I should say I'm biased here, as my Dad leads the band and my Mom is in the show (as usual).
The show itself is out of control. But it does something the government has not been doing, which is raising extra funding for the public school system. That alone gets 5 stars. Everyone who participates, which is a LOT of locals in and around the San Carlos school district, donates their time which is amazing considering how much work goes in to the thing.
One star removed because the price point is too high this year (runs every two years). It's prohibitive, which is not good for something that is for such a good cause!
Anyway, support the public schools and hit this puppy. It's an experience for sure. May not want to bring the kids though... some mature subject matter here and there (though the kids may not pick up on it).
