Review Highlights
It used to be great, 5 stars great, but I think the mall renovation messed up their flow a bit.
The "free" bread always makes me happy, and I always order the bang bang chicken, it's about 14.95? it's an american twist on curry. The flaked coconut adds subtle texture to the whole dish, the rice has always been neither over nor undercooked, the chicken is always moist, the shrimp tends to slightly, just slightly over cooked. It is a great dish and super fun to say!
The factory burrito, is also a good choice. It is a monstrous burrito (probably about a foot long). I think you could substitute it, but they serve it with black beans, with tasty "cilantro rice" and have everything else to the side.
I have yet to try the avocado eggrolls which I have heard so many good comments about it, but once I do, better believe I'll yelp it!

I love this Cheesecake Factory.
The food here is always good, the service is great, and the portions give you enough for a next-day meal. They are a well-oiled machine. All chains should look to them as a guide because they have it down.
Unfortunately, they are always packed and because of that, you need to nearly shout at the other members of your party to be heard. Wait times to be seated make it almost not worth going. Almost...
So, if you plan on eating here, come an hour in advance and bring your piggy bank because they love to raise their prices on a whim.
BUT you will eat well and the service will never let you down.
I've never had a bad experience here! The service is awesome. The food is outstanding. And they have this alcoholic pink lemonade that I have become addicted to.
I don't even like cheesecake and I like their cheesecake. The white chocolate caramel one we had was amazing. The avocado egg roll appetizers were too yummy. I had the garlic pasta without the chicken and the flavor was perfect - spicy, creamy, rich.
I haven't tried eating outside on their patio yet but will do so once the weather warms up again. Cheesecake Factory is a pleaser!

OMG, let me just tell you that this place is soooo good and I am know the biggest fan of Cheesecake factory. Unfortunately, the resturant is unable to reach five star quality due to the fact that it takes two hours to get a table and the table that we received was smooshed into a corner on the patio. Did I mention that we were a party of 10???!!!??? Oh yea, lets not forget that our party was making the table of two next to us upset cause we were bumping into them for the mere fact that we were trying to get to our seats....**end rant** Now to the food, I had the best appetizer and side salad, and let me tell you that i was just the right size for me as the meal portions here are huge and I really did not want a huge heavy meal, I really wanted cheesecake and I did not want to feel guilty for eating. I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna with a simple salad with Honey Mustard. I would recommend this dish combo to any who does not want a really heavy meal like lets say like my fiance who ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, now that is heavy stuff. After dinner we ordered a the mudslide Oreo cheesecake. It was way yummy!!!! not rich even though my fiance thought it was, I did not!!!! This is my new favorite spot it is so my favorite spot that Mark and I are going to do our date night at the brea location. Oh how I can't wait, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!!!! Yummy!!!
As I type this review, getting chills and short of breath from eating bad sushi (see below), I remember I forgot to mention Cheesecake Factory and how I've been ill the last two times I've eaten there.
This past time I decided to give Cheesecake a second chance after they had food poisoned me with are mushroom pasta of some sort many years back. We stopped by here after my excursion at Bare Escentuals in the TO Mall. I ordered the Seafood Jambalaya. The shrimp must not have been handled well because that night, I was ill, waking up throughout and not getting good sleep at all. The next day after it was all "out of my system" I felt better than ever and that is always my tell-tale sign that whatever it was, even if it was a mild case, it was food poisoning.
Sorry Cheesecake, you have been blacklisted by my stomach.

I've been impressed with all the dishes here. We enjoyed the arugula pear endive salad, chinese chicken salad, grilled eggplant sandwich, herb crusted salmon filet, cajun jambalaya pasta, crispy spicy beef, meatloaf, shrimp scampi with steak diane, filet mignon, kobe burger, chicken madeira, all the apps are great! Good beverage selection, good well drinks, good martinis, everything here is good! The point, all portions are good enough for two people, so try splitting an entree. Otherwise this always an excellent choice for lunch or dinner.

Cheesecake Factory has never let me down. Whether it's a business lunch or a family dinner, there is always something for everyone. Of course the servings are ginormous and it's a chain, but I'm not complaining.
Armed with a gift card, we recently visited our closest Cheesecake for lunch. To my surprise, they had a Monte Cristo sandwich on the Sunday brunch menu. Since this is now the object of my own personal gluttonous quest, I ordered the breakfast version which is made with bacon and scrambled eggs. It was awesome! I then suffered a massive heart attack and died...Not really, but if I did, I would have died happy.
If you have kids, there are no kids menus, but they do have kid friendly options. Just ask your server about them.
As usual it was packed with pretentious people. The mall is currently in a transition stage with lots of construction, but they are still serving cheesecake.

Boo on you, Cheesecake Factory. Your staff needs to do a better job cleaning your booths.
I had just dropped a chunk of change on a damn-fine pair of jeans and decided I was hungry and needed a glass of wine. (Hey, trying on jeans can be tough.)
I went to my booth, put my bags down, and promptly stuck my hand in a pile of goo on the edge of my seat. I could take some guesses as to what the pile o' goo was...chocolate cake, I hope? But it felt -and looked - nasty.
That kind of ruined the rest of my lunch.
My BBQ chicken ranch salad tasted kind of watery. The wine was ok, but I've had better Pinot Grigios
I could have spent that $23 (including tip) a little more wisely.

The empire of cheesecakes. Well, you know what, I can't really hate on you. Why? You have fairly decent food at reasonable prices. Plus, you're open late.
It's always fun to eat at this Cheesecake Factory as you see all the inspiring "Real Wives Of O.C." here. I'm actually quite shocked that show wasn't made out here considering a lot of the people in this county really think they're special because they have money.
Anyways, always decent food, service is always good. If you haven't been to Cheesecake Factory in your life, you must live under a rock.

I used to LOVE the Cheesecake Factory (for a chain, it's good, what can I say?) but I guess as with most things, you get bored after awhile.
Yeah, their food is decent and they have HUGE portions but really? Does America NEED to eat a plate of food large enough to feed 3-4 people?
That being said, I love the Baja Chicken Tacos, the Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes, the Santa Fe Salad, the Chicken & Biscuits, the Steak Diane and the Morning Quesadilla.

I won't reiterate the menu here, it's Cheesecake Factory. Food is average, service is absolutely horrible. Staffed primarily by snotty teens from the area, unless you meet their visual standards then prepare to wait and be treated poorly. Since I'm a little on the bigger side, I think you can tell where this is going.
The couple of times I've been to this location the food has been OK but it takes so long to get out to you, you start to wonder if it's even worth it (even on several slow weekdays my wife and I have been subject to excessively long waits), in addition we've had trouble with our servers being given too large an area to service and having to wait for far too long for drink/bread refills. Even the CHEESECAKE here isn't that great. Heresy, you might say, but I've had better, and more often.
My suggestion: try Sisley across the way, they (used to?) have a wicked italian saugage with fettucine, the staff is much friendlier and the wait far shorter.
This restaurant has many different types of food that can satisfy any craving. There is everything from American food, Thai food, Chinese, Mexican, and Italian. The service is always really friendly and very organized. The only thing I would recommend is getting there very early (5 o'clock) on weekends because it will have at least an hour wait.
I strongly recommend the Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp. It is great if you like curry and coconut. It's not too spicy, but just spicy enough. If you're looking for a lighter meal, the salads are excellent and the Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps are really good. The Thai Chicken Pasta is also really good; it has a delicious peanut sauce on it. Their Tropical Smoothie is really good too.
If you like cheesecake, this is the best cheesecake I have ever had. They are constantly coming up with new flavors and have a list of about 20 different kinds. If you want to be traditional, go with the Strawberry cheesecake. If you're feeling a little daring, try the Banana Cream cheesecake. You won't regret it.

Ate here on numerous occasions during my employment in Boring Oaks.. I mean Thousand Oaks. I always had excellent service and very friendly staff despite it being empty or filled at 100% capacity.
These guys never missed a beat.
Food portions were massive and always took food home. Each time the food was delicious and excellent. I LOVED the pulled pork sandwich despite the food coma after ahha..
Bar service is excellent even during 5pm happy hour.

I wanted to dislike The Cheesecake Factory something fierce. Somehow I've avoided it for years and during that time I built up almost an animosity toward it. It's the ultimate in overblown, overstuffed American chain restaurants and in my indie mind, it's evil. But hey, a $50 gift card is a $50 gift card. If it's free, who cares about evil.
But seriously, the food was delicious, I was pleasantly surprised starting with one of the greatest appetizers of all time - fried mac & cheese! I've seen commercials for this dish at various other places and it excited me to no end. Finally, I got to try it and it was even better than I expected. Best. Appetizer. Ever. More bars need to serve fried mac & cheese. It would be the best drunk food.
My entree was the Hibachi Steak - slices of steak with mushrooms, onions and a teriyaki sauce served with tempura aspargus and wasabi mashed potatoes. Very tasty and cooked perfectly. My only complaint was the mashed potatoes barely had any wasabi flavoring.
The wife had the Ranch House Burger - a burger topped with chunks of steak, bacon, mushrooms and cheese. Mmm....Meaty! It too was really good and cooked perfectly medium rare.
There wasn't a chance in hell that we were going to be able to eat any more food, so we got a slice of Lemon Raspberry Cream Cheesecake to go. I love that they have a to go dish that keeps the whip cream and the cheesecake separate. Do they have a separate Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake To Go Box Factory somewhere?
Service was good, seats were comfortable, cute kid in the window played peek-a-boo with me. Overall, it was a solid meal and it only cost me a few bucks thanks to the wonder of the gift card. Someday I'll actually have to come back and pay for my meal and see if I like it as much as when it's free.
But advertisements in the menu do leave me with a cold, evil feeling in the end.

So many, many lunches with mom and my little brother have been spent here. Right after sweet talking her into buying me a pair of shoes or something because this location is located in the Thousand Oaks mall. The waits are never terrible, and the service is always great!
P.S. Why are the floors at EVERY C.F. so gosh darn slippery! Why?
Dude its the Cheesecake factory! Its the same everywhere you go. Um except this was the location where some employees were stealing credit card information. It was all over the news. Anyway to the food. They have lots of variety but the food is usually mediocore to good. Never poor, never great. I did try something new this time around. Miso glazed salmon. Not bad at all. Glad I did not pick up the tab with my credit card though.

Even though it's a chain, cheesecake factory is pretty good. Consistent from location to location. For steak lovers, the cajun ribeye is really good - far better than steakhouses like outback.
The low-carb cheesecake is fantastic.
As Cheesecake Factory chain goes, this one is OK. It has a variety of menu options and is a general good choice if you're feeling fo-adventurous. I am a fan of the eggplant burger, the yummiest veggie burger in town.
If you are on a wheel chair though, I recommend eating off peak hours because the tables are too close for easy navigation during rush hours.
hands down my favorite go to restaurant. when we can't decided where to grab a bite or wake up starving sunday morning and don't want to drive too far this is where we end up. the service is always great. they now offer kids menus which we don't order from anyways though. and they have a great green iced tea. i get mine sweetened and it is heaven, it has a minty taste which i love. i always love what i order, like the miso salmon, garlic noodles with shrimp, tuna tar tar, farfalle, pizzas. i love it all.

Why the hell would you spend 50 to 75 for a meal for two at the Cheesecake Factory when you could actually find a good local restaurant on Yelp that has much better food. Some previous reviews have said that there is something for everyone, but that is part of the problem with the place. I am sorry but I do not need to have a large variety of mediocre food. If I want thai food or Italian food, I will go to a restaurant that actually specializes and does it well, instead of getting the Bang Bang Bangkok Brothel dish or whatever the hell it is called. My final beef is with the menus. I do not want to see a Lexus ad next to my food selections. I really wonder about a chain that feels the need to squeeze out as much profit as possible by selling the real estate of their menus. But maybe that is how they support the cost of their massive portions? If your friends drag you here, then do not fret too much, but otherwise be a true Yelper and choose restaurants that do one cuisine well.

Cheesecake, Thousand Oaks... I have such a love/hate relationship with this place that it's not even funny.
The service is usually pretty good - when you finally get your table. I love getting paged to be seated, and then getting to stand in the middle of everyone trying to get by you while you wait to be seated again...lol. What is that about?????
But...I do love that Cheesecake, and the portions are big.
I'll settle for takeout Cheesecake Factory to-go. :)

I love this place! o so good! The inside and outside is both nicely decorated. Their food portions are very big and you are def. getting your money's worth. I've never been dissappointed about my food choices, they are all good. I recommend the salads, but they are really big, the chicken marsala (yum!) and of course all the cheescakes are great. The dulce de leche cheesecake is the most sugar teeth decaying cheesecake, i swear it's tastes like pure sugar, doesn't even taste like cheesecake. The ones that are good is white chocolate raspberry truffle (OMG YUM!), snickers bar. Though I think the slices have got smaller over the years, they are still good. What might be better priced if you want a whole cheesecake is go to costco and they have the cheesecake factory sampler w/ 4, I think different kinds in each package (3 of each kind) and they are all really good. Back to the cheesecake factory:
They have good service, good food portions, but...it gets soooo busy there, mostly on the weekends but even on the week nights can get pretty bad. If you can make reservations I suggest that. The shortest amount of time that I had to wait was about 30 mins. But if your lucky they have tables for you to wait at. Other than that you won't regret your decision of eating here. O and depending on what you get like pasta for example, you can split between 2 people.

I have been to the Cheesecake Factory at the Grove several times and the food was always consistently good. Not great by any means but OK. I went to this location last night and was pretty disappointed. I ordered a small endive and pecan salad and a grilled cheese. When the salad arrived, I noticed something strange in it and it was a big hunk of chicken. Now being a vegetarian for 17 years, I wasn't actually sure what it was but Paul tasted it and confirmed that it was indeed chicken....bummer. So, I sent it back right away and didn't ask for a replacement. Paul had ordered the garlic noodles without cheese and had to send his back because it came with the cheese. He also mentioned that he didn't like how it tasted so he ordered the Kobe burger as a replacement. My grilled cheese was actually burnt and gross. The cheddar cheese was actually brown and did not taste like any type of cheddar I have ever had before. Sigh....I only ate about four bites.
The manager came over and apologized profusely for the problems with our food which was nice. I was too embarrassed to send the grilled cheese back too, I am not used to sending food back. Everyone else liked their food so, maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. (Although I have ordered this same thing at the Grove location before and it was good enough!).
The desserts at the Cheesecake factory are awesome though. I tried a few bites out of Paul's Godiva brownie ice cream sunday and out of my brother in law's peanut butter cookie dough cheese cake and wow....they were both fantastic. They also brought us a mini ice cream Sunday for a birthday celebration and that was good also.
Although my food stunk and Paul had to send his back the first time I had a nice time. The outside patio area is decorated nicely and the waitstaff are quite friendly. Everyone else that were with loved their food and the desserts are amazing. Normally I would have given the Grove location a three star rating but for this location I am actually giving it a 1.5-2 star rating. Hey, but the leftover pizza that I ate as soon as I got home from Buono was AWESOME!

The Cheesecake Factory serves a large variety of consistently good food. It's a great place to eat after shopping at the mall. It's also a good place to take a group as someone usually finds something they like. I like their salmon salad.
Don't hate me, but I think their cheesecake (though large in variety) is just OK.
if there could be one word to describe the cheesecake factory...it would probably be "massive quantity"...wait, i said one, right?
after spending what little funds i had in my checking account in order to put glee on the faces of each of my nieces & nephews for the xmas holiday...my shopping posse decided to round up and eat at this establishment.
after drinks were served all 'round (i had a mint iced tea...i was feeling kinda sissy-ish)...our dishes were served not too long after.
the quesadilla i ordered was filling as always...the pico de gallo and guacamole is always good to smother over my quesadilla. a few other plates that floated around the table were pork chops, some steak dishes, and my sis's favourite, the pizza lunch order. it came w/ a caesar's salad. my sis had a "collection plate" in front of her order....which meant that she wanted everyone to place a taste of their order in there so she could try it...she's a funny girl.
so this place, like many other restaurant chains, has it's charms...the outdoor heated seating (cuz it's been a bit chilly lately), the waiters asking if you want freshly ground peppery, or freshly shaved parmesan cheese...it's all good, and so were our meals.
a solid four stars cheesecake! and again, that mint tea is ace!

What's the point in buzzing you to let you know your table is ready if you are buzzed with 3 other parties at the same time and then ushered to the side to wait an additional 5 minutes? Why can't you just buzz me after you seat the people in front of me and are ready to seat me? Why do you stack all the dirty plates right in front of me before taking them away? Why do you drop off my food and then I never hear back from you? Why do you put so many rice noodles on your Chinese Chicken Salad? Why do you charge a fortune for food that is so-so? Why did you change your Baja Soft Tacos so they don't have grilled onions on them? And why would you not tell people that it has been changed when they order it and it has the old description on the menu? Why do you have to make cheesecakes with everything you can imagine? Why do I keep going back? Because the Thai Chicken Pasta is the only yummy thing I like there except when you put the carrots in it. Why do you need carrots?

Their cheesecake is soooooooo......yummy! Garlic noodle is my favorite! Expect a little wait time on the weekends, but since it's located inside The Oaks mall, it's nice to look around while you wait to be seated. I'll bet The Oaks Mall will be super nice when the renovation is done (Fall 2008).
food is good, service is good... I think the menu is interesting and they have a lot of shrimp dishes ...
awesome food, servers. can get noisy in main dining but side room and also outside dining available.
