I've eaten at a lot of airports. As airport fast food goes, this was very good. I'm a fan of garden burgers and they had one for me. All I had to do was add the tomato, cheese, and grilled onions! Loved the sub roll bun and this was a meal in itself but I had to order the onion rings anyway!
I don't get through Burbank often, but next time I do, I will stop here for lunch! -

NASTY! Poor service (ok, so I didn't expect to get good service at the Burbank Airport) and horrible food. Greasy (no, REALLY greasy), flavorless, and overdone. The burger meat is not fit for a dog. And the "secret sauce"? The only secret thing about it is "how many people has it made sick?" I ate this burger at 2 pm and soon after I landed, I was blowing chunks.
I'll say it again - NASTY! The health code enforcement officers should be swarming this place. -

So I finally find a hamburger spot that I'm in love with the burgers and it happens to be in Burbank Airport in the Terminal A, so I've patently waited till I would be able to have a Cheez Burger and that day finally arrived when my mom had an early flight in to Burbank.. YES!!!
Placed my order which was hard since I couldn't see the menu, so I just went with a cheese burger and fries.. she told me come pick it up in 10 minutes...
Sooo off we went to the airport...( luckily I live close by)
It was drive up service, saw my mom, rolled down the window, she handed us the food and back to my place we went.
At first I was taken back by the bun itself.. it looked more like a sandwich in the wrapper then a burger since it's not round, but once you have your first bite... Game Over..
The sesame bun, the patty just seasoned right, not an overflow of lettuce, right amount of onions and pickles.. ( mouth watering now), the fries where just as delicious.. no oily greasy fries, nice portion of fries with a dab of ketchup and good to go...
I look forward to my next chezz burger -

Kept passing by this place over and over, departing and arriving from the "Jet Blue" gate.. Last trip, I reminded myself to save some room for a cheeseburger. When I got there, I told the cashier that I've been waiting months to have a taste of your burger. He immediately responded: its "better than In N Out".. OOOHH Strong words!
Before taking off:
Cheeseburger: It had a unique french sesame seeded sub roll bun, an oval shaped patty, grilled onions, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce and american cheese. It smelled good and looked pretty impressive.. Juicy, great flavor, bun was soft and grilled onions was a nice addition. Head to head with an In N Out "Double Double" would be a better comparison since their one meat patty was quite thick.. I would say In N Out Double Double for the win but not by much..
If your at the airport and you like Burgers, I suggest trying this little place out!Listed in: BURGER FEEVURR!!! - Los…

Nice surprise inside BUR A-terminal.
***Short Review***
Pleasantly & unassumingly decent 'no frills' burger joint.
Good quality meat patty & generous fresh portions of tomato & greens.
Patty really is 1/3 lb here and fairly filling.
Ingredients are better than Fat-burger & In-N-Out.
Sauce is mayo-based (or would be my impression), but light and doesn't overwhelm the flavor of the patty.
The preparation does take a bit more time.
Took me around 10 mins to get 2 regular Chezz Cheeseburgers, and they didn't seem busy at the time.
It's not a bad thing, just something to consider if you're in a hurry.
Would be nice if they had better alcoholic drinks.

Very decent, reasonably sized fast food burger.
Patty is well seasoned, decent quality, lean, & fairly juicy.
I recall the cook even honoring how burgers could be cooked, offering a customer after me that he would prepare it 'medium'.
Fresh tomato slices & lettuce were generous.
The sauce, which I could identify, was more mayo based but relatively light.
Cheese was okay, just a thin slice of cheddar, but it was fully melted.
Bun is nothing special here and arguably the weakest component of the burger.
It resembles what you might get at AM/PM, but not distractably bad.
Burger size is reasonable & hearty.
I have no reason to doubt its a 1/3 patty.
All in all, a very decent burger prepared nicely with reasonable ingredients and
portion size.
Also tried to order their root-beer float, but sadly they ran out of ice-cream.
They do serve beers, but offer an unfortunate selection of Corona, Heineken, and other things best forgotten.
Ultimately a solid 'no-frills' burger joint.
The fact that they are in an airport terminal, is great, but I would visit even if they weren't.
The store-front is a little gaudy, but the operation looks sanitary & the burger is solid.

I always hate being hungry at airports because the food is usually complete shit.
Enter Chezz Burger at the Burbank airport.
Have seen the reviews here on Yelp for years and always wanted to try it. Finally got the chance today for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised.
Very tasty burger - complete with fresh toppings and the works. Odd thing though, the burger is rectangular. I'm not sure that that's all about, but it didn't bother me. The fries weren't bad either.
Too bad you have to go through security to get one of their tasty burgers, or else I'd eat here more often! -
Review from Bao H.
It's a nice change for airport food, but gosh can you add a little more flavor? My fries were good, but that's not saying much for a place called Chezz "Burger". With a bun like a sub-sandwich I'd expect something special. Nope, too much bun for a too little burger. "Where's the Beef?" Well the patty was dry and the tomatoes and the lettuce was nothing to rave about. Overly priced (airport) and not enough taste -- thanks for the soda! - Enjoy!

This place is cool for a bite or whatever your needs before a flight. I've only eaten here once but that one time was pretty good. The service was fast and the food was great. My daughter of course loved the fries. I really loved how juicy my burger was. The hubby is not as picky as I am but he said it was good but of course you got the airport price of the meal. What can you do unless you want to go to the bar or newpaper store and get nuts or chips.

Short and simple: average burger, here's why: the square patty is fried on a grill not char broiled. Also the bun is not very high quality; It was do bready and too think. Also had an order of chili fries. I asked for no cheese, but it came with cheese anyway. This was better than the burger.
Everyone there was friendly enough and the service was fine (it was mid afternoon- not too busy in the airport).
Just average folks. But probably better than most of the other joints I'm the terminal. -

Why can't airport food be decent? I mean, really, why?
Without fail, I always forget to eat before I leave for the airport. I'm usually rushing with last minute details, so the idea of cooking up some grub slips my mind. So I get to the airport and start to think about all of the wonderful things that can happen once the plain takes off, like crashing and I suddenly get really panicked thinking, "Shit! I can't die on an empty stomach, what kind of foodie does that?!"
So since I usually fly Southwest, I foolishly hit this Chezz Burger and order a breakfast sandwich or a burger depending on the flight time. The breakfast sammich ain't half bad, I mean, it's hard to mess up a scrambled egg, a slice of ham and some cheese on some well buttered and greasy bread. The burgers on the other hand, ugh blegh, nasty. You are better off going with a power bar or a bag of mixed nuts from the newsstand down the way.
As for the people working here, they are great and speedy and don't lolligag over your order since they know you are most likely running late for your flight. I appreciate this since you really don't need any added stress before getting into a big heavy metal bird you hope will stay in the sky. Yeah, I love flying, can you tell?Listed in: Los Angeles Burgers, Los Angeles Fast Food…

Wouldn't it be nice to go on a business trip and not get stricken by a heinous case of diarrhea? Whenever I hit the road for work, I have to fill my ditty bag with various bottles of antacids and milks of magnesia. Man, it gets old. Airport food is the WORST!
The proprietors of airport food establishments know that they will rarely get repeat business and their patrons are stuck behind an impenetrable wall of TSA security doofuses. Thus, I believe they just don't give a rat's a@@ about quality or service. However, there is one little gem of a burger stand sitting smack dab in the middle of the terminal at BUR.
Seriously, these guys make a kick ass burger! It's fun to watch the other travelers scarf down these unexpected treats; a mixed look of relief, surprise and unadulterated joy spreading across their squirrel-ish stuffed cheeks. No, it's not the greatest food EVER, but the burger is fresh and tasty and the fries are hot and crispy. No old grease taste or smell. WAY more than you would ever expect from a little joint in the airport.
Whenever I'm waiting for a plane in Burbank, I get something from Chezz Burger--whether I'm hungry or not. They deserve my business and, actually, they deserve some kind of medal. On behalf of all air travelers, may the blessings of St. Christopher be upon you, Chezz Burger! -

I was intrigued by Chezz Burger's name. It's a creative name that successfully straddles the fine line between hip and lame. It appealed to my inner dork. I liked that there was a crowd of travelers inhaling burgers in front of this place, and that it looked sort of authentically old-school. I even liked their neon signs advertising root beer floats (I wish I got one).
My burger and fries were made to order and ready within 2 minutes. A minute later I was sitting at my gate stuffing my face with one of the best burgers I've ever had, and definitely the best thing I've ever eaten in an airport.
The burger: It was enormous. It was served on a soft, oblong sesame bun that was toasted. There was a light spread of a secret sauce that tasted a little like Russian dressing. There were pickles and crisp lettuce and tomatoes. The burger itself was deliciously seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection.
The fries: Piping hot, crispy and well seasoned and tasted like potatoes. It was a generous helping. Unfortunately, I had to throw half of the fries out because the doors to the plane were about to be sealed and I really, really wanted to get back to OAK. And let me get on the pulpit for a second: fried food has no place in a confined space. -

Scarfed one of those cheeze chezzes down at the Bob Hope airport. Was it delicious? Yes, I must admit. But anything above average in quality will taste awesome after fasting for a day.
As previously noted, the vendor offers no seating, but there are dozens of places to sit at the terminal gates.
I just took my food over, planted myself in a chair and consumed the sub-shaped burger-- never minding whatever looks of horror and disgust came my way.
A feeding frenzy that almost made me miss my flight... but I can't blame Chezz Burger. It's not their fault this airhead went to the wrong gate.
Next time you're in Burbank's SouthWest Airlines terminal, check out the Chezz.

OMG. Whoever gives this place a good review should be forced to eat their own shoe. Cause that's what these burgers taste like.
Ordered a chezzburger while waiting for a flight to Phoenix. Got a school lunch cafeteria burger. Greasy meat on a rectangular bun wrapped in that metallic paper that causes everything to sweat and get mushy. Meat is mostly tasteless and crappy, sweating grease. Flavorless tomato. Lifeless lettuce. I squeeze on bbq sauce out of one of those little school cafeteria packets of generic 'sauce' to try to add some flavor at all. It stays greasy but now also becomes somewhat sweet.
Once I'm in the air, all I can taste is crappy, greasy meat. I don't eat for the rest of the day because I feel gross. Ewww... -

If you're hungry and want a pretty good burger at the Burbank-Bob Hope Airport, check out Chezzburgers in Terminal 2. Like the name suggests, they do cheeseburgers and hamburgers. They also do grilled chicken sandwiches. Add an order of fries and that's about the extent of their hot food.
You can also get a root beer float and some premade salads and sandwiches which looked pretty large and tasty.
The burgers are made to order. They're rectangular in shape and about 1/3 pound of Angus beef with your choice of toppings (onions, lettuce, tomato, pickle and "special sauce"). A nice touch is you can have grilled onions at no additional charge. My burger was done medium rare and was very tasty. The fries were also hot and tasty.
There's no seating except for the regular seats in the boarding lounge, hence one less star.
As airport food goes, this is pretty good.Listed in: Airport Food

Over priced, but it is in an airport so what do you expect? Decent pizza and a great salad bar.

I'm not sure if it was because I was really hungry, or just impressed that in an airport I found the kind of burger joint that I'd choose to eat at normally. But this place really impressed me.
I ordered a gardenburger with cheese and some fries and about 5 minutes later one of the guys working the counter stepped out to where I was engrossed in my laptop to let me know that my food was ready.
As other reviewers have mentioned, their burgers are round, while the buns are kind of rectangularish--this made it a little messier to eat, but that's not always a bad thing. I'd grabbed some condiment packages, but I didn't end up using them because the nice blend of cheddar cheese, some kind of special sauce, diced onions, etc.
Also, the fries weren't as crispy as I like them, but they weren't bad and there were plenty of them.
All-in-all, if you like burger joints, you'll probably like Chezz Burger -- I do!
As far as prices -- haven't you people noticed that food costs more in airports? Sure, I spent 10 bucks on a burger and fries -- but this was so much better than eating at a Chili's or TGIFridays. -

A's Review:
I really really like this place. I wish it weren't stuck behind some airport security.
The first time I saw this place, I didn't get to eat there. "M" & I were heading to Vegas or Ohio or something and we stopped off at the first decent looking place inside the terminal and had Pizza and something else. I love pizza but was disappointed. Then I saw this stand, "Cheez Burger" and instantly had eaters remorse. I quietly mumbled... "Double Cheeseburger, beats Pizza..."
"M": What?!
"A": Oh... sorry... I wish I didn't eat that Pizza. It was horribly foo foo and not good.
"M": But I thought you loved Pizza.
"A": I do but look... Double Cheese burger beat Pizza...
"M": What? What do you mean?
"A": You know... Pizza beats Burgers, but Double Cheeseburgers beat Pizza... and that one looks good.
She laughed at me, but understood.
I eventually got to eat their burgers on the way back from a business trip and i was not disappointed. I love the rectangle shaped burgers and all the fixin's. The fries were awesome as well.
Again, I wish there wasn't a plane ticket and security check holding me back from getting a burger from here. =( -

I think this place is incredibly tasty. The prices are high, leading to four stars, however it's an airport and is to be expected.
I think the burger was delicious, I wish I had one of these places in town. My friend got the chicken fingers, which were also good. The fries were good as well. I wish they would've refilled my root beer for free since the meal was large and made me thirsty, but what do you expect. I think the burgers are great, and I've been craving one since. -

This place melts the cheese on the burger perfectly. The patty is also cooked perfectly and pretty much its almost a perfect burger. The only problem, for a burger that is not sooo big and didnt come with anything. Not fries, drink or even chips. The pricing is pretty high up there... I understand that it is in an airport but I feel like its still over charging more than usual.

I had another Chezz Burger on Friday - about average as far as burger stand burgers go, but a bit pricey, as the single cheeseburger, fries, and a Coke set me back $11. I like that the skinny fries are nice and crispy, and for some reason the novelty of the burgers being oblong still hasn't worn off.

Airport food or not, this is an awesome burger. It's not the best in the world but when your choices are limited, a hot charbroiled double Chezz Burger seems like it just might be. I purposely try to arrange all of my flights through Burbank for a Chezz.
And now that Chezz has been voted best of Yelp, I can only hope that they open a burger stand in the community. -

I rolled my eyes when a burger, fries and drink came to $11 -- typical for an airport. But I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food. Burger was big and juicy and fries were crispy. They were so plentiful that I couldn't finish them.

I never thought I'd be reviewing an airport restaurant! I usually dread them and try to grab something before I get to the airport. This burger was so good that I got another when I returned to Burbank! Hell, I am thinking of flying out of here more often just for the burger (quite a hike from LBC!). There usually isn't much to a burger and this one is perfect- juicy, hot, fresh, and unconventionally shaped! I loved it!

Not a five star burger in the normal world, but in the special world of airport food - this is definitely five stars and I'm not even a big cheeseburger fan. Try it - it's not healthy or in any way good for way, but it is really good for airport food.

Seriously? $4 for a bottle of water - who are you kidding! On top of that the service was extremely slow and everything was overpriced and just tasted ok. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and it was a bit greasy..Also there were no tables and chairs which is really ridiculous..

Freshly grilled chicken sandwich is great. Served on a soft bun with crisp lettuce and tomato slices, this was definitely not your normal airport fare. There's a counter. To stand and eat at but no tables and chairs. I flew an hour flight after eating and had no digestive problems! Oh and their fries are addictive!

While waiting for my 8 o'clock night flight back to San Jose, I stumbled across this little gem- maybe I was starving.. but they were the ones that got me first hooked on the garden burger (and I'm no even a vegetarian! I just don't eat HAMburgers) ! After I ate it here, I had to try the garden burger everywhere else-- and it doesn't compare~ It was greasy, hot, unusually shaped- but most importantly... delish! The fries were great too... So, next time on my trip back to LA- I'm flying back to Burbank just to eat here again before my flight departs back to SJ :]

awesome value for it being in the airport. i even liked that it was on a roll and not a typical bun. the service was fast and friendly. there wasn't anything for me to complain about. and as usual, walter flirted his way into free food items. well, this time it was a free drink. and oh WTF, he even told the lady who was the cashier that he's known for his flirting for free food. i'd texted him a moment or two before he was speaking to her and he showed her the text. for that, he got a free drink. WTH!!! there's something about walter that everyone just seems to love. what is it?? why didn't i notice it? LOL. jk. ♥ christina ♥
