I texted my friend to see if he could recommend a good place to grab a beer and a burger-at first he said My Brother's Bar, but having been there recently and having not been too impressed, I asked what else he gots.
He said the 2 magic words: Cherry Cricket. I have heard great things about this place so I was eager to check it out. My husband and I have just found and bought THE truck we have been looking for and thought that beers and burgers would be the appropriate way to celebrate this momentous occasion.
It was Saturday night and the Cricket was packed. Once inside, I was amazed to find how big the seating area actually is, although they had a fairly small, crowded bar with only one bartender. We put our names on the list and enjoyed one of the many beers they have on tap.
Finally our buzzer went off and we got a cute little booth in the back room, facing the mall. We were super set on burgers so it was hard to look at the many of the [tantalizing] other items they had listed on the menu.
I love that they let you build your own burger just how you like it-although it can turn out to be one pricey burger! Oh well-it's WORTH it!
I had the turkey burger with smoked cheddar, grilled onions and dijon. My hubby got the Cricket with green chili strips, sour cream, bacon and hot jack. We also ordered a basket of their generously seasoned fries. The fries could have been a touch warmer, but that didn't stop them from being delightfully delicious! YUMMY!
I was planning on being "good" and only eating half of my burger, saving the other half for a later snack, but (and I blame this on the Cricket!) it was so tasty that I simply was weak against my will power to resist. I am still digesting that meal from last night, but I will gladly put myself through that any 'ole time!

I went there for the second time in two weeks tonight.  The first time, I thought it was a fluke.  I thought I was just WAY too hungry to judge it fairly.  Maybe the beer was served at a perfect temperature to trick my taste buds.

Nope.

The food here rocks.  I had the regular Cricket Burger the first time and then the BBQ this time and both were amazing.  I think it's how they cook the meat - perfect.  Not only that, the toppings are fresh and the sides are unbeatable.  They have a fries/rings side that is enough for two and are crispy and filled with flavor.

Not only that, but there are TV's-a-plenty and some great beers on tap, always with something local on special.

The only part about this place that sucks is finding parking during the busy hours.  They don't have private parking, so you must find something on the street or in a parking garage.

Totally worth it.  Two thumbs up.

Sometimes a voice in your head says "I'm craving a burger.  Go git me a damn burger!"  The problem is finding a legitimate burger.  As far as the Denver area goes, my #1 is by far the City Grille.  I was once went so far as to say "the City Grille burger might be the best burger I've ever eaten in my life."  As I reflect, I still think I stand by that statement.

But the Cherry Cricket also has a money burger.  They're all cooked on the rare side, and I still went with medium rare (even after the server suggested medium to my friend).  The sesame seed bun was fluffy, the burger was juicy and well seasoned, the fries were crispy and perfect.  Straight red, white, and blue.

As far as everything else goes, it's everything you would expect out of a solid sports bar & grill.  Lots of beer selection on tap.  Good crowd.  Dart boards, pool tables, lots of TV's, and very reasonably priced.

I'll head back at some point.

Cherry Cricket's Green chili and white cheddar burger was listed as one of the top 100 must eats in Denver, so I gave it a shot:

Rating: 6

The Skinny: I've often said that The Cherry Cricket is the Honda Civic of the Denver burger scene.  It's never gonna wow you, but it also won't let you down either.  Exhibit A: The white cheddar and green chili burger.  Toppings were fairly flavorless, but once again, the excellent meat redeems it.  You always leave thinking, "that was good... not great, but pretty good"

I've got a picture of it up on the blog if you want to see what it looks like

The Cherry Cricket feels like it should be somewhere else entirely.  I'd done some Yelp photo recon before heading out and I did not expect to see a BCBG, Hermes and Sak's Fifth within an earshot of this place.  The restaurant is an island in the middle of a yuppie ocean.

After parking on the street (which you can pay for with cash or credit), I rushed to the Cricket front door to escape the upscale suburbia.  The entry area was fairly large and the interior is classic pub/bar style.  We were seated off in a side room which made the eating experience more cozy, comfortable and personally preferable.

Since I was in Coor's country, I opted for some Blue Moon to start off with.  The options were numerous but I was game to be creative on my visit.  I decided on the Cricket Burger ($6.25, 1/2 lb) with cheddar, bacon and bbq sauce.  The burger patty was fine and the accompaniments were great.

The burger, handful of Blue Moon pints plus the non-fussy pub service amounted to be a superb experience.  I was also fortunate to stop in before 5pm so the Cricket wasn't so busy.

So my special lady friend and I decided to Retry  this burger joint out after not having the greatest burger experience about a year ago.
The previous and initial experience was guided by some young kid with a backwards hat on. He could have used suspenders or a belt to hold his jeans above his butt. Seriously.  I was trying to eat my rare burger that I ordered Med. WELL. It was bleeding all over my  fries and now soggy bun.  I ate seriously the outer edges.  I'm in the industry and will just not accept that... But apparantly I did because during our 2nd venture I ordered from a very respectable server.
Once again MED WELL....this time Med Rare.  When I order a burger I don't expect to have to send it back....a steak is different.
Go here on Sunday if you'd like to feel like you are in an infant's nursery just before nap time.  Seriously...I thought they were also running a daycare center with all the crying and screaming and whining......Not Again.  Some people think these burgers are the best in Denver. Not saying much. Perhaps they are great when cooked to the TEMP of MY LIKING.  Yet the bun is greasier than the fries.
Not going back.

Disappointing. Overpriced and way too built up. The burgers are mediocre at best. I got mine with mushrooms and avocado. While the mushrooms were great (thick and juicy) and the flavors went together well (my choice though, not theirs), I only got two tiny slivers of avocado and that alone  cost $1.50. I could get one and a half whole avocados for that price. The 1/4 burger was thin and average tasting. Wish there was a 1/3 lb. option.

Atmosphere is dark and dreary. Service was mediocre. The food wasn't terrible, but it's definitely overrated. I am spoiled by the Dark Horse in Boulder. Now that's a burger.

What is NOT to love about the Cricket???

I've been coming here since well, I was maybe 4 years old and everytime I leave, I'm happy.

More so now that I'm not coming with my parents anymore and I'm over 21.

Hands down, the best burger found on the front range and a beer menu (as us Coloradans LOVE our beer) that will leave you speechless - most likely because your mouth will be sucked around a pint glass the whole time.

A real Denver icon and my favorite brew house for whenever I get back home to visit.

PS - You know it's good when you sit next to John Elway at the bar and drink beer :)

Let's be clear, this restaurant is more bar than restaurant. The inside is pretty crummy with lots of cheap beer placards and banners hanging around. There are lots of TVs around the joint so catching the game should be no problem at all. You will be carded upon entering here. On the weekends there can be a bit of wait for a table to eat at. The sports bar like atmosphere seems to be at maximum capacity during a game. If that is not your thing then best visit on a non-game night.

They serve pretty standard fare with pretty much everything being deep fried. The burgers are cooked to order but they tend to under cook the beef but not so much that you will want to send it back to the kitchen. The burgers are well made. The only other standout on the menu is the mac and cheese "nuggets" they serve.

Loud, not very clean interior, overly greasy offerings bring the rating down here.

The girl next door...and she can cook!
Not gorgeous, but I love the look. She's homey and comforting. I can gaze into her eyes all day. What's not to love? Can you smell her  kitchen? Five minutes and you may not notice but you're not so tight anymore. Doesn't matter how you look or what you wear, she just likes that you're there.
Ignore the neighborhood and give her the respect she deserves. We're regular people- right?. We love burgers- tasty, juicy, toasty buns, mama makes it fer ya, sloppy burgers. But we can only come home on weekends to see her and that's a good thing. Cause we get to try a different position- er, topping combo every time we can and still feel the fuzzy love. I can't deny that I love her and her hot kitchen.
I show her off to my family and friends and I'm proud of her.
Uh....., the food....uh, Nice! Comfort mood- comfort food. I can't keep my hands off the Cricket Burger. Favorite- bacon, guac and jalapenos.   on toasty, buttery buns. For me, fries are a given- soft and succulent. A cup or bowl of green chili is an absolute and the slaw now and then. Wash it down with your second or third favorite beer and save room for a fourth- no rush. Can't find much of any of that in this neighborhood.
Don't have to ring the doorbell. She knows you're coming and she's ready and waiting. Just walk in.

I'm always quite fond of "build your own burger" kind of places. They always have the most delectably bizzare and interesting toppings.

I wanted BBQ, and onions, and hot stuff, etc. and built it with the blackened seasoning...

Amazing! I was happy, I mean who wouldn't be? we also sat outside, which is better than inside IMO, unless you are into sitting in a very busy sports bar setting, in which case inside is definately for you. However viewing the Cherry Creek setting was beautiful!

Really good burgers, all kinds of toppings, fries, french fries, even steak fries, and the onion rings are great!

Came here with a group of friends late afternoon on Sunday, and they have this great special of a 1/2 pound burger with either fries or onion rings for $6.95. Burger is perfectly cooked, they actually bring it the way you ask them and it comes like that.

I really like this place but I can't eat it all the time, its almost too greasy for me, but the taste is amazing! It's a straight forward good burger joint.

I don't make it to Denver as often as I would like, but each time I'm sure to make it to the Cherry Cricket.  It's become trendy, it seems, over the last few years, but the food is still really great and so are the brews.

Perhaps I'm one of those tourist-type-people the locals hate.....  eeeek.

Great spot. Love it!

Stop 3 in the 2nd Annual Ice Cream - Ice Cream - Burger Tour.
I hadn't planned on the cricket being the final stop as my past 2 yelp events ended here, but the place I planned for us to all go was closed. So after a drink we headed here and once again was not disappointed.
I'm going to sound like a broken record now- but man oh man, I love the burgers & onion rings here.
I'm going to stop now. You can read my other Cricket reviews for more details.

Delish! The best burger you will find in all of Denver. Hard to find unless you know a local or have done your research, so you know most of your fellow diners are also Denverites. Strange to find the "dive bar" vibe in Cherry Creek, but a welcome change of scenery after a day of shopping! Let your server suggest a good combo too! I tried the cream cheese, jalapeno, bacon combo at the suggestion of mine and fell in love!

So when I get  a phone call and get asked 'wanna go to lunch' the answer is almost always yes.  I can tell you from now on if the question is 'wanna go to lunch at Cherry Cricket' the answer will always be hell yes!

Went today with Jenn and her kids.  She had her eyes on the the burger I was eyeing the nachos.  See I've been craving nachos for weeks and either haven't been someplace where they were or couldn't decide where to go.  So bring me some 'Messy Nachos" and yeah throw that chicken on too (that makes it healthy you know)!

The nachos were fantastic.  Just enough beans, cheese, and chicken for each and well they went perfectly with my $2 beer.  YUM.

As for the atmosphere.  We sat on the back patio which was nice with just a few tables and so little bits of chitter chatter but quiet enough to carry on conversation.  The inside was dark and cool, if it were any hotter it would've been a nice place to hide in a corner from the heat.

The nachos were great but I'm going to have to go back and get a burger, now.  Well not, okay maybe, right now.  That was lunch and it's almost dinner time you know!

Alright people!!!  If you want the best burgers in Denver, including turkey burgers, this is your SPOT...

Now, this place isn't for the faint of heart.  If you don't like crowds, loudness or PBR, you may not want to join me here.  Yep, I said it PBR baby and that stands for Pabst Blue Ribbon!

While there is a lot of seating, this place is always packed and easily gets congested.  There's a place for darts, pin-ball, pool and a juke box of your and everyone else's favorites..

Fellas, there are always HAWT women there and women you will always have your choice of the neighborhood 1-pack crew available to ya...

Go and enjoy, just expect to be in the midst of "where it goes down"!!!

The reason it's not a 5-star rating is much like every place in Cherry Creek; parking can be a pain...

My buddy Ben and I started a burger hunt about a year ago.  We vowed never to go to the same place twice (which lasted about a week before that idea folded) and that we would always spilt the check so that no one could bitch when one of liked it and one of us didn't.

Both Ben and I agreed that the burgers here were OK.  I guess I just don't get what all the fuss is about.  It was an OK burger but I didn't outweigh the weight and the crowd.  It wasn't really anything but average.  They cooked it right, put on the right toppings and I just found the patty to be pretty bland.

I'll be first to admit that I'm not a Cherry Creeker,  I don't dig the crowd a whole lot and I generally avoid the area.  But I can eat without prejudice and can honestly say that there are a number (large number) of places I would run to for a burger before the CC.

That being said, I did rather enjoy the hot wings.  A little pricey for my taste but they were big, crispy and done right.

Mmmm. Burger.
This place..is awesome! I love the fact that it exists in the heart of cherry creek..so out of place, yet so delicious. It's funny to watch the prissy cherrycreekers trying hard to keep from getting grease on their 300 dollar shirts. But anyway, I digress. The first time I went here, we had to wait 40 minutes to get a table. I'm not sure it was worth it. The burgers and fries were good..but not waiting 40 minutes good. Today however, the lady and I went here for lunch, got right in, and got a seat on the patio. Today, it was definitely worth it! Mouth-watering deliciousness cooked just so, served up with some cheap beers..the way god intended it to be.

Long before Man vs Food, we have been coming here to soak up beer, inhale some wings and get our burger on.

What is it about us Denverites? We need to have heat in our food and the 1/4 pound burger with jalapeno cream cheese does not disappoint (the big beef  burgers are half a pound and the turkey, a third).

The burgers are all ala carte people, so be prepared to slap down a buck for a slice of cream cheese and seventy-five cents for tiny plastic ramekin of chopped jalapeno, and up to $1.25 for herbed cream cheese and avocado. This is Cherry Creek after all. Oh, and $4.25 for a basket of descent basket of onion rings.

Parking in Cherry Creek sucks big time, the crowds can be out the door and the drunken factor with the scary cougars and college crowd mix can sometimes be too much after dark. Don't come here expecting a nice romantic evening, this a worthy dive bar set in the middle of one of the toniest neighborhoods in Denver. Do you speak Cherry Creek? Barf.

Sit on the patio in the front and watch the people try to parallel park. Seriously, it is a scream! Add a canned PBR and it doesn't get much better.

I've been here a few times. The place is always busy with a good atmosphere.  The staff is very friendly and helpful. I've had a burger and also had wings. Considering I don't eat red meat that often anymore I'd say this was a great burger. It's advertised as a 1/2 pound. It was real tasty and you can add whatever you like. although next time I go back I'd like to try the jalapeno and cream cheese burger. Everyone keeps saying it's the best.  They have a great selection of beers also.

I love the Cricket for what it is.  An unpretentious joint that caters to patrons from all walks of life.  Sure it has expanded a little, but it hasn't lost it's charm.
There was a long line when we arrived there for a weekend lunch. Went and sat in the shade until our beeper went off.  20 minutes later, our table for four was ready.
I'm a sucker for good artichoke dip and I really love the Cricket's.  This time I also ordered their cream of tomato soup.  It was delicious but the bowl was huge.  I actually wound up taking half home. And it goes without saying that the burgers are good.
I like the fact that no matter how crowded it gets, the service is still attentive, fast and friendly.

Hmmm - well, I drank the koolaide and I didn't hate it but I didn't ask for seconds.  This is review 140 something and I freely admit that I just don't get it.  People must be getting off on the scene because the food is just not that special.  I make a far superior burger at home.  The other offerings are pretty mundane.  We certainly are not doing anything wildly creative or unique here - wings, frings, artichoke dip, guac, chips and salsa - ho hum.  And, those snackies you're noshing on ain't cheap - many in the $9 range.

So, it's a burger for Christ's sake but at $7+ for a bun and burger and some lettuce and tomato, it sure as hell should be one of the best in town.  Everything is an add on so by the time you add a few toppings and fries you're well over $10 or pushing $15.  So with some brewskis, tax and tip, you're easily looking at $20+ per.  I'm going to stand in line for an hour for this, umm - no.

Go to Oliver's and get some good ground chuck sprinkle on a little garlic powder, black pepper and Worcestershire, throw it on the grill and your good to go.  Smack it on a good onion roll (toasted on the grill), garnish as you wish and serve with some store bought sides (because pretty much all of the Cherry Cricket's are) and you'll have better meal at considerable savings and not have to fight the parking and the "scene" which is Cherry Creek North.

i actually want to give this place about 3.5 stars. In between A ok and i'm a fan. But i can't give more stars cause i'm biassed to " In N out Burgers and MVP Grill"

i ordered the little cricket 1/4 lb burger.. with grilled bermuda onion, sauted mushroom, provolone, and i thought i ordered jalapeno.. but it ended with everything but that..

the bun was buttery and the burger was juicy... the whole burger was dripping in grease...  i added the habanero sauce they have at the table... that sauce was good.. considering i didnt get the "heat" that i ordered...

We sat outside... and the denver nice weather.. was complimenting our burger afternoon lunch.

It is beyond me why anyone would come here and order anything besides a burger. Come on people, that's what they're known for!!!

E watched a Food Network show involving this place and just had to come check it out, and since it was practically lunchtime and our first-pick restaurant (Snooze) was slammed, we decided to make the quick jaunt to Cherry Creek. We parked his beat-up Nissan truck in between some BMWs and Benzes and made sure to hunt down the ridiculous little pay kiosk nearby so we wouldn't get a parking ticket from the parking enforcement jerks. And then we had a delicious lunch.

At the Cricket, you can build your own burgers. The toppings are reasonably priced, but my only complaint was that the base burger- just the patty with lettuce and tomato on the side-  is expensive! A 1/2 lb burger is almost $7, and a 1/4 lb is about $4.50. For a plain burger!!!!! Now that I have complained, I must say it was a damn good burger. I got the 1/4 lb and added on Swiss cheese and bacon and Thousand Island dressing. E got the 1/2 lb and went for the heat with green chile strips, pepperjack, bacon, and a spicy black rub. His bun was a standard sesame one, but mine came on a lovely buttery brioche bun. It made him a little jealous :) We also got a basket of frings (fries and onion rings)- those were good too.

People watching was moderately good, but it was a lot of men in groups of two having "power lunches" or whatever you call them. It was very busy for a Thursday afternoon at around 11:30, and I would have loved to sit on the patio, but there was a wait for those seats. Sad day :(

A good experience, but I can't say when I'l be back. One star off is for the incredibly uninspiring interior. Even for a neighborhood bar, it is sadly dismal and lacking. The other star is for prices. All I have to say is that when we got the bill, I let E pay. I didn't even want to look and see what an atrocious amount we payed for so little (albeit extremely delicious) food. We didn't even have beer!

I have wanted to come here for the longest time but every time i drove by, the crappy parking discouraged me from stopping. Finally I was able to get a parking spot in the back of the building which was free because you can get your parking validated by this nice older lady giving out tickets.

I ordered my burger with guacamole and green chillies because they only had fresh jalapenos and not the pickled ones that i like. Despite the guacamole being pretty bland and the green chili strips not helping either, it was damn good. I ordered mine medium rare and it came out perfect. My first bite kind of grossed me out only because the meat patty was so moist that it felt like it was completely raw in my mouth but it wasn't! The bun almost tasted/looked like a really moist egg bun shiny with meat grease splattered on it from the neighboring beef patty cooking on the grill.

My BF ordered his burger with Swiss and mushrooms and he really liked it but then again i think he likes everything he puts in his mouth.
We also ordered a 1/2 basket of fries and they were exactly like good times fries which are good but i was expecting freshly cut fries with this decadent burger.

2 fountain drinks, 1/4lb burger with 2 toppings, 1/2lb burger with 2 toppings, and 1/2 basket of fries came to $26 so it wasn't too bad. We went on a Saturday around 1:30pm and parking was about 96%full.
I suggest going around 2 because the lunch crowd was starting to leave.

You probably saw this place on Man vs Food or whatever.. and there is a reason for this.

Just go. It's a damn good burger, maybe not the best you'll ever have but with all those topping to choose from, it makes for a fun and interesting ordering experience. Try experimenting. I had the jalapenos on mine which I haven't done before, but glad I did. My fiance said the bbq sauce tasted different in a good way.

I don't think you could go wrong with this place.

Oh, almost forgot. Make sure to get the onion rings and ranch dipping sauce.. The BEST we have ever had. Did not want to stop eating those things. Order the Frings if you want fries too. The fries are good, but nothing different from the usual fry. The waiter actually asked if we wanted ranch with our order which I have found to be rare for restaurants to offer it before you are able to ask. But what the waiter failed to mention was that there was a charge for it. Not that it would have mattered though, cuz it was darn good. We're sort of ranch connoisseurs.

Juicy, cooked perfectly (medium) with plenty of toppings!  I can only manage a little cricket and the few times I've been here it's been packed but awesome and customer service hasn't lacked!
It seems out of place for Cherry Creek but its an awesome little hangout.  took my cousin today with my boyfriend and we were all really satisfied for only 30 bucks with 2 iced teas.
Can't wait to go back

The Cricket is a Denver pillar.

Some of the best eats in town (the Little Cricket Burger is the bomb).  Good prices, good crowd.  This place is a bit hard to predict regarding the nightlife as Thurs and Friday are always different.  There are enough TVs to watch local sports and a couple pool tables and a patio.

The staff is pretty much the same as it has been over the last 10 years and they will always treat you well.

If you haven't been to the Cricket, you must check it out.

Chill place to go hang out with friends, but was not 'wow-ed' by the burgers. Red Robin burgers are so much better.

I did a bad bad thing.

I had fully intended on keeping the dieting - eating healthy commitment I made with myself about a week and a half ago. I blame the weather and the fact that my kids were off from school for the blissful indulgences and non diet like decisions I was party to earlier today. Oh yeah, and the FREAKING UNREAL, SUPER INSANE, FOOD AT THE CHERRY CRICKET .... so it was not my fault.

I would also like to state for the record, I DO NOT dig the whole Cherry Creek North scene, no offense to anyone in particular. I just don't feel comfortable with women who carry handbags the size of my minivan, who wear jeans that cost as much as my rent, or have spent about 97 minutes getting ready to go the grocery store. HOWEVER ... stepping through the doors of The Cherry Cricket is like washing your hands free of any stuck-upedness and just hanging out with the "cool" people.

Dang there were a lot of these people here today. The hostess said about 10-15 minutes but it was only about 5-10, it is always a pleasant surprise when things go this way. We sat down right by the door and as long as we weren't all claustrophobic about the large masses of people milling about it was a fine spot, some folks may have been put off a bit. We ordered our app. and meals all at the same time and the server was SLAMMED but she put the order in perfectly so things came out in sequence and everything was piping hot ... this is no easy task when you have a full house.

The artichoke dip was so delicious, I could have licked the dish clean and my kids nearly came to blows over the last piece of bread to dip. It was really tasty, like make obscene noises good. Thank goodness the place is so loud. I had a burger with bleu cheese crumbles, medium, my 11 yr. old had the Little Cricket Burger (cute) and my 9 yr. old the Tuna Melt. We also snarfed down some Frings and really thought passing out at the table from sheer joy was entirely possible

My burger was cooked to perfection with the ultimate amount of char and crispiness to my toasted bun. The cheese was yummy too. The fries were some of the best we've ever had and I want to plant an onion ring and turn them into fields and fields of diet busting greatness. Miss "Little Cricket" was happy too! Jessie, while laden in sauce and cheese from one ear to the other said her sandwich was " killer" and was the best tuna melt she's ever had ...

How sweet... wait a second, hold on, WHAT ??? I make her tuna melts all the time ... what the... oh Jessie dear... I wonder what she meant by "best" exactly?

So went here with a couple of people.. Wait on a Saturday was not long at all.. maybe 15 minutes..

Had the mac and cheese wedges and the jalapeno poppers for appetizers..
I do think that the wedges were good, but it's probably the fact that it is deep fried that makes it so irresistible.. The poppers were good as well.. I liked how they had jelly with it.. It was different and quite satisfying..

Of course had the burgers here.. I went with jalapeno and cream cheese as I saw on Man V. Food.. I did like how they cooked the burger.. It was perfectly medium rare as asked.. While it's not the best burger I've had, I can see this being one of the best for the Denver area.. The burger was quite juicy and combined with jalapeno and cream cheese, it was quite delicious..

If I come back to Denver, I definitely wouldn't mind coming back here...

The cricket may be trendy but their burgers are oh so tasty.

The service here is decent and I always find myself standing in the way when I'm getting a drink and waiting for a table (which is every time, this place is busy!) but I have no real problem with the service, they are neither exceptional nor bad.

The burgers here are good and the toppings is probably what gets me. They have so much to choose from. As in other burger reviews, I wish my burger patty had as big a diameter as the bun but it's not a big deal. The burger is good but gets a 3, I've had better at a more decent price (with fries, if I'm not mistaken the fries cost extra) The 4th star is because they always have something to drink or drink specials. With the bar being such a presence in the restaurant, it's hard to neglect getting a drink and their drink specials utilize their bar well.

Plan to wait for a table at seemingly any given time of the day, plan for it to be a bit of a pain to find parking. If trying some "odd" burger topping for the first time, ask the server for help on what other toppings would compliment it well.

I am going to update my review, after 5 years of living here, because I am still a fan. And I believe the hype from Denver, the Food Network, the Travel Channel, and hundreds of burger contests that this is one of the best burgers around.

Definitely in my top 10 burgers I've ever had.

So, for what it is, a burger joint, I am a fan!

I can't believe it has taken me so long to try the Cherry Cricket, a bar that reveals a little more about what it's like to be a Denver citizen. Friendly but tenacious...and oh so tasty (not that I know what Denver citizens taste like), this bar humorously represents the Cherry Creek dive scene. The burgers and the beer are as promised. The alla carte pricing, well I guess that's the Cherry Creek side of the family.

Sports and GREAT burgers - what better combination can you ask for? These burgers are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo good, my mouth is watering just thinking about them! And if this review doesn't convince you, the line out the door will!  Don't think I can ever get through the 1/2 pound Cricket burger, but the Little Cricket is too darn good for words... I will be making many - and I mean MANY - return trips...

Yum yum yum!  I can't say if Cherry Cricket has the best burger in Denver ( I need to try City grille and My Brother's Bar first) but I can say that they serve a darn tasty one.

I love the sports bar atmosphere and the great assortment of beers!  It can get so crowded though on a game day, so be warned.

There burgers are so juicy and delicious.  I can't eat the whole half pound burger, but I order it and ask for them to cut it in half.  I find ordering the 1/4 pound burger isn't the best choice.  When there's less meat in the patty it just cooks differently and not as well.  So if you are like me and can't eat an entire 1/2 pound, I would advise cutting it in half instead of ordering the little cricket burger.

Oh and guess where I found out about fried mac n cheese.  Yeah that's right, here.  I had no idea such a concoction existed, but my friends said I had to try it.  Yes, it's decadent and tasty.  When your cares of healthy eating are out the window, go ahead and give them a try.

When you are in need for great tasting bar food and beer come here!

I visited this "cool" bar and grill upon the recommendation of a native of Denver during my drive back East from Phoenix, AZ. While there was a 20 minute wait (on a Sunday!), the lively bar atmosphere made the wait quite pleasant.

For an appetizer, my sister and I enjoyed fried macaroni and cheese wedges with ranch sauce. At first, my sister thought these would not be that tasty, but she was won over by the comforting flavor.

While I had the Cherry Cricket burger special (6.95 for burger and fries) with bacon and smoked cheddar, my sister ordered the avocado melt. We both enjoyed our sandwiches very much and were impressed by the competent service.

The restaurant was packed and even though we were seated in the "pool room" towards the back of the restaurant, our order was taken with great speed and delivered warm. Further, our water glasses were never empty. The Cherry Cricket definitely made for a delicious dinner on my brief "drive-through" visit to Denver.
