2 reviews for Chicago International Hostel
Ok, so for $40 a night, I can understand sub-par service. The showers, however, could really use some new curtains. And a comforter on the bed would really help. I stayed in the single room for one night, and it was ok, but the hostels in Europe certainly offer more in terms of cleanliness.
This hostel has been largely eclipsed by the newer hostel on Congress in the Loop. Your stay is cheaper here, but you are a good distance from downtown. Privacy is tough to achieve when you share a room with four (or more) persons. If you want to be around Loyola University and the lakefront and don't mind hopping on the nearby "L" station for commutes downtown and elsewhere, this hostel may be for you.
