Goodlettsville has very few worthwhile dining options, especially if you prefer to avoid soulless chain establishments. Chef's is a real gem! Tucked away in an otherwise unremarkable strip mall on Conference Drive, it's counter-service-only and is perfect for take-out, though there's also a pleasant dining area and a few tables outside.
I would probably describe the menu as "comfort food with a gourmet twist." I'm especially fond of the pot roast, vegetable casserole, and sweet potatoes, but there are several other tasty entree and side options, as well. In addition to the regular offerings there are usually a couple of daily specials. Often I want something lighter and healthier, so I'll get a salad trio (any three salads from the fabulous and diverse salad case.) Try the wild rice orzo -- yum! There's also a delicious ambrosia salad, which maybe isn't so light and healthy but sometimes it's hard to resist.
I strongly believe in supporting locally-owned businesses, and Chef's is definitely one worth supporting!
One of those consistently great places. It's fancy enough for pre-theater, yet fast enough to make sure you make curtain. Pot roast is my favorite there. The dessert counter IS TRULY the best in town.
Awesome food on the Northside...In Summner Co. the outdoor seating was Surprisingly comfortable!
I love the food selection and the atmosphere. It's very unique. The desserts are absolutely incredible! :)
Chef's Market is the healthiest food in Goodlettsville and probably Rivergate too. They have cases full of prepared salads and casseroles along with a menu of wraps, sandwiches, soups, and choices for children. They also have an espresso bar area by the cash registers. Everything that I had there was fresh but I just didn't find the flavors amazing. A little pricey but it's a cute little place and in my opinion one of the bests in the part of town.
One of a kind in goodlettsville. Wide variety of menu choices. Specialty salads on display everyday..from pasta to strawberry yogurt. The meat and three area isn't your typical meat and three. Were talking roasted sweet potatoes with pecan and spring greens....If you're looking for something new and fresh and healthy in goodlettsville ( they do servce cheeseburgers so it's not that health) try chef's market
