Pretty good little place to get a quick burger. Prices are decent, not dirt cheap but not expensive by any stretch of the imagination.
The quality of the burger is what I would expect from a tiny local place like this, in the best way possible. As others have said, the fries are quite tasty as well.
Not sure about all the complaints on RC cola. I'll take RC any day over Pepsi.
Setriously craptastic. When I ate my burger, it tasted like the inside of a shoe and/or a dead squirrel. (Or how I'd imagine that would taste).
Fries were DOA.
I'm not a huffy hipster who wanted free-range bison burgers marinated in chutney or anything really difficult/complex, so the bar wasn't that high.....but they missed it.
The only place Busy Burger was "busy" for me was when I had massive intestinal regret about an hour after I ate there. The kind you usually get after White Castle, KFC or Long John's.
Now THAT"S a good burger! And pretty good prices too!
I had the turkey burger which was definitely above average (it's very easy to make a turkey burger bland and dull) - so props to Busy Burger for making the turkey burger happen for me.
I also tasted the bacon cheeseburger and it was quite tasty - really good.
The fries were fantastic, btw. Very crispy and well done.
I definitely prefer this place over Five Guys.
My only complaint - RC Cola? Really? I don't think I've ever run into someone who has had a craving for RC Cola. It's just not satisfying - RC just reminds you of something you're missing: coke. Well, actually, for me RC cola really reminds me of going to see the Mets play at Shea Stadium in the 80s because that's what they served there. That was the only place you could find RC in the NY metro area. Holla back if you know what I'm talking 'bout!
BUT anyway, I digress. This is a great place to go if you want a simply tasty burger. And the sidewalk patio is very nice, even if the music is a tad loud. The seats aren't super comfortable and you should watch where your chair legs land. I first sat down in my chair and it went into the tree well and landed in the one spot where there was a large hole. Nearly split my pants.
Graceful. As always.
This burger joint is dangerously located, just two blocks from my apt, and offers temptation-provoking juicy burgers (of a great variety) and hand-cut fries for relatively cheap. I'm particularly a fan of their fries --- freshly fried, pipin' hot, and with just enough coating of salt (and pepper as I like my fries)....
Now, if only there existed an "off" switch for those late-night cravings for fries...
The fries were great and the burgers? well I've had better...nothing special. The prices were ok (burgers or chicken sandwiches around $5) and I like that you can see what's going on at the grill station, but when I got the burger I was expecting something a little more satisfying. Dare I say that their burger resembled that of the flame broiled king burger? Ok, I just did. Sorry. Good news is those fresh cute fries are pretty good and I bet they'd taste even better with some warm cheese :)
It ain't easy getting a quick and tasty burger in the Pilsen/Taylor area, but this place does the trick. A tasty burger with fresh toppings, excellent freshly made onion rings, and, oh baby, RC Cola and it's brethren on tap. All for under $7, gotta love it.
Great charbroiled turkeyburger. Reasonable prices.
Very good burger joint. Nothing special, but for the price it is a nice juicy char grilled burger... Good Fries too.. They taste to me like they are fresh cut and double fried, which is a very good thing in my book. And they are open late (till midnight I believe), which will be very useful on the weekends. I'll be back for sure.
I love this burger joint. I used to go to school near here (15 years ago) and would alternate between a few different places. Some are still around, most are not. I know why Busy Burger is still there and I can make a few guesses why the other aren't. I still go back to Busy Burger.
Their burgers are great, whether it's ground turkey or beef. The toppings are always fresh (as are their buns) and loaded on. The best part, they are some of the nicest people you could ever ask to serve you lunch / dinner. The worst part, the wait. Not that it's longer than any other small burger joint, it's just so annoying because you can smell all the great food when you stand there waiting. The smells and anticipation make a 5 minute wait seem like 15. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in a try it. You won't be sorry. By the way, how could you say a $6 meal is a little pricey? That makes no sense. Let me know where I can find a great $2 or $3 meal and I'm there.
ok YUM. that's all i can say. Turkey burgers are fab. Cheese fries with giardinar yummmmmm
RoyalCrown COLA ON TAP? WHAAAAAAAAT!
Oh Chicago, how I love thee
I also don't get "kinda pricey"
When I used to work nearby I would probably come here once a week. Turkey burger and chili fries are pretty good, everything else is standard. Not worth going across town for, but superior to the other options in the area like Carm's,
Call ahead if you gotta get back to work in a jiffy, it can take a few minutes for them to grill up your meat.
An order of a double cheeseburger with a side of BBQ fries makes me sick in the best possible way. I believe the aforementioned combination (no drink because I'm a cheap bastard that drinks water) set me back about six bucks. It's not the most amazing burger joint but it's definitely not terrible.
You can be an angel here, eating a single Turkey Burger, or a little devil eating a double hamburger, loaded, with extra cheese. Either way you go, you'll end up in Heaven. Plus the service is friendly and the prices unbeatable for Chicago.
Yeah Busy Burger!! I worked by here a few years ago, and every once in a while we'd pop in to get some busy burgers. GOOD burgers for a GOOD price.
Good when you need your burger fix. They do it right, and their other menu items aren't bad either. Just your standard burger/hotdog/fries place. Plus, they've got RC on tap, so uh... you know. All hail the Royal Crown, and stuff.
This place is not bad at all. Best part is location. It is right next to the park! Plus, finding parking is not that hard in this part of Taylor...
Busy Burger makes their burgers when you order, so its none of that "sitting on the shelf 2 hours old" crap. Super tasty, cheap, and great for lunch.
Very quaint, but I wasn't a big fan of the burgers there. The cheese fries were nice, but not enough cheese. The fries should not be half full when the cheese runs out. The service is really friendly and the place is nice to sit down and enjoy a meal. I wouldn't suggest this place, but I also wouldn't go out of my way to keep to out of it. A little pricey for what you get too.
Pretty good burgers, they're cheap and fast if you're in the mood for a quick bite. Beware though, they don't take credit cards!
It's hit or miss with this west side eatery. Great for UIC students wanting a quick eat; but its kinda pricy for my blood, great turkey burgers though.
I really liked the burgers here. You can chose from lots of toppings. Their prices would fit any budget.
