I haven't seen any retards in here and children aren't spotted there frequently either. What I do see in here is piss smelling winos that use this place as a closet and emo-kids in Def Leppard shirts with the sleeves cut off carrying Kelly's coffee mugs and $2000 laptops complaining about how all the good stuff gets ganked by poor people.
Oops...I guess I have seen some retards then....
This place has a huge selection of clothing and junk. Very very busy on the weekends and cash only.
They have a good selction of stuff and is in a safe part of town.
Lots of House stuff and Girl Clothing
No Credit Cards, has an ATM
Yes, the sign outside draws one up short. But whatever, the PC squad will wipe it out someday. This thrift, at peak hours, is a complete freakout .. squadrons of shrieking kids, shopping seniors, hipsters, you name it. With the tape loop blaring the week's tag discounts over the PA system and the packed (oh-so-packed) aisles and racks, it can overwhelm. But hang in there. I have found gold in the women's clothing racks at stellar prices. They also annex a rack for unusual or vintage items that is always worth checking out (some longtime employee has a really good eye for this). This is the place I bought a perfect suede swing coat for 3 bucks (but that was the mid-80s--d'oh!) Vintage housewares (or what they consider "vintage") are overmarked (a pandemic in Ventura), but probably still cheap, if y'all are from the Big City, not from our un-PC, oddly wonderful little burg.
The sign on the outside says, "Retarded Childrens Thrift Store." There are so many things that I could say, but I think the best is, "That's just not a good thing."
