1 review for China Express
Sadly, there just aren't a lot of great Chinese joints in the Nashville Metropolitan area. China Express out in Goodlettsville happens to be one of the tastier little cheap spots, though its location is anything but convenient.
Back when I worked a 9-5 office job out in Goodlettsville, this little restaurant was my little safe haven nearly every day. I'd stop in at least two days a week, get one of the extremely inexpensive lunch specials and read a book in the corner. The walls are an unbelievable shade of green and the whole restaurant is pretty small, but the staff is very friendly and the food isn't bad.
China Express offers lunch combos like pineapple chicken, beef lo mein and sweet and sour chicken for just over four dollars, and side items like egg rolls and hot and sour soup are extremely cheap. It's almost impossible to spend more than $7 on a meal at China Express, and everything is always prepared quickly. I've never had a meal that required a long wait or wasn't up to par with traditional Chinese cuisine.
I'm giving China Express a good rating primarily due to its reliability and inexpensive menu. It isn't the best Chinese place I've ever been to, but there isn't too much impressive Chinese cuisine in the area anyhow. If you're out that way and crave some rice, noodles and chicken, China Express is worth a try.
