My first experience with Cheyenne Grill was with a friend about seven years ago and I have been coming back since. I think they have one of the best burgers in Atlanta. They actually know what medium rare means.
The best thing about this place is on Monday where they have five dollar burgers. Any burger. Five dollars. All I really want on it is bacon though. They always taste great, good fries too. On Sunday nights they have all you can eat wings too. I believe every day (maybe just weekdays) they have half price burgers and wings after 11. You just cannot beat that.
I play trivia here sometimes too while I enjoy a delicious burger or wings. They have a lot of big televisions and consider themselves as a sports bar. The only problem I have had here is no cell reception.

This used to be the place to watch UFC. Not many people knew about it and you could find seats everywhere. Now, everyone knows about this place and it gets packed. Nevertheless, we still go here to watch UFC.
They have TVs everywhere. You can situate yourself any way you want and still watch the fights. That's good since you can get comfortable.
They have decent drinks and prices, but their food kinda sucks.
I give it 3.5 stars.
Please bare in mind that this restaurant is under new ownership. It is no longer owned and operated by Metrotainment Cafe's. We run the Buffalo Bills Backers of Atlanta and we have moved to the Hudson Grille Midtown.

I really like this place-- to eat, watch sports, or play trivia. This most recent time I went to watch Georgia's butts get handed to them by Tennessee :) I ordered the wings and they did NOT disappoint. They also have a few good drink specials going on so that is a plus. One thing I really like about this place is that there is a room that's kind of set up like a living room-- big screen TV, couches, etc. so you can relax and watch the game just like you were at home except people will be serving you! I have not utilized this area yet but I plan to soon. There is also plenty of seating on the outdoor patio where you can enjoy your game there as well. Yay Cheyenne.

So let me start by saying that I don't watch sports... so me leaving a review of a Sports Bar is like a vegetarian leaving a review of a Steak House.
In an effort to be fair, I'd usually just keep this kind of review to myself but I think there are some important things to note about Cheyenne...
First, the server and Manager were all smiles, and very friendly! The two stars are for them! I'm still not sure if that's the norm in the South, but at home it's a 50/50 crap-shoot, so I'm enjoying it!
Second, it's big, with full facilities! Pinball, pool, and a huge menu that everyone seemed to be enjoying. I'm starting to realize that a lot of bars here are set up this way,! so again, I'm not quite sure if that's anything special to mention?
What may interest those of you with children, is that there was a whole herd of them running around! Children in bars always scare the crap out of me, because I have this image of a drunken ass falling on one, but I'll leave that up to you're discretion. I don't have all the details, but at least up until a certain time, (I heard someone mention a 7pm cutoff) you can have a early beer with your toddler, which is so heart warming I'm beside myself!
There are so many TVs in here that when a commercial comes on you feel like you're in the brainwashing scene from Clockwork Orange!

Cheyenne is exactly what you'd expect it to be: a sprawling sports bar decked out head to toe with flat screens, sports banners, and random beer paraphernalia. The menu was lengthy, chock-a-block full of American eats like burgers, salads, pizza, and sandwiches. Again, it's nothing truly inventive, but the burger was solid and I really would have enjoyed if I had bought it on special.
Service was nice and very attentive and didn't seem too peeved that I was drinking just water, due to be overserved the night prior. I expected this place to be absolutely packed for trivia, but that was not the case. Tuesday night is pop culture, but it didn't seem like too much current pop culture. Thursday night is general knowledge, and both nights are coordinated by the folks at the Team Trivia behemoth. Questions were pretty easy and it's nice that they give you a gift card that's valid at several various Atlanta bars. The pace of the trivia was a bit slow but I have a feeling that's just kind of the way things work down here.
All in all, a good spot to stop in if you're in the area or in need of a good cheap beer and a television screen the size of a house.

I went here once late night with some fellow Yelpers. I noticed a server was wearing a "I love Buffalo Bills football" t-shirt and I struck up a conversation with her. To my surprise and excitement, I learned Cheyenne Grille is home to the Bills Backers Atlanta and well, say no more, I've been coming here for the last four Sundays.
On my original visit here, we sat outside and the service was good. I ordered the turkey reuben with tavern fries. The sandwich was tasty and the fries were thin and crisp. Good bar food for sure.
On my subsequent visits, I have been sitting inside at the bar. I have to say that my experience with service on game day is less than favorable. The three bartenders are seemingly overwhelmed with tending the bar and waiting on the tables in the bar area. It can take a few minutes to get a drink and last week we ordered food and after waiting 20 minutes, questioned the bartender and he said "they lost the ticket". So, they put the order in again. When when he brought the burger and fries I asked about my onion rings and apparently, he didn't hear me order them. Not a big deal as I wasn't going anywhere and I must say, the beer-battered rings were worth the wait. They were hot and crisp and the dipping sauce was a perfect pairing.
I'm giving Cheyenne one extra star than I think they truly deserve because they are the home of the Bills. Go Buffalo!

The space was much bigger than I had anticipated.
One huge negative is that I got zero cell phone signal inside
A lot of tvs and most were easily viewable
I got the burger, which was average. The fries were pretty good.
They also accommodated our large group pretty well.
All in all, a pretty good sports bar
Agh, they took away the teriyaki wings so you can't get the lemon-yaki anymore either. Such is life. Still going here for trivia. I think I've sponsored one of their plasmas by now.
Always good for a cheap beer.

I just like this place! It's a good place to watch games and the food is totally "sports-bar-solid" in the best way. When you want a laid-back and relaxed environment, particularly with a group of friends, this is a good spot.
They've updated the menu pretty recently as other reviewers have noted. The fries are thinner and better than they used to be. The beef "weck" sandwich (their version of a french dip) is yum yum yum. Their chicken sandwiches are still really good- and you can order them basically like you would any type of burger, with cheese, bacon, etc. I'm not a big hot dog fan but friends of mine who are really like theirs and say they are generously sized and quite tasty with good buns! The chicken fingers and nachos are also highly recommended, and I can vouch for both!
They have a good beer selection (and they serve my favorite cider, Strongbow) plus a full bar. Service is friendly and efficient and they often have drink specials.
There are lots of TVs, it's a good atmosphere (even if you bring the kids along) and just one of those spots you'll be glad you spent an afternoon or evening in!

Serious burger specials during lunch on certain days. I mean, seriously, five bucks for a burger? Actually, let me correct that - five bucks for a really good burger.
I've only been for lunch but it does indeed seem to be prime 'watch sporty stuff' on TV kind of place. Strangely tucked away near things like a luggage store and also the cocktail hour store, they also have a huge patio that would make an awesome lunch or weekend beer drinkin' place to park yourself for an hour or three.

Beef on weck here is FAIL. Think: Arby's (but not quite as good). So far the only real beef on weck in Atlanta seems to be at Galla's Pizza. The search continues...
Woohoo for trivia!
The things to get here are wings and burgers. The wings were good - we got honey bbq and anchor bar medium. Honey bbq was nice - not to sweet or syrupy. Now normally, most things at medium make my mouth go "aaahhhhh!", but it's good here and so no one gets to see that face. It's got a kick but not one that sits and brews on the tongue. There was also that plate of neon orange nachos. The chips were actually ok though I'm scared that I may be glowing tonight.
The bathroom is interesting cause the toilet paper dispenser is automatic, like the paper towel dispenser. I know it's usually this way because we want to avoid germs. But couldn't they have made the door automatic as well? Cause I null and voided all the cleaniness when I had to open the door!

Burgers and Wings folks .... don't stray from that. Burgers and Wings. I repeat, Burgers and Wings.
I like the food at CG and the sports scene is pretty good as well. They will always try to get your game on if it's not already. Service is pretty typical for a pub/grub type place. I sit at the bar most often and they are generally on top of things.
The Oriental Wings and Lemon Pepper wings are great. The wings are huge. Burgers are very good as well.

This place disappoints me. They have such huge potential, but just don't live up to it. They've got a great space, they've got tvs everywhere, a great patio, beer options, keno. I mean what else could you ask for in a sports bar right? Better food, I mean the last few times I've eaten here, I feel like they're taking my meal out of the freezer and throwing in the microwave. Stingy on the fries. They've got a great staff, people are always coming and checking on you. The drinking is the best, just be careful with the food.
If you are looking for a large space to watch some games this is definitely a great spot to try. Service was good ( not so much quick-but we had a large group of yelpers!) Chicken fingers coated in wing sauce was good enough to coat the tummy after a night of boozing. And it was surprisingly not packed the night we went in for trivia, hmm... just betters your chances for winning!

Bar food with a lively atmosphere! Big Tvs, good enough food. Its just right for a game and beer! If you want to watch, not listen to the game and eat pretty good bar food it is not a waste of food!
This place is a love hate relationship with me... Yes, those demon spawns running around is a nightmare. They remind me of walking around your house in the dark and stubbing your toe on some blunt object. The good part of it is that they usually leave early enough so I can enjoy watching some games and grubbing.
Ah, the grub, I have been eating anywhere that has "Buffalo" wings...but Cheyenne is the only place that uses Anchor Bar (Buffalo) sauces and turns out maybe the best wings in Atl. The wings are medium size so they fry up just right, crispy yet juicy inside. I know everyone loves Taco Mac's wings but I must stand by Cheyenne's wings. Just don't get them on sundays when they have all u can eat wings...mostly precooked and reheated and gets dried up like a turd in the summer heat. The burgers are not too shabby either....me thinks better than Vortex. On mondays the burgers are $5, the Hoff would have a field day. The rest of the menu is forgettable. Stick to the things that have a high turnover.
Oh yeah...rock out with your dollar bills out...photo hunt rocks!

I'd been craving a burger for a very long while. I hit a milestone on my diet so I decided to reward myself for being so good. A friend had told me that Cheyenne Grill had his favorite burger in Atlanta. As luck would have it, I was on assignment close to the restaurant. So, I popped in for an early lunch on Friday. The place is your basic sports bar with plenty of sports porn for the fanatic.
I went straight to the extensive burger menu and selected the burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato and sharp cheddar. I opted for their homemade potato chips instead of fries. The place got full very quickly and my waitress (and the kitchen) got overwhelmed. It probably took me 30 minutes to get my burger, but I found plenty of entertainment in watching a handful of barflies drinking way too early in the morning.
When my burger finally came, it looked scrumptious but my chips were missing--they'd given me fries by mistake. My waitress, who was very sweet, quickly remedied the situation and I tucked into my lunch. The burgers have hand-formed patties that average over a half a pound of certified Angus beef. The meat was cooked to my specifications and had a nice smoky flavor imparted from the grill. Definitely not a fast food burger. My only complaint would be the bun. It fell apart easily and I ended up eating most of my meal with a fork and knife. It was still pretty good. The chips, however, were stellar. Thick, long and very crisp without a drop of oil. The dipping sauce was kind of bland, but the chips didn't need it.
Verdict: Not the best restaurant burger in Atlanta, but still a solid choice if you are in the area. The chips are worth the trip alone. There are all-you-can-eat wings on Sundays. For what it is worth, the restaurant did recognize how long I had waited (I didn't say a word or indicate any distress) and tried to comp my meal. I paid anyway. But, it was nice that they did realize that the service was off on this particular day. I would go back and try another burger.

I have come to the conclusion this is the place anyone who has children and still lives in Buckhead or Midtown heads on Friday nights. Seriously, kids running around everywhere.
The food was ok. I hear its half-price after 11pm during the week if you are up for some late-night drinks and food.
If you want to get together for drinks, watch some sports, or play trivia or poker (on various nights) this isn't a bad place. Just be forewarned about Friday evenings.

This is the happening place to be on a Monday night, if you are 70 or older.
I was the first to arrive of our little clique and sat in awe, looking around the restaurant. I could not believe the number of elderly that continued to file pass my table. At first I thought I might be getting "punk'd", but then I realized that Adam R. had picked this place and well, suddenly it all made sense.
We all teased him about it, but he swore this was an anomaly. So, I asked our server about it and he confirmed that it was like this every Monday, on account of the $5 burger special. Hmmm, same reason we were here and on a serious note, I thought it was great that these people were actually getting out of the house for an evening of socializing.
The menu has a number of different types of burgers and sides to choose from and I ordered the Hickory Cheddar Burger and fries, which was quite delicious. The best part being that they cook the burgers to order. I went with bunless, medium-rare and it came with just the right amount of BBQ sauce and grilled onions topped with melted cheddar. The burger was large and I could not finish it, nor the fries. Definitely a great deal for only $5.
One disappointment was the homemade potato chips with Blue Cheese dressing. The chips were flavorless and I felt like I was biting into a wood chip. I would suggest skipping this appetizer.
Other than the chips, it was good food, good service and a good time. Oh, and I highly recommend coming here on a Monday night, if you are in the market for a Sugar Daddy/Mama or are just looking for Adam R.

I enjoy going to the place on Saturdays to watch the game. The University of Alabama Atlanta Alumni chapter watches all the games here. The specials are forever changing. Yesterday we caught two burgers and a beer pitcher for $20. Some Thursdays are all you can eat wings for a fixed price. I used to come here during my college days and play Texas Hold'em. This place is a keeper. Make sure you sign up for your metrotainment loyalty card.

A very low key spot to watch a game or have a good burger. Plenty of plasma screens to choose from with ample sight lines so you can watch sports from almost any seat. The food is better than the average sports bar, too. Great fries, and the blue cheese burger was big and juicy.
Cheyenne Grill is a big hangout for UNC alumni to watch football and basketball games. I wouldn't show up with a Duke shirt on game day...

Some friends and I met up here last night for football and drinks, and while the prices were fine, the service was lacking in the beginning. We'd wait for a little too long. We were given free chips and queso to make up for it though, and things got a lot better after that. The prices for drinks I thought were pretty good, however I felt like the food was kind of lacking. Great place to watch a game though.

We go to watch Alabama Football with the alumni on Saturday. Lots of TV's, Good food (they changed the menu since last year) and a big selection of beer and liqour. Indoor and Outdoor seating, service is a bit slow, but good when they finally get around to you. All age groups on Saturday from infants to 60+ crowd. Roll Tide!

We've been here for a few trivia nights. They draw a pretty good crowd, and I like that you can sit inside or outside to play. They also tend to have good beer specials, especially for this part of town- last time it was $2 Dos Equis drafts. But I wouldn't come here specifically to eat (the buffalo wings were not good at all), or to watch a game (a severe lack of HDTVs).
Go for the $5 burger on Monday nights, but other than that, there are few reasons to dine here. Every other menu item is fried or greasy. And not in a good way. The selection makes me want to eat chicken fingers and sweet potato fries. It's evil.
