We transitioned from a corporate daycare to Childrens House Montessori when my daughter was old enough to enroll. We are never looking back. She loves going to school each day. We cannot say enough great things. We cannot wait for our son to be able to join as well.

We absolutely love this school! Our son has been here almost a year and he looks forward to going every day. They treat these children like family and it is such a fun and special learning environment.

This is the best school! I toured a number of schools before deciding on Children's House Montessori for my son and I couldn't be happier. They are so sweet to the children, very hands on, and I've personally witnessed them taking special care with children that need a little extra love and reassurance. My son comes home every day singing about how much he loves Ms. Grace and the things that he's experienced and learned in his day. Exactly the caring, home-like environment I wanted when I decided to put my son into his first school.

This is a wonderful school. We have been attending CHM for about 2 years now - primary classroom with Ms. Shannon. Kids receive individualized attention, and are happy in the school. Additionally, my son is learning a lot every day in a unique Montessori way through "works" system. I would recommend the school highly.

The current director of this school is extremely pretentious in regards to the quality of education the students receive. While it is the best preschool in Alamance County, there is not much competition. The school is good because the students that go there have really involved parents, both at home and in school. My biggest complaint is that it is school when they want to be and a daycare when they want it to be. They cancel, delay, or early release school all the time (they thinks they're ABSS even though they have less than 100 students who all have their parents drive them to school); yet, they make you pay in the summer to hold your spot. You also have to provide a snack 7-8 times a year for 35 kids. You also need to completed 20 volunteer hours or pay $100. There is also a $100 supply fee. It's expensive, and they raised their tuition again for the upcoming school year. My kids went there for 3 years straight, and in the end, they treated us poorly and did not let my son participate in the preschool graduation b/c his birthday is after the cut-off. However, we are moving to MI this summer, and he makes the cut-off there, so he will be starting kindergarten there. This was not good enough for Fräulein Director. My son did make friends and had some good teachers, but as a parent and consumer, it was disappointing.

Samantha,
In January 2019, Children's House started a new chapter with a change of administration. Along with the change of administration came changes to our school's policies; many of which address your complaints. While our primary focus is to function as a school, we do offer before and after school child care. Because we offer this service, we understand the importance of keeping our doors open so that parents can count on us for childcare. We have also removed many of the fees created by the previous administration, ensuring parents that after monthly tuition, there will be no surprise fees. Most importantly, we value the families that support our school. While we always encourage parent involvement at the school, we do not have any required volunteer time for parents. Thank you again for your feedback and for helping Children's House to improve our services.
