I grew up eating China Cottage as it's not only the best Chinese restaurant in Dayton, but it's also owned by a family friend! The decor is great for a date, family dinner or group gathering and all the landscaping was done by the owner himself!
If you're Chinese, make sure to order off the Chinese menu! There are plenty of options and the food comes out fresh and hot, so it's definitely a great option for take out!
I'd post some of my fav dishes, but I don't have a menu in front of me. I'll update next time I'm back!
Several disclaimers:
1) I'm Chinese. and I know my Chinese food.
2) This restaurant is located in Dayton, Ohio. Not exactly foodie-heaven.
3) Every time I come here, I order off menu. That is, off the Chinese only menu. Chinese food, by Chinese for Chinese written in Chinese.
Ok so this place is pretty solid. And if you're a random white person who hasn't left the state in awhile, it's probably pretty delicious to you. I'm giving it 3 stars.
