The directions on the website on how to get here are pretty bad. We spent more time en route to the place than at the actual cha cha.

Oliver is a little Chihuahua/Terrier [we believe--pedigrees are questionable when your new friend comes from the SPCA] mutt. He's a pretty cute little dog. Hubbie & I were excited to bring him here cause we heard being a Chihuahua means you like to hang out with your own kind [as doggie racist as that sounds]

Reasons why this was not all it was cracked up to be:
1. The aforementioned poor directions to the location.
2. Oliver didn't care for the other dogs
3. The name is really annoying. I didn't see much Cha-Cha action.
4. Chihuahua owners tend to be inversely proportional to the size of their dog. I guess small dogs don't seem to need as much exercise?

In conclusion [I feel like I'm writing a formulaic essay in High School], I don't think Oliver will be back. I think we'll stick to Dolores Park instead, or perhaps walk around town.

my dog had fun, i had fun, my neighbor and her dog had fun, the other dogs had fun, the other people looked like they were having fun, there was tail wagging, butt sniffing (by the canines of course) and water slurping galore.  AND at a park with one of the most beautiful views in the city.

we're definitely going back, yogi and i.  oh, and my chihuahua even does a littl cha cha dance himself - how appropriate!

a great opportunity to meet other chi owners, socialize your pet, and enjoy what san francisco has to offer...

oh and Yogi wanted to add this - "woof!  woof woof woof...wuf...ahwoooooooo....WOOF!" (translation: i had f*@#%^ BLAST at the Chihuahua Cha Cha!")

the chihuhuas don't discriminate here.  they welcome fluffly zeus with open paws.

and shiver in greeting or hide behind their momma's ankles when zeus approaches - just like they would any other dog.

smallish dogs and friendly big dogs welcome.

Although I am blonde, tan and have a fawn chihuahua my similarities to Paris Hilton end there.  Okay...so maybe I do carry him in little bags but it's mostly just to sneak him into places, RARELY do the bags ever match what I'm wearing. Oh and PERHAPS he wears the occasional outfit that cost more than mine but that's only when it's cold.
Fuck.  At least I never made a porno video like that dumb bitch. HAH!
Ahem.  Back to the Chihuahua Cha Cha review.  On the first Sunday of each month, between the hours of 12 and 2:30pm, tens of chihuahuas can be found doing their little dog dance here.  It's a great way to give your little dog some much needed bonding time (did you know that chihuahuas actually have breed recognition?) without fear of being accidentally trampled into the ground by the well-meaning yet over-exuberant local labrador retriever.  Chihuahua crosses are welcome as well as other small dogs.  Best of all, the majority of the chihuahua owners have rescued their pooches.  Me, being one of them.  Yes, the Sancho man came from A.R.F.!  He's the light of my life and my little pride and joy so if you want to come hang out with us and watch my little attention whore make me proud; this is where we usually can be found every first Sunday.  Unless I'm hung-over...then I suffer from guilt for days and end up spending a fortune on something my dog doesn't care about or need.  But I SWEAR I'm not Paris Hilton.  I'M NOT!
