Review from Mia K.
Baton Rouge, LA
For 2 hours a day, Simon's Rock first year students have the option of taking a van into town and roaming the wild, rugid streets of Great Barrington. Some people go to the bank and deposit checks from their parents or their student jobs. Some people go to the toy store and play with their off the beaten path educational toys. Some people go to Price Chopper to buy ez mac. Still others go to Kmart to buy crates, school supplies, and linens. The smart people go to Cheesecake Charlie's.
With about a million flavors (ok, slight exageration) of amazing homemade cheesecakes, this is the premier dessert venue in the Berkshires. Each bite est une touche de reve (a touch of heaven). The texture combined with amazing flavors such as Snickers, Oreo, and Milkyway provide an unparalleled cheesecake experience. (The Snickers cheesecake at Cheesecake Charlie's could fight the Godiva Cheesecake at Cheesecake factory and hold it's own. Although, to determine which is better, I will require samples from both companies, accompanied by several other samples, which I will retain as my payment.)
I've actually thought about driving to old GB just for the cheesecake, until I realise that I would be driving 4 1/2s hours to injest countless calories, which is probably a bad idea. But if you're severely underweight, I highly recommend traveling any distance to eat in this hidden jewel of the Berkshires!Listed in: My life in the Berkshires...
