The pizza was very yummy! The delivery guy was incredibly nice and the estimated delivery time was right on. My only complaint is the wings - I wouldn't get the wings. They're not even as good as Tyson frozen wings. The BBQ sauce is weak and the wings are heavily breaded, so if you like that you may like these. Will order again, just not the wings!

This is THE ONLY option for a decent fourth meal in the area. With that being said, we ordered ahead for pick up in the wee hours on Sunday and had to squeeze our way into the place while heavy crowds littered about on the tail end of their saturday night fun. Almost stood in the projectile path of a guy's hawked loogie. Eck!
Besides the usual greasy offerings of one topping pies, we ordered the margherita pizza and happily indulged after we lugged it back to my place. With a plethora of decent options during the day, I consider Chi-Town Pizza our go-to after-hours. -

All we got was soggy bread with marinara sauce and cold mozerella cheese AND salty salty chicken wings.....and the delivery man was just mean --___--

If you ate mud pies when you were little and never stopped, ...you'll give this place five stars and say "it's great". The guy taking the order did not communicate well at all and I had to repeat myself more than five times. When they arrived my name on the receipt was not the same as the one that my mom gave me (they got my name wrong after all that repeating). The pizza tasted like it was made by a culinary student...that took all his classes online

Chi-Town Pizza? So that's the name of it? I've tried to find this place on The Yelp several times without any luck because I never knew the name of it. And we all know how bad the Yelp search function is; search the adjacent businesses and something in Rogers Park comes up. Nice. Anyway, somehow I did finally find this place either on the general feed or in someone's reviews, probably thanks to the main picture. Winning!
Chi-Town Pizza is a hole in the wall pizza joint nestled in between some pretty scummy bars on Division. They have the pre-cooked slices in the display case as well as things like Italian Beef. A guy working the door will check to make sure you're thoroughly drunk before you're allowed to enter. Just kidding.
The slices at CTP are actually not bad. And the beef is pretty good too. It's just that it scares me to get food from the place. I've walked in and walked out more than once because it just feels so scummy. When you are in CTP late at night, it feels at any given moment like someone is going to puke everywhere or that a riot is going to break out. You don't want to hang out in CTP or directly in front on Division for very long. Trust me.
CTP is decent slices and pretty good beef. If you have to have late night grub when hammered on Division, it's better than Five Faces across the street, which is even scarier. It's the lesser of two evils in a block chock full of evils.
Three stars. -

Tried a Supreme Medium Thin Crust Pizza. It was sweet and very aromatic. Fold-able, soft, New York Style Thin Crust. The Medium Size was huge and I thought they had given me a large by mistake and then I saw the large and thought it was a flying saucer!
Toppings were well balanced.Tasty. Total was $20 plus tax.
The storefront is a little dumpy but blends in with the neighborhood bars on Division Street. It's mostly carryout.
Three Stars cause they kept taking phone orders and internet orders first and ignored the customers waiting in front of them. They also over charged me, but corrected it later.
All in all, if your in the neighborhood and have a hankering for thin crust., Chi-Town Pizza would fill the bill. -

Pizza tasted like old cardboard. Not that I've had that but I bet that's what it would taste like. I was so hungry, and had had a couple of drinks, I thought anything would taste good but that did not, at all! At $4 a slice this place is just plain offensive!

Looking for food after midnight around the Rush/Division clubbing district? I'd recommend Chi-Town Pizza for a quick bite - pizza slices are quite large and filling, but a little soggy and soft.
Honestly, that late at night and in that area, this is a decent option, but I wouldn't seek to visit here otherwise. -

After turning back the raw pizza we received a new one and it was fine. After eating the pizza my boyfriend was throwing up the entire night. While I can't necessarily peg it to the pizza (but he hadn't eaten anything else and he was fine the next day--once it was out of his stomach) we are sick of the raw pizzas and the barfing didn't make it any better. When a couple of girls in my building heard me discussing the whole debacle with my doorman (who has sent back Chi-Town Pizza delivery men before) they asked where we ordered from and when they heard they said "oh we don't order from there". Enough said.
We will try someplace else for now...1 Previous Review: Show all »

You know that saying, "Even when pizza is bad it's good!".......
.....well, at Chi-Town pizza? It's just BAD. I couldn't even eat my pizza, and I can eat anything.

Being a lover of late night food, I have a soft spot for this place when partying on Rush/State & Division. Usually a long, obnoxious line full of drunkards, but once you take a bite into that big, floppy slice of pizza, it is well worth it. They have other options for your munching pleasure if you don't want pizza.
If you are partying in the area, this should be a serious option for youListed in: Great Pizza, Late Night Eats

Gotta love this place for quick, late night drunk binge eating. The pizza comes in large thin slices and tastes soooo good post-alcohol consumption for some odd reason. I also recommend their stromboli's, we even stop in for these when were sober!
They advertise that they deliver, and upon attempting this late one saturday night, we realized it was a bit of a joke. An hour and a half later we decided to just walk there and pick it up ourselves. But carrying a ridiculously oversized box of pizza down division street is like a homeless person magnet. And after fighting the majority of them off, you come home 1-2 slices less, and realize that pizza was quite expensive and your still hungry. Just stick with eating a slice or two while there. -

I can't give this place a bad review. Chi-town Pizza is a must before heading back home after a night of drinking. IT HITS THE SPOT!
The line for food in the wee hours of the morning cracks me up.
My only complaint is they don't have too many meat-free pizza options.
That's okay, Chi-Town pizza...I forgive you, since you've helped prevent a few hang-overs for me since I moved to the Gold Coast neighborhood.Listed in: I'm a pizza connoisseur

There's a time in life when you like this pizza.. it's usually when your effing inebriated and you've lost sense of taste. Those times when you can't walk or move anywhere else and because of how close you are, you opt for an expensive greasy slice. I have never ordered a full pizza or any other food item. Tourists may like it or find its location awesome during late drinking nights. Chicagoans know better.
It's plain Jane pizza and cannot be recognized with the awesome of Chicago pizzas.
Is it good for groups ? Heck no. But during those heavily populated drinking nights at Rush and Division, the wait in line can be related to waiting to get into the only nightclub in town. I never have nor will eat their pizza sober. -

5 stars for the delicious, much-needed heee-yooooooge slice NYC-style of pizza one can get in-between closing time at the regular bars & closing time at the late-night bars. Add a little Parmesan from the no-nonsense Styrofoam soda cups, fold it up sideways, dip it in their garlicky ranch dressing, & wash it down with a cool soft drink & you're set!
-1 star for the incredibly amount of d-baggery & pathetic pick-up lines you'll have to endure while waiting in line for your slice. -
Review from Chris L.
Also known to my friends as "Drunken Pizza Place" this is the place to go when you're in the Triangle, wasted, and just want something to eat before hopping into the cab.
Their pizza is pretty good even when you're sober but the alcohol makes it even better. -

I came here under the influence of Elima- date- chicago. I saw an episode where the last 2 guys this girl was interested in got into a drunken fight at this place and since we were in the neighborhood, I had to just try a slice of reality tv history.
While in the long line, which moved really fast actually, I let these 2 boys who just got out of a stretch limo scissor cut me, they were funny! and I had begun to convince them to pay for my slices, but a las they were cheap college students.
I had a veggie slice and it was just okay. I mean, I was drunksy but i could still taste. Maybe the meat varieties were better? -
Review from Ariel L.
I have never been to this place on a drunken late night, which from the other reviews i have read is the time to go. I stopped in the other day and I have to say the pizza was at best average. The $4+ for a slice at 4:30pm was absolutely outrageous and will prevent me from ever going again. What a rip!!!
So unless you are wasted and craving a slice, i suggest passing on this crappy little hole in the wall. -

Was in Chicago on a business trip and was initially looking to score some deep dish pizza. While looking around on Yelp, decided to check out Chi-Town Pizza as it was within a reasonable walking distance from my hotel. Let me say that their New York style pizza is amazing. I had two slices of Sausage and it was To Die For.
Only issue I had was no place to sit really so I ate standing up at the counter. Bonus was that some friendly gentleman standing next to me sparked up a conversation which made me forget that I was standing.
People of Chicago are some of the nicest people in the US and their Pizza is equally great. -

I love pizza, but lets be honest you can only have so many variations that claim to be the best. To me, good pizza is good pizza and bad pizza is bad pizza, nuff said. This is a good pizza situation.
I ordered a medium pizza for 3 people with peppers and onions, an order of fries and an order of buffalo wings through http://chitownmenus.com as usual. The pizza was great, it comes in a pretty old school looking box and the pie itself didn't look like much, but it was delicious and fresh upon pickup. The french fries were amazing to the point that i could disregard my "good is good and bad is bad" theory. One may ask themselves how some french fries could be better than others, and i feel like a tool writing about how good some fries are, but you have to try them to see what i mean.
My big issue was with the buffalo wings in that i am concerned that the restaurant does not know what they are. When i order wings i expect to get at least a half dozen pieces of bird, half legs half wings, that have been cooked in an oven and basted in buffalo sauce. What i got was 5 pieces of deep fried chicken with a buffalo-ish dipping sauce...so i was a touch disappointed.
Overall, its another Chicago pizza place that is good for what it is. It is a place that i would order from when packing in to the apartment for a night of solo gaming, but it isnt remarkable enough for it to come to mind when referring a friend to pizza. -

Perfect example of: When pizza is great, it's great, and even when it's bad, it's still good.
It's not that hard to make pizza, and Chi-Town Pizza makes pizza.
And really, you're doing to charge me over $8 for two slices of that stuff? You're lucky you were the first place I found. -

Simply put, this is the best New York style, Chicago pizza available (yes I made that up).
I always eat pepperoni when I order pizza, but I would recommend trying their different kinds of pizza that they have in their display.
Always good, but late night is the best!
Prices are a little spendy for a slice of pizza. -

I've never had this pizza sober, but it tastes pretty damn good when you're drunk (esp. the veggie.. my FAV!). There's a pretty wide selection you can choose from. If you don't mind the wait, they will make it for you.

The first night I ate here merits 5 stars, the second night would be 3.
Our first night in Chicago, we ask the cab driver at 1am to just take us somewhere that "serves food." He drops us off at a dingy place that smells delicious, but upon stepping inside, we realize is all meat - hot dogs, burgers, beef sandwiches...the walls were probably made of meat. Being non meat eaters, we needed something else...so we ran across the street to Chi-Town Pizza.
We ordered a medium pizza, and left with it 15 minutes later. It smelled so good, it hurt inside to wait until we got back to the hotel to eat it, but there was no seating inside of CTP...it took everything I had not to devour it inside the cab.
Finally, we got to eat, and OMG, this was good pizza - flavorful sauce, thick stretchy cheese, hot, perfect. I debated relocating to Chicago.
So night two, 1am - we order it in after a night out, and are told that it will arrive in 35 - 45 minutes. We were hungry, but this was bearable, and...it would be worth it.
An hour and 10 minutes later (and 3 panicky phone calls by me), our pizza finally comes, barely warm...and needless to say, not quite as good or fresh as the night before.
So...I recommend this place, but order your pizza IN PERSON!!! -

Amazing pizza, and really close to my house-what more could I want?!
It's open til four, making it convenient when you're leaving a bar on Division or the general area before you go home and while you'll face a line, it moves quickly and is worth the five minutes inside.
They only take credit card if your order is 8 or maybe 10 dollars so if you're just getting a slice and soda, then make sure you have cash! -

Okay, unless you're drunk and out on Division St. I wouldn't go out of my way to grab a slice of pizza from here.
But that's exactly why this place is here. It's open till 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning not to serve phenomenal pizza. It's drunk food, and take it for what it is. Convenience!
Ask for the Gringo, if you can eat it without puking afterwards you get it for free, or another slice of something for free. At least that's what I've heard :) -

Okay so my first encounter with this hole in the wall of a pizza joint was at 3am. Not the usual hour for dinner or even a midnight snack. But, I was starving and stumbling and luckily stumbled through the doorway into 3am nirvana: Chi-town Pizza!
Now, I've been back many times since and this is the best NY style pizza in Chicago. The pizza is consistently yummy to my tummy, and they deliver! -

I don't get the obsession with this place other than its open until like 6 am. But, seriously, a slice of pizza is almost $5.00 and it's just okay. I would never really want it sober.
Another gripe I have is they have an entire menu, but it's almost weird if you order anything off of it. I think one time we tried to get breadsticks and everyone was so mad about it! God forbid you have to go make something you don't have "already" ready and can just pick up a piece and make a fortune. I don't know. I guess I get the "get the line moving" thing but then don't post your entire menu!
I mean the pizza is okay. And quick. And does the trick after drinking. But, the fact that this place has 4.5 stars on average confuses me.
Something else random - they BLAST rap music during the day. Haha. It's so random. Doesn't affect my review but I just think it's funny. -

I am eating one right now as I type. I was in the mood for a simple thin-crust, so I ordered one with pineapple. This stuff hits the spot. It has good crunchy-chewy ratio Moreover, I'm stone sober. Imagine how much better this is after a few potent potables. Maybe it could use a little more tomato sauce but otherwise it's good stuff.
Speaking of sauce, here's a small hint for you sauce whores out there: The crust is good with Barilla roasted garlic pasta sauce. Yum! Okay, back to eating. -

I have had it drunk many times, and sober many times. Its always amazing when I'm drunk and it's usually amazing when I'm sober.
Try to avoid any drunken puking bar hoppers when going here late nights to satisfy the drunchies, and be warned that nothing here is cheap, even if you want to order a whole pizza.
All that being said, its pretty good new york style thin pizza, which isn't always easy to find in Chi town. And, while the place seems pretty dingy inside and out, the pizza never fails to satisfy my ever present craving for pizza. -

Eh. This was the ultimate example of "average". Not bad, but far from great. If you're a fan of the dough for pizza, this place does have pretty good dough. Our friend got the house salad and said it was tasty with good size portions. The cheese sticks tasted like they were microwaved though.
The delivery time was also unacceptably long, but to be fair I think the go through a 3rd party delivery service. There are too many good places in Chicago, so I doubt I'd order from them again. I was just looking to try something new. -

I must say I HATE Division and state. It just smells like beer and vomit.
I do however like thin crust pizza/New York style pizza. Had a chi-town pizza for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was great. Not as big and thin as NY style, but good. Tried it again this last week and the crust was a bit to thick for my liking. Will definetly try again. Also like Edwardos, but their thin crust is sicilian style (squares) which I am not a fan of. -

Even though it's New York style.... I'll admit that it's good :) My girlfriend is a vegetarian and they'll even make her a pizza without cheese on it.
As for me.. I get the pepperoni and its damn good. The slices are perfect for folding.. When I'm drunk and am craving some greasy food I always head here or across the street to five faces.
I had a piece last night and it was good! Mmm.. -

Love this place. Did the Gringo Killer challenge with my coworkers. I had about 6 slices and called it quits. This is the place you would go to fill that early morning hang over or to fill your hunger when you're deliriously drunk. The pizza taste good without the sauce too!

As the other reviews state - late night on the way home and needing something. Yes it is open until 4am. Just as the other bars on the street are closing. This place will have a nice line. It moves quick. Take those two into account you can have faith that the pizza hasn't been sitting around and it will not contribute to a rough morning. I went with the calzone. It took a little longer and yes it's premade. They finish cooking it when you order and comes with a side of marinara. I went this route because we were walking back a few blocks to our hotel. I figured i won't drop my other slice of 'za. You know you can't order just one slice. Rush st is just so much fun and this is a good way to finish it. No i will not compare it to the bacon wrapped hot dog cart. Only because I haven't had that experience.

I remembered this being awesome, but after stopping in there Friday to grab a slice BEFORE I started drinking, I now think notsomuch. It took forever for them to heat up the slice, and as others have pointed out, it was indeed overpriced. I suppose it would do in a pinch as after-drinking food, but I wouldn't bother otherwise.

I think that this is the most delicious pizza in Chicago. Every time I'm on Division I have to make a stop for a slice.
