    Updated - 1/21/2012 2 Check-ins Here

Most of the reviews are about the convenience of the 5 AM delivery but i want to tell that i love, love dining in at Chicagos Pizza & Pasta.

I have tried most of the Pasta dishes. My favorites are polo lemone, chicken on a bed of pasta in a delicious caper filled, lemony sauce; rigatoni with sauted veggies cooked to perfection  in a hearty tomato sauce; and pasta arabietta, pasta smothered in a delicious sauce with lots of eggplant. The choices are many and none of them disappoint.

Have you tried the ribs, the meat falls off the bone and are served in a tasty BBQ sauce. Or the wings; we were very impressed. They were crispy and plump and served with nice crispy celery just like those served in Buffalo.

I hear their deep dish is delicious too. I'm not a pizza lover so haven't tried it yet. I've seen it served by the wait staff and the cheese is abundant, melty and mouth watering as it stretches from the serving tray to the plates. I've heard lots of oohs and and.

The service is attentive without being intrusive. The manager/ owner is friendly and generous with comps for regulars like my husband and me. This is a highly under rated restaurant.

I was staying at the Monaco Kimpton Chicago to be near the 3 day LOLLAPALOOZA concert we were attending. I am from Texas, I know NOTHING about a great pizza from Chicago and my boyfriend does not like Chicago deep dish, so I asked the Concierge, and he said you gotta try Lou Malnati's. Well, my boyfriend and I looked at the menu and we didn't see anything similar to what we wanted, like a greek or mediterranean style pizza.
TWO hours later, after looking online for what we wanted in our price range and in our delivery route, we gave up and called the front desk again. Well this time we got the overnight front desk clerk, and she said Chicago's was really good, and once she mentioned, they make their own dough including pasta, I was sold! We looked on the website and found 2 options for coupons, so we chose the order for free wings with a $25 purchase I think, maybe less. We ordered the GRECIAN DELIGHT, Fettuccine Alfredo, Ceasar Salad, and the free wings (8) for under $30. We ate this two nights in a row, it was sooooo good. I have pictures I will post soon. Thank goodness for that front desk agent, love her!
P.S. If you like pizza with pesto, feta (goat) cheese, and tomotoes, this is the place to get one!

Great place, great service, and very clean.

I had been avoiding pizza for some time because my doctor recommended avoiding wheat.  Recently, I saw a flyer that said Chicago's Pizza & Pasta offered gluten-free pizza and calzones.  I was craving pizza around that time, so I decided to try it.   I ordered the thin crust version with anchovies, and I was not disappointed.   It had just the right amount of sauce, cheese, and anchovies, and since I ordered a medium for one person, I had plenty to take home.  I will definitely be back and will probably try some of the non-pasta entrees next time.

Now I never thought I would be one to write a review, but my recent experience got me so frustrated that I felt it necessary.
First of all the person who took my order was extremely rude and told me I was wrong about my order when I was reading directly off of the menu. She rushed me off of the phone which forced me to call back. The second time a different person answered who was able to take my order competently. After this I thought everything was OK.....wrong again.
I received my order and everything was there, however later in the evening I realized that my card had been charged twice, first for the order that was wrong and then again for the second order that was received. I called immediately when I realized this had happened and the person who answered the phone told me it should be gone by the next day. Well the next day comes about and the charge is still on my card so it had obviously not been voided out.
I called the store when it opened and talked to a manager who told me she would call me back in a minute. Thirty minutes later I had to call back and then have to repeat the entire story that I told her and other employees multiple times already. Then when I mention that this whole ordeal was a hassle to me she started to get fussy and explained that there was nothing she could do about this situation. I'm not one to expect free things but there are times when you need to alleviate customer stress one way or another. However this is not the deal when it comes to Chicago's pizza because they obviously don't care about their customer satisfaction. I stated that this was my first time buying from Chicago's Pizza and that it would definitely be the last, to which the manager stated "well that's too bad."
Thank you Chicago's Pizza for the WORST experience I have ever had yet!

Ok, so it's Christmas night and my family's oven smokes out. We look up pizza places in Chicago that are open this holiday and Chicago's was the first to pop up.

So, we place our order over the phone for delivery and everything seems fine. Until 20 minutes later we get a call from the manager's phone saying that they won't deliver to us since we're out of the area and that there are no other locations open tonight.

I work at a pizza place myself. I understand things can get busy, but if someone is out of your area you should let them know IMMEDIATELY not twenty minutes later. Thanks for wasting my time.

The pizza was mediocre. At least I think it was. I couldn't tell the difference between the pie and the cardboard disc underneath it. Maybe that's why I couldn't get any flavor...

Anywho, we ordered on Grubhub and had the order processed by "Maurice". Maurice gave us tomatoes and spinach. Interestingly enough, we had only ordered tomatoes. Shouldn't complain, it's $2.15 per topping and I'm cheap- Which is why I called back when we didn't get the free sprite we'd been promised for ordering over ten dollars. What? Where's the bubbly goodness?

When I called back the driver (who had left a mere minute before), he said "Ohhh yeah. Yeah", mumbled something and hung up on me. Chicago's Pizza & Pasta really values their customers... Not coming back for seconds.  You lost me on the first go-around, CP&P.

    Okay.

Buying groceries mere days before you leave for vacation makes no sense. But I was hungry last night and needed something to hold me over. It was a little late, so of course my mind drifts to pizza. Ordered from Chicago's, it got to me in about an hour. Alright.

Before I go on, let me state that the flavor wasn't the problem. I was fine with the flavor of the pizza.

But why did this pizza taste like leftovers fresh out of the box?

I like leftovers...after they've been left over. Not when I first get it!

The pizza was kinda tough. And the crust? Oh, the crust was too hard to be edible. You know that day old pizza that you microwave and it's good enough to eat, but not quite as good as it was the night before? That's what I felt like I was eating! What's good, Chicago's? What's really good? I'll tell you what wasn't really good...that crust.

I hope this isn't a regular occurrence at this place. You get brownie points alone for staying open so late.

Ordered from here the other night. Prices are super reasonable and you get a pretty large portion plus salad and bread. We both got pasta entrees which were good but pretty heavy and a kind of generic taste. I'd probably go for pizza next time but not a bad choice especially for families or groups.

Yes 5 stars for Chicagos, probably unexpected for most people seeing this on Yelp, let me explain:

I have had a long history with Chicago's Pizza. In college Chicagos would be a rather standard late night food delivery solution so actually I got to know their pizza very well. I would say that it is good stuffed pizza... I stopped ordering from them for a while because on a huge order (like 40 pizzas) we got jipped like 2 or 3 of them. I got mad and didn't order from them for several years.

However, they recently introduced their gluten free pizza. My girlfriend who has celiac disease was very excited about it and for the last few months we have ordered it a few times.

    - The first time we tried the gluten free stuffed pizza it was so doughy that it was really hard to eat. The crust and dough wasn't working at all. I would say poor performance.

    - We tried on another occasion the thin crust, which was also ok.

    - Yesterday we tried the stuffed pizza again and something has changed! Their gluten free stuffed was so good that at a point I was really scared that they delivered to us the wrong pizza. After confirming, I realized that they must have improved their recipe and actually I would now say it is probably the best gluten free pizza I have had in Chicago. The pizza is no longer super doughy as it was before and the crust is actually quite crunchy. The crust is different from the regular chicago's stuffed pizza, but the actual pizza part I would say is very very close to regular Chicago's pizza. For my girlfriend it was mind blowing, not only can she order pizza like a normal person but they also deliver until 5 AM. So just like a normal person she can get pizza when we get home from a drunk night, and the pizza is great.

5 stars for the great gluten free chicago style stuffed pizza

I'm a fan of the stuffed pizza.  Sausage and Jalapeno.

    Stuffed all the way.

Just tried the thin - also good.

Have always had good experience with their delivery, too.  Fairly prompt and no box accidents.

The appetizers are only fair.  The wings are really just fair.  at best.  as are the jalapeno poppers.  not really good.

but definitely like the stuffed sausage and jalapeno.  or the stuffed spinach and garlic.

if someone from out of town asks, say Chicago pizza is really filo based lasagna  :)

It is after 2am, you're starving and you're too drunk to drive. What are you supposed to do??

    Easy...

Call Chicago's Pizza! They are open and deliver until 5am. Score!!!

Is this gourmet food? No, not at all.
Does it taste like gourmet food when you've had one too many? Yes, yes it does. Just your average pizza, fried appetizers and sandwiches. Nothing fancy here folks.

Chicago's is awesome solely for their hours and decent prices.

My suburban friends LOVE the novelty of pizza delivery until 5am. If you're really smart, like me, you have Chicago's number saved in your phone. That way you can call to order your pizza immediately when leaving the bar. For everyone's safety, really. You can completely avoid the "Who's sober enough to drive us to White Castle?" conversation as well as that DUI. You're welcome!

I am sick of this location, and I am probably one of the people keeping it in business. Seriously, my roommates and I order from them almost every weekend, sometimes multiple times in one weekend if we have people in town. This is the last straw though--I can get the exact same product at 3 other locations, and I'm switching to the Sheffield one.

Today was the THIRD time this year I looked at my bank account and these people have accidentally forgotten to add something or left off a delivery fee or just plain swiped my card twice, and then had to cancel charges and re-swipe the card. This wouldn't be a problem if it didn't post to my checking account as two separate purchases, making it look like I spent $80 instead of $40, and screwing me out of that extra $40 for several business days. True, they cancel the duplicate charge right away, but if it happens on a Friday night, "several" business days" means you don't have access to your own money again until like Thursday.

This time, our order was big enough that doubling it overdrew my checking account. And all they have to say is, "The charges are only 'pending' and will be gone by Wednesday.'" Now I have to get into it with my bank and fight fees and all this garbage, because these people simply aren't careful when running credit or debit cards. I am frankly no longer comfortable with a place that has is so careless in dealing with my money. It is unacceptable, and I will absolutely NOT be using this location again.

Got wings and jalapeño poppers from here for a Bears game. BIG MISTAKE.
The wings were the nastiest I've ever had. They were super soft, not crispy and hot like they should be. There's barely any sauce on them. The celeries looked like the sad remainders of a really old celery stalk.
When we got the wings, we had to pop it back into the oven for another half hour to make it edible AND we had to add our own sauce to it so there was some flavor.
The jalapeño poppers were also pretty terrible. It's a slice of jalapeño and cream cheese deep fried. It's super bland and just gross in general.
Lesson learned. Skip this place next time.

    Really bad, really greasy food.

We tried a slice of pizza, a veggie sandwich, and an Italian sandwich.  Ingredients were not fresh (not past the expiration date, but not tasty), and flavor combinations were off and unbalanced.

Even for what it is, the food was bad.

The first time I dined at this fine establishment I drunkenly stumbled in and got a slice. After proclaiming it as the best pizza I've had in my life I was assured by friends that my feelings were only such because I had indulged such pizza at two in the morning three sheets to the wind. So I went back, and while the pizza wasn't quite THAT good, it still absolutely held up.

I've since been back for their non-pizza selections (pasta, sandwiches and the like) and everything seems to hold up nicely as well. It may not be the best food in town, but it is definitely a meal worth having.

This is a good place to go if... you are drunk and want to taste the best pizza ever, or are sober and merely want to have a really good slice.

Oh wow - nononono, this is BAD pizza.

I had some time to kill before an appointment last night so I ran in to order a slice.  The girl at the counter says all they have is thin pepperoni and deep dish sausage available.  I order the pepperoni.

Before I continue, let me ask you this.  Have you ever seen someone pour salt on a slug?  How this glossy, plump little creature dries to an indiscernible patch of nothing in less than 15 seconds?  This is the feeling I got after taking a bite of this pizza.  Salt, salt, salt, dear god more salt.  The pepperoni was salty, the cheese was salty, I think even the crust was salty but at that point I couldn't taste much anymore.  After 2 bites I gave up the good fight and threw it out.

Folks, I am a salt whore.  I would much rather have a salty peanut than a sweet pastry any day of the week.  But when even I cant handle it you know it's bad!  Ugh - with so many pizza options available in this town, save yourself the gallons of water you will have to drink and avoid Chicago's.

773-477-2777 is one of the only remaining phone numbers I have memorized. This is because I memorized it prior to 1998 when I got my first cell phone.

So I've had a long relationship with Chicago's Pizza. We've had some really good times. Some late nights...some early morning leftovers. And like all relationships, we've had some bad times (you really think I would order an onion and garlic pizza??!) But in the end, my love for Chicago's Pizza is still going strong.

It's not that it's my favorite pizza. It's not my favorite.  it's just the whole combo.
    * Even though I have the phone number memorized, I don't need it. I order online and don't have to talk to anybody!!! Love it.  You even get a $10 coupon every 12 orders.
*Not just pizza. My other favs include: french fries (or cheese fries), spinach romano (requested with rigatoni instead of fettucini), fresh vegetarian sandwich, Italian grilled cheese panini.
    * Pizza by the slice! In the afternoon, evening, or late night! I never have the patience to wait for an entire stuffed pizza, so I love that I can get stuffed pizza by the slice here.
*At Christmas, they gave me a Chicago's Pizza pint glass full of candy with my order :)

One drunken evening, I bellied up to my laptop and ordered a Hawaiian Delight from Chicago's Pizza at 3:30 am.

Imagine my surprise when a piping hot pizza arrived in only 35 minutes!  And even more astonishing-- while opening  the box, excited by the prospect of pineapple, Canadian bacon, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese only to see... a crap load of capers.

Yes, capers!  Oops. I inadvertently checked the wrong box on the online order screen and ordered the Mediterranean Pizza.  But really, is there such a thing as a "wrong pizza" at 4 am?  No.  It was all good.

Since that evening, ahem, early morning, I've tried the Hawaiian Delight and the Grecian Delight.  Not the best pizza in Chicago, but always fast and just tasty enough. The crust is a little doughy for my liking and the pie could use some more cheese, but otherwise, Chicago's Pizza delivers.  (Bad pun intended).

Chicago's boasts a menu that should satisfy no matter which pizza philosophy you espouse.  Thin crust, thick crust, and regular crust are all available as well as a list of "gourmet" options for each.  Their gourmet options are all very tastey if not mindblowingly unique.  I especially recommend the mexican and greek pizzas.

Not a pizza fan?  No problem.  There's also a wide variety of appetizers and a decently sized pasta menu.  Fettucini con Vodka is a must try!

Chicago's loses 1 star due to extremely inconsistant delivery times.  As a rule, I add 20 minutes to whatever estimate they give me.

Oh, how I love this place!!

So waitaminnit......you mean I can actually go to Liar's Club, make love to my whiskey all night, stumble home after I can no longer tolerate being attacked by drunk trixies, and THEN I can order a pizza?  But wait......I don't eat cheese.  Holy crap; you mean their cheeseless pizza is actually edible?!  Who woulda thought?

If you're vegan or lactose intolerant, or maybe just trying to cut some calories after all the beer you've consumed, order a stuffed pizza with artichokes, garlic, spinach, and mushroom, and no cheese.  F*****g magical, dude.

They deliver until 5am, but the pizza's actually good even if it's 6pm and you're completely sober.

Everytime I order from this place, they bring deliciousness to my door!  Mmm, I've ordered delivery from here three times and I have no cause for complaints.  I've ordered the pizza once at 3am and it was good... although the memory is kind of fuzzy.

The two other times I ordered their chicken noodle soup... delicious and italian sub.  Also good.

I have tried their caprese sticks and its okay.  I had to add my own balsamic vinagrette to make it taste the way I like, but the basil was really fresh.  Yummy!

Overall, four stars for good delivery men who laugh at my lame jokes and the food is good.

I have to say that Chicago Pizza was good to me last week.  I had just returned from an out of town trip.  It was getting late I was tired and just not up for cooking.  I decided to give them a try since I could get delivery.

I wasn't disappointed by any means.  I ordered the veggie gourmet pizza and added prosciutto.  It was delicious.  The didn't skimp on the toppings at all.  There was lots of eggplant (anything eggplant is tasty in my book) and spinach and mushrooms and even broccoli.
They were also generous with the prosciutto.

Delivery said it would take over an hour and it came in just under an hour.

I will try them again so that I can add to the review.  But for now....a yummy 4 stars :)

I picked up a pizza from this place last night and it was OK.  This place is good because they deliver until 5am weekends.  I have never needed a pizza that late, but it sounds useful.  Your standard thin crust, but not super thin, similar to Nona's or Amato's pizza.  Nothin extraordinary or special, but it's ok.  The cesar salad was decent, too.

But if you want a REALLY, really good pizza, go to nearby Art of Pizza and get a pan pizza, they are the best in the city of Chicago!

Chicago's Pizza is that lover you only call when nothing better came along at the bar/club.  Good enough to get you through the night, but not when you have options.
Art of Pizza (one of the best deep dish pizzas in the city) is right around the corner, but they aren't open at 1am.  When your in a drunken haze, Chicago's flaunts their monopoly on pizza in the wee hours of the morning.
The pizza is alright, but you wouldn't bring it around your friends.

Let's be honest, this is the place we call when it's 2 or 3 am and we're drunk and HUNGRY.
Pizza by the slice? YES, PLZ.
Want a whole pie? 4 Cheese Hand Tossed!!! It's so good.

The pasta is dry and undersauced, the fried food is soggy, the tiramisu is bland at best...stick with the za.

I almost always order out so I can't say much for the location itself. But the food is pretty good. The thin crust pizza is ok. It tastes good but the crust is always a little tough. I love the pasta. They have gourmet pastas that are relatively inexpensive averaging about $12, and they really load the bread on you. It also comes with a choice of salad or minestrone soup.

They also have dessert including an assortment of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.

Service is great. I usually order out and the delivery is often under an hour even during weekends. They disappeared from Grub Hub delivery for a while for some reason but they have returned with a vengence with no minimum, so you're not ordering large pizzas with 100 buffalo wings just to meet the minimum. For a single guy ordering for one, that's a relief.

Can you write an objective opinion on just one type of pizza?  HELL YEAH!  I have had Chicago's three times now and each time I have gotten the same kind.  Their Four Cheese Pizza with tomato and basil.  BALLS!  That is some damn good pizza!  The gouda cheese is perfect on it.  The roasted garlic stands out with the fresh tomato.  Now, granted, the first time I had it was at 4 am after a night of drinking.  Let's face it, at that time, eating a shoe would have been amazing.  But the next time I had it I knew the buds of taste in my mouth weren't wrong!

GET IT OR ELSE!!!!! *shakes fist*

Chicago's Pizza delivers until 5am, has a wide menu of fatso food items, is inexpensive, and has online ordering. The stuffed pizza is a delicious pile of cheese, both the caprese sandwiches are good, and while I've had a better caesar salad, it's really easy to get a much worse one.

    5am. seriously.

I really like straying from the Big 3 of Deep Dish, so a friend recommended Chicago Pizza for a date spot.  I was definitely not disappointed.  It was pretty low-key for most of the night with only a few other tables filled.  The complimentary focaccia was a really nice touch, and the entire restaurant had a great atmosphere for a date.

My friend raved about the crust and I was not let down.  It was definitely one of the better crusts I've had since moving to the home of deep dish.  The sauce was ok, but didn't blow me away.  The cheese and toppings were applied liberally and went well with the entire pizza.  I think if the sauce were tuned just a bit and not spread so thin, this could easily become a favorite.

I've never heard of this place being packed and parking is mostly meters, but usually pretty easy to find.

    Hungry?
Eat somewhere else. Anywhere else. I am unfortunate enough to work right aroud the corner from here and every once in a while I forget how terrible they are.
The food is actually just bad. Even if you are starving, dont eat it.
Plus you have a pretty good chance of it being wrong and being charged incorrectly for it.
Then you can deal with the surliest bunch of workers outside of the Weiners circle. And they are at least funny.
    Seriously, this place sucks.
Yeah, even drunk at 3 in the moring.

It was a long night of debauchery.  As usual, my friends and I had consumed too much alcohol.  At around 2am and pizza from Chicago's was ordered and it was kick-ass.  Best shit ever.

More drinks consumed.  More looseness taking place.  At approximately 4:30 am Chicago's was called once more.  The order was placed.  Excitement stirs the group of drunks.

Chicago's calls me back.  They said they are sorry but they can't deliver to me because I live out of delivery range.  Wtf???

I explain how we had just gotten one delivered about 2 hours prior.  They suddenly act like they can't speak English and hang up on me.  Motherfuckers.

I call back.  Verbal altercation takes place.  They hang up on me again.

BOYCOTT THIS PLACE!  NO ONE SHOULD TAKE SHIT LIKE THIS!!!

Oh yeah, I've allowed myself to eat Chicago's a couple of times since this night, because I am a terrible, gluttonous fat ass.

I love Chicago's pizza because the crust tastes like there are 3 sticks of butter in each delectable slice. It's like having a pizza and a decadent French pastry all in one! If I had an Italian-French fusion restaurant, I'd call it The Leaning Eiffel Tower of Pizza. Sorry, that was dumb.

    Buttercrust!

The pizza here isn't very good; the sparingly-used sauce is pretty bland and the crust is mediocre.  (Not that it really matters, since the only time I ever have it is when I am falling-down drunk, at which point anything tastes better than it actually is.)

I'm giving this three stars instead of two since it's open until 5 am and thus convenient after a long night of partying.  However, if my boyfriend's apartment wasn't a block away, I'd never eat here.  There's MUCH better pizza to be had elsewhere.

I think this place is great. They have my favorite deep dish pizza in all of Chicago, and freshman year of college we used to order it as "fourth meal" all the freaking time. (Hence the huge weight gain...)

I also like that they have a huge menu with lots of variety, so if you are wanting something other than pizza, there are options.

Today I used the online ordering application for a pick up order. It was easy, ready in under 30, and the turkey wrap I got was big and flavorful. The only annoyance is that it was not WRAPPED properly, and thus, messy and hard to eat.

Other than that, it's all good!
