Not bad. Had Rockfish, which was deep fried, with corn meal. good beer selection. Wish it was little less fast food looking inside. Glad they had CNN and MSNBC and NOT some Fox News channel blaring. Glad I am in Maryland ! Waitress was super cute and nice. For the road it's excellent.

Prime rib sandwich was pretty good but only has cheese on it.  Next time i will see if they can put lettuce and tomato on it. I ordered French fries they were not very good at all not worth $2,29,  very busy I had to wait a long time for a table.  Because it was so busy I had a crowd of people standing right next to my booth, they were talking very loud.  I had to ask them to move over so when I  went to leave I had to ask them to move over.

I'm reviewing this only based on the salad I had.  I give it 3 stars because the people were friendly, but my salad was mostly iceberg lettuce, which I CANNOT stand.  I recently moved to Calvert from CA and I'm having a hard time finding really fresh, healthy food.  I'm sure the sandwiches are better.

Food was 3 star, service was 4 star. Was headed to North Beach and thought we would stop by and pick up a sandwich. Nice ambiance and the staff were very friendly. Lots of young people and all of them are very polite. It's nice to see for us older folk (I'm 32).

Ordered the cheesesteak. Steak was pretty tender and their was a good amount of meat. A little pricier than what I expected but not a big deal. They offered to make the sandwich on any of their breads, which was pretty cool. The issue was the sandwich was pretty bland. Didn't realize it until we got to the beach, then grabbed some salt and pepper from a local place and the sandwich was much better.

I'm guessing if I go there again, I'll bump this place up a star.

A real gem for this area!  I've visited multiple times and enjoyed everything I've ordered including the sweet potato fries, crab cake sandwich, chicken, broccoli (some of the best you'll ever eat!), and turkey melt.  Like others have said, the staff is very friendly and helpful.  It's a little on the pricey side for having to order at a register, but in the end, I leave happier because I'm able to get up and refill my drink myself.

The reason I don't give it 5 stars?  I hesitate to go there when I know it'll be too crowded and hard to get a seat.  It's not always fun to share a 2 person table with your 4 person family or circling tables like vultures hoping someone will stand up.  I really wish they'd expand!  But, I guess if this is your biggest problem, you're doing a-ok.

Great little place in Owings, love the food and the staff is always friendly and helpful.  The recent expansion has also opened up a nice amount of seating - my only suggestion would be that they have one or two more child seats available for use.  This is after all a place frequented by families with children and on more than one occasion there isn't a seat available for my 10 month old.

I do have to say that my husband and I always remark that we don't know where the owner finds his employees (all fairly young) but they are all so friendly and helpful we are blown away everytime we're there!

So happy to see a place like this in Calvert!

    Keep up the great job!

Wow, what a unique concept.   Only in the area for the day so we will have to wait until our next visit to try their other offerings.

We had the Crab Cake Sandwich and the Grilled Tuna.  Excellent!!  I must say that the tuna I ordered medium was cooked to perfection which is hard to do with fish.  The fresh chutney gave the tuna an extra kick that set it apart from other tuna dishes I've had.  You get the feel of a fast food place because of the counter you order at, but the menu, food and service quality sets them far apart from fast food or most full service restaurants for that matter.

Thank you for such an enjoyable dinning experience and hoping for your continued success.

I've vistied Chesapeake Grille a hand full of times now and never fail to be impressed.  From the service to food I must say for a local joint it doesn't get much better.

The second we walked in the door we were greeted by a friendly smile & a hello.  I was having a tough time deciding what I wanted for dinner this visit because I have so many favorites.  We decided to start out with the Bay Poppers.  They came out pipping hot with a side of Old Bay ranch.  They were perfectly crisp and a great start to the meal.  I ended up ordering a steak & cheese and my boyfriend ordered their version of fish & chips.  My sub was piled high with yummy steak and the fresh roll was to die for!  I rank their steak & chesse better than the one I had at Pat's in Philly!  The fish & chips was made with fresh rock fish and was battered to perfection.  The fries were sprinkled in Old Bay and were just down right addicting.  I loved the fact I could also have a nice glass of local wine with my meal.

Aside from the YUMMY food I cannot get over the friendly service.  I have had the same young blonde lady take my order the last few times I've been by.  She has been so friendly I feel I have to point it out.  Especially because the people who take your order are the same people who bring out your food, check on your meal and clear your plates and they do not accept tips. Any tips left on tables are donated to charity. It is very rare to find such outstanding customer service when the person providing it is getting no extra incentive.  I hope if the managers of Chesapeake Grille read this they realize what an amazing employee they have.  Her upbeat personality alone keeps me coming back.

Interested in learning about their daily specials?  Check them out on facebook. They are always coming up with new, creative specials.

Hats off to everyone at Chesapeake Grille! The food is great! The service is great! You've found yourselves a lifelong customer.

Superb! I only get one thing on the menu there which is the Chesapeake Salad with Salmon. That's all I need to try because it is so fantastic I would be disappointed to leave there without it. I carry the menu around with me so I can pick up the ingredients to make the Salmon Chesapeake Salad at home on my own but somehow it just never tastes the same. The Chesapeake Grille is a regular haunt in Southern Maryland for this Realtor on the Run.

I've been to this store several times, I was pleased the first time enough to invite my friends and family from Baltimore to join us there. However, today I was there and they had issues with the A/C and the entire back half of the restaurant was miserably HOT! The bathroom was like a sauna.. I would have selected another seat when we came in although many of the tables had not been cleaned. We did go on a very hot day, but I believe they should have had additional fans or A/C units to accommodate all guests.  Also, they could have had extra staff on hand to make sure tables in areas that were more comfortable were cleaned sooner.
The food was still great, even the second time around as I was very sick and had to experience the sauna like bathroom, as I throw up my entire meal..
As I explained to the cashier that I was uncomfortable and would like to know if they could turn up the air a little, she explained to me that the A/C unit would not keep up with the additional space.. They should have definitely thought of that as they were rebuilding. They had no additional vents in the restroom to keep it at least moderately comfortable..
The comment from the cashier also commented that she was surprised that we were sitting there.. I know that several other people commented on the heat and were able to move, so I'm guessing that management knows that this is an issue.

I'm willing to go back, but I think I'll wait til the fall when it cools off...

Keep it simple is the Theme of this terrific deli & grille.  Food is fab, staff is great and attentive.  There is a big sign that requires you to read it twice.  "Please, no tipping"!!!  Pay your employees what they are worth and you get a great business such as this.  The specials are off the hook fantastic!!  If I had three thumbs, they would be up!

I have been there several times for lunch and very satisfying both times. Inventive menu, friendly service. Fills up fast so get there early for lunch. Could use some chopped hot cherry peppers for my sandwich.

One of my favorite places for lunch (try the Chesapeake Salad) or dinner with my all time favorite grilled salmon and steamed broccoli. Hard to eat your vegetables? Not here! People like the broccoli so much they order it with a sandwich! Happy people, great service. You will not believe how good the food is! It is not the same old thing and the meats and fish are cooked just right.

I sort of hate to let people know about this new restaurant in Dunkirk.  It's small, if too many people find out, I'll have to wait in line!  I've been here a few times since it opened.  Nice, cute restaurant.  You order at the counter and find a seat.  The staff deliver your food to your table when its ready.  The cost of the food is a little higher than other places in town, but they have a no tipping policy, so the cost evens out.  The food is great!  Everything I've tried so far is really fresh.  The cheeseburgers are yummy and served with bay fries.  The steak and cheese is great.  The fried green beans are delish.  Can't wait to go back to try one of the salads.  The place is small and they don't have a lot of tables.  I can tell that people are staring to find out about it because it's more crowded each time I go.  I would love to see them expand and take over one of the empty buildings at the new shopping center.  Way to go Chesapeake Grille and Deli!
