A relatively new library, the McKinley Park Branch of the CPL is a great place to go on a hot summer day or cold wintry day to read. Lots and lots of windows, a beautiful reading garden outside and a great selection of Spanish and Chinese reading materials. They also have a great selection of cookbooks and books on Chicago history for a smaller library.

This is not the place to go to rent DVD's though. They have more VHS on the shelves...I only even thought to check because when I lived in Evanston their library had a better selection of DVD's than the local blockbuster.
