I love these guys.
They are THE most flexible dog walking service in the city. Max is pretty easy to take care of, even though he's 13.5 but he loves routine and he LOVES Mike his dogwalker. Marc is wonderful; he and his crew have really helped me in a pinch. I wouldn't change a thing.

I've been meaning to write a review for a while. Chicago Dog Walkers is a great, reliable, organized business and I recommend using them if you need someone to take care of your pets!
They make sure you meet the walker and try their best to address any concerns that crop up regarding schedule, etc. Marc is open to discuss anything and is always cool headed even if you aren't.
I also like how they give you a little Chicago Dog Walkers note pad so you know that someone has been there and it has check boxes for #1, #2, Treats, etc and a place to leave a note.
Also note, the prices are reasonable for the service and options they provide. I don't need the service anymore but if I did I would still be using them!

Love these guys! Our walker Arturo was fabulous! I use the past tense b/c we recently terminated service w/ them. They raised their daily prices in May (from $12 to $14 a visit), which is understandable considering the economy, etc. We decided to make the switch to a daycare service at that point, only b/c I felt our border collie pup needed a lot more exercise than ANY of us can give her, lol.
But Art was always very diligent, responsive, flexible and caring. He left an informative note for us each day. Bear will miss him!!!
Chicago Dog Walkers has been an absolute life saver for me! Not only are Marc and the walkers very friendly and terrific with my ill-tempered labrador, but they will bend over backwards to help out if my schedule requires. I was home from work sick recently and overheard the walker talking to my dog as if it was her own and I absolutely love it! Highly recommended!!!
We have been using CDW for 2 years and love them. Our dog walker, Nereida, is the absolute best. She really loves our pups and takes great care of them. She always leaves us sweet notes about our little guys and is flexible if we need to cancel or add walks last minute. We are moving out of the area and are so sad to lose her.
I have never seen my dog so happy to see someone as he was the day I was home sick and Santiago, our dog walker, came to get him. These people are the real deal- friendly, love dogs, responsible, caring, and very customer service-focused. I've had problems with walking companies in the past, but the entire staff- from the walker to their billing department to the owner, Mark- is extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely nice.
As an uptight, smothering mother, I breath a sigh of relief everyday knowing that Henry is with people that know about dogs and care, very much, about him. Oh, and that don't eat my food or hang out in my place. Zing!

We are big fans of these guys. The first walker we had via CDW was fantastic, and our dog loved loved LOVED him. Sadly, he left for a year-long vacation, and we have since gone through two new walkers. They have been fine (and the latest one, we've only had for a couple of weeks, so it's hard to tell).
The things we like about CDW are as follows:
1) They only bill you for the days the walker comes. Previous dog walkers have made us pay each week in advance. With CDW they bill you at the end of the month for all the walks.
2) Auto-pay with a credit card. Very convenient.
3) Ease of change - on days that I stay home sick from work, or we suddenly have a need for a walker, we've always been able to call and quickly modify our needs for the day. Pretty great.
4) Notepad with walk status - there's a cool little notepad with checkmarks that the walker leaves every day telling you what your dog did. Our previous walkers would leave us notes, but it's nice to have a standard format.

CDW has been walking my dogs for over a year now and we've been really happy with them. When Patrick, our old walker from CDW, moved away we were really worried about having someone new since Roosevelt isn't always fond of new people. However, Marc and crew clearly know how to choose employees because Rosa has been great! Seeing them with her the few times we have been home when she came to walk them made it very clear that they love her!
The fact that they only charge you for the walks you use and the ease of communication are huge too.
We can't say enough good things about Marc and his crew of dog walkers. Our two Boston Terriers have been walked by someone from CDW since the first week we brought them home. Marc came over to meet us and the pups before deciding on a walker for us, and then set up a time for us to meet with the walker. Since then, we've transitioned to a new walker (because the first moved on to another job), Arturo, and he is fantastic. He is consistently on time, the dogs love him, and his notes are informative. We love the paperless billing.
We know that we can count on Arturo to handle the dogs' daily walk and we also know that we can call him or Marc if we're stuck at work or if there is some other reason we can't get home in time to take the dogs out in the evening.
We don't doubt for a second that Boris & Natasha are in good, kind, and conscientious hands with Chicago Dog Walkers. We also love that Marc is such a supporter of rescue organizations! Gotta love a great business man with a heart!
I've been a customer for almost five years.
Marc always finds great walkers. His folks are consistently reliable and good with my dogs (one of whom is crazy).
I've also used Santiago, our current walker, for house-sitting. He is a really wonderful guy.
I've used other companies in the past and been disappointed because they didn't walk the dogs long enough or didn't show up at all. Not so with Chicago Dog Walkers. They are top shelf. Give them a call. I promise that you won't be disappointed.
the owner, Marc, is really a super nice guy. we had gotten ourself into a situation in which we didn't have a dog walker lined up on my fiance's first day at a new job, which meant that little leroy was home alone for 12 hours. oops. not such a good thing & totally not his responsbility to fix.
but marc volunteered to come over that night & meet all of us & get us set up just so that leroy would not have to spend the entire next day alone for almost 12 hours. fantastic. he really is a dog lover and calmed the crazy beast that is leroy. i really think leroy likes marc more than me...but i do seem to be bottom on the list, anyway.
our walker is Rosa and she hasn't missed a day since we started. i have met her once & she was quite nice, but leroy also seems to like her which is clearly the most important thing, anyway.
I really also think that they have the best prices in the city. you really can't go wrong with marc and his chicago dog walkers.

I've been using Chicago Dog Walkers since I moved to the city in September. They have always been extremely reliable, and helpful when possible (turning off my straightening iron). My dog seems to like his walker, and hes happy to get in some mid-day excitement while I have to work.
They do give a discount for rescued dogs, which is really nice.
I have been using Chicago Dog Walkers for about 6 months now, and they are okay. I don't think they do anything spectacular, but I would recommend them. They do what I hired them for: walk my dog once a day. Michelle is who I have and she is really friendly and my dog seems to like her. The prices are reasonable and the cancellation policy is liberal (you can cancel anytime before they are supposed to come). They are also good with additional last minute walks. I just leave a note for her or give her a call and she will come an extra time on any particular day. They leave a note daily so I know what they did on their walk. There are so many different dog walkers to choose from, and I imagine most are pretty similar, but I have never used any and I don't plan on switching anytime soon.

They are prompt about returning your phone calls/emails, however they are so busy that they don't have any availability! I've been checking in w/ them for about 2 months now, but still no availability. I will say they are very courteous when replying, which is a big plus.

We chose them because of their flexibility and cancellation policy. Easy to make appointments with and very accommodating. Mark and Christopher both came over to meet the dog, right on time as scheduled. They were very warm and informative. Christopher is consistently good- he writes notes and takes good care of our buddy.
I receive fantastic, personal customer service from Chicago Dog Walkers. As Andy F. mentions, they always let me know if my pup's regular walker will be out for any reason, and who will be taking over as well as their contact info. My dog gets consistent, one-on-one attention.
I don't know why I haven't reviewed them before, probably because I'm completely happy and satisfied with the service that I almost forget they're there. We hesitantly set up our initial appt with CDW. Not only was I depressed about the added monthly bill but also felt weird about some stranger coming into our place everyday. But the initial visit was great, the owner and the walker came together and they were not only so engaged with our dog, they played with our cat as well which told me they were animal lovers like us. Aaron has been coming to walk our dog for over a year now and he was able to keep us after a short distance move, thankfully. He is extremely reliable and comes over like clock work. How do I know this, my dog gets a sad look in his eyes on weekends at the same exact time which we call "aaron time". And the money is well spent knowing our dog is happier, no longer has behavioral problems caused from being alone all day and we can hit happy hour or the gym after work once in a while without the guilt. I strongly recommend Chicago Dog Walkers to anyone looking for this service.

Chicago Dog Walkers are great. We had to quit them because our dog started growling at the dog walker for no good reason, and the dog walker wasn't very assertive. We had to find a place that had a female dog walker so switched services, but I would recommend Chicago Dog Walkers for sure! Very reasonable, friendly, flexible, professional, and helpful
CDW is the best!!! Ron walks my dog and he is super nice, friendly and reliable. He leaves me a note everyday. Ron and the company are very flexible - if I need to cancel or schedule an extra walk. Billing is really simple - they email me a detailed invoice at the end of the month to review and then they just charge my credit card. I treat my dog like my child and I am so glad that they take such good care of her!! I highly recommend them!
Marc and his crew have saved us on many an occasion and we would recommend their services to anyone. It is clear that they really care about their clients and their animal families and that always gives us peace of mind when we have to leave our pets for any length of time.
I have to steal a bit of the review from Matt S. b/c he is right on. We, too, are big fans of these guys. The first walker we had via CDW was fantastic, and our dogs LOVED him, too. Sadly, he left but our newer walkers have been great, too. We've had a total of three walkers over maybe 3 years so that's really not bad. And our dogs are a hand-full to say the least, and they've all managed them beautifully.
The things we like about CDW are as follows:

3) Notepad with walk status - there's a cool little notepad with checkmarks that the walker leaves every day telling you what your dog did. And they always leave additional comments - funny, crazy, or whatever is applicable to your dog. An example: "We just ran and ran and ran today -- after squirrels, birds, anything-- these 2 had lots of energy today."
4) Reliability -- they always show up, and they're so trustworthy that our condo association has always been fine that they have our keys; this is nice to know when starting a service with, at the time, total strangers
5) Rescue discount -- if you're a devoted shelter dog lover as we are, this company obvious values that too and gives you a daily discount when walking your shelter mutts (or non-mutts)
Overall, I really can't say enough good things. If you're looking for the best walkers in the city, you've found 'em here.
