5 reviews for Chicago Urban Tails
One of the Business' Favorite Reviews What's This?
They're fab! They have been sitting my rabbit, Chloe, for years, and I only have the best praises to give them. They always spend a lot of time with my pet on their visits, and genuinely seem to love what they do! They are reliable, dependable, fairly priced, and a gem to petsitting services in the city.
Wow. I was shocked to read bad reviews because Chicago Urban Tails has been a life saver for my large dog family.
I phone screened about 4 different agencies because well, my dogs, are basically my kids. Not only did I need to find someone I could trust to take care of my dogs, I also had to have someone who I could trust in my house unsupervised.
I choose Chicago Urban Tails because of their endorsement by Collins Canine, and based on my phone calls. Their prewalk onsite sealed the deal. They explained in detail how the walks would be structured and their training philosophy. All of which is based on structure and positive reinforcement.
They were very careful to get to know each of my dogs and their quarks. They walk my girls only during our walks, no group walks. They work on training while walking and have been very gracious about cleaning up unexpected messes in the house. Plus the messages they leave me are adorable and I know exactly what happened during the walk.
Did I mention it is very affordable? Because of their prices, I am able to have them come 4 days a week and walk all my dogs for the same price per month as digital cable. (Which in my mind is a good comparison. just like I like to watch The Wire, the girls like to get a break while I'm working during the day.)
Both Annemarie and Brandy have walked our girls. The dogs love them both and their tails start to wag wildly when they see either of them. I take their doggy delight to be an enthusiastic endorsement.
At first, they were very accomodating. I was impressed w/ the initial interview, and disappointed when I found out William wouldn't be the actual dog walker. But he definitely made me feel comfortable. He asked all the questions, including time slot and recorded them on his sheet. I had some questions - I ask a lot of questions, and they were great at following up. We went back and forth for a week or so and they always returned my calls.
Then, when we went to finalize, they said they didn't have the time slot available. After ALL of that work, the time slot wasn't available? That was one of the first questions they asked me!! It turned out to be a big waste of time.
These guys are great! I had them come for the first time over the weekend to sit for my 3 cats. Rebecca left a very detailed note about their activities, how the cats were, etc. It was great! It was so fun to come home to that and see that she gave them as much love as we do. I will continue to use them as we were more than happy with the service.
My dog has been walked by Chicago Urban Tails since we got him 1.5 years ago. Urban Tails has a great cancellation policy (by 9am same day), reasonable prices, and arrives around the same time each day. I've had 3 walkers over the 1.5 years, which I don't think is too bad of turnover., but I knocked off a star b/c of it. They leave great notes each day detailing the time they spent with my dog. I've been home when our current walker has come and my dog was soooo excited to see her, I could tell she truly enjoys walking my dog. I've trusted each walker that comes into my home and have recommended them to 2 other friends who use them daily too.
