This place used to be my secret go-to place for Keno- They used to be so loose that I would at least double my money on every trip without fail. I was so disappointed, when they remodeled it, because, in my previous experience, that means they will turn on the "shit-switch" to up their profits. My prediction was correct. The first week after reopening was still good but all trips after that sucked. Plus they took out all but three of the keno machines I play. No I have to compete with everyone for fewer machines. This gets pretty annoying when other players carry around their bankroll in $1's.
As other reviewers have previously stated, the "earthy" regulars are locals: senior citizens, younger tweakers and the Eminems. They are nice enough but I make sure I avoid direct eye contact.
Hopefully, I can find another secret dump with more old school machines.
It was nice while it lasted. -

Stopped here today on way home from Columbia. It had been sometime since we were here. We were pleasantly suprised to find that it had been completely refurbished and modernized. Still slots only and a huge bingo parlor, but new machines and nice small coffee shop that will even bring food to you at your slot machine. Only downside is that you can not take your money out of one machine and put it in another machine. You have to cash out all tickets. Not a big deal. We will go back.

So we were heading back to Stockton, after a trip to Black Oak Casino, in Tuolumne, when we came to the smallish sign for Chicken Ranch Casino and Bingo parlor, just outside Jamestown. Not ones to shy from a side trip, we veered off onto the little one land paved dead end road that lead to the Pre-fabricated steel building that serves as the casino and bingo parlor. The front entrance leads into the bingo parlor, with about a 50 yard walk around to the side entrance to the building and entrance to the casino. As I walked in the smoke was thick, and immediately the theme to Deliverance came to mind.
Rows of machines, pretty well spaced were occupied by what I'll call locals. Friday evening, around 9 pm, the parking lot was full, the bingo parlor was full, and the casino, which is mainly the multiple play machines were about 2/3 s full. An earthy group to be sure, but everyone was cool, and we actually made a few bucks. All in all, an interesting trip into the side roads of the Sierra. -

We were looking for Black Oak Casino at night and went to this dump by mistake. Horrible experience, fights in parking lot, minimal security, few games, no tables. Parking lot was full and we could not get out because others blocked access. Do not be "lured" by Casino turn sign, stay on road and head to Black Oak, which is clearly labeled. If not sure, don't turn! This is no place for anyone..... Seriously I have never seen so many toothless mangy dirty looking people in my entire life in such a confined area. TWEAKER CITY. I think at least one drug deal went down in the parking lot while we were trying to maneuver our way out. How this septic pond of a few slot machines and rows and rows of bingo tables qualifies as a casino I will never know. Security guards were either A. 400 lb. lardasses or B. 70 year old chain smokers that seem to give everyone through the door some manner of grief regarding ID or whats in your bag or whats in your pockets. On the plus side we did cash out 1.60$ ahead in our 10 minutes in casino HELL. The final disgust of the night was the opened SHIT filled diaper sitting on the hood of a car on the way out. Gawd I hope some tweak didnt have their child locked in a car while they were playing.
