$1 gains you access to the 1/5 mile long pier. Technically, the place is a fishing pier, but tourists love it because they get to go out onto the ocean itself, and catch a glimpse of dolphins, jellyfish and some larger fish.
There are bulletin boards where you can see some of the largest catches on record, and even a small gift shop at the front for people who want a souvenir from every last place they go to...like me. :P
Overall, you probably won't spend too much time here, but it is nice just to say that you've been out on it. And for a dollar, it's worth it.
