matter in comparison to everything great that is offered to customers at this establishment. Another pro is it is opened late, M-S 10am-3am. I'm glad they survived the pandemic and did not increased their prices drastically. Still the same great Chinese food joint that's cost-friendly. Cash only, no cards.

Upon arrival, we had quite an embarrassing situation with the waiter! The place was filled up around 10pm and the waiter told us the only table was the one right next to the doorway where cold air will burst in/out when patrons come/go. Since there were no other options, we sat there and attempted to move the table further away from the doorway. NO! The waiter YELLED at us and told us not to do that b/c the table is broken and it can't be moved. Why the hell would they put a table in front of the doorway and be broken??? It's a disaster waiting to happen! So, he told us to sit there and wait for the table in the corner to open up and we can sit there. Once the patrons left, we sat over there. NO! The waiter came over and YELLED at us and said how the hell was he going to clean the table up if we are sitting there! WTF! Rudest waiter I've ever encountered... I mean, who yells at their customers??? RUDEST WAITER IN THE WORLD WOULD! We felt all eyes on us from what was happening. Good grief!
Since there were no other restaurants opened at 10pm, we stayed b/c we were craving wonton noodles. NO! They sold out! WTF! How does a restaurant sell out on the best comfort food for late night diners???? We ended up ordering a different noodle soup that was OK but not great.
:( Fish w/mustard greens noodle soup - the mustard greens made the soup taste too vinegarie. The fish was good though. We had to remove a good portion of mustard greens b/c it was too much. 1 STARS
:( Pork and preserved veggie noodle soup - we swapped out noodles for ho fun noodles. Ho fun was not fresh, it broke apart completely. Too many preserved veggie, carrots and sprouts. We had to remove the excess. 2 STARS
Our entire experience was a failure. We didn't feel welcomed there and the food was subpar.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - May 2, 2023
underrated. Large portion size for ~10-15$ price. Get the soup dine in. Togo portion sizes smaller because of size of containers.
Family or home cooking style Hong Kong/cantonese menu.
Specialize in wrapped lotus leaf.
Been there a long time at least 15y. They are trying to keep costs down by having tje owner bus and clean the tables. They live frugally. Not the same inflation you see in the supermarkets. All dishes around 10-13$. Chicken pooridge at 7$. That is rare. Hot food prepared close to what ypu get at home. Very reasonable price and portion sizes.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 3, 2023
Parking is in the back. And it can get crowded sometimes.
This hole-in-the-wall is open late and is cash only.
And gratuity is (sometimes) automatically included.
Food was heavy on the oil, little bit pricey, and kinda stingy on certain ingredients -- like beef and salted fish. And portion sizes were on the small side.
Green Onion pancakes was on point.
Mongolian Beef was okay, nothing spectacular.
Same with the Chinese Spinach.
Salt and Pepper Fish was thin coated and fried -- and wasn't that crispy.
I don't recommended anything with salted fish since they skimped out in the Salted Fish and Chicken with Eggplant Claypot.
Service was what you'd expect from an Asian restaurant. The only times we saw the server was when she took our order and dropped off the food.
This wouldn't be my first choice because of portion sizes it's good enough for Chinese Food.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
