    Cheese Berry is closing: (

Upon hearing that Cheese Berry is closing I made an effort to come here
    one last time.

Cheese Berry has become one of those regular places my friends visit when in Chinatown. I'll admit that in the beginning I was skeptical about the idea of an "Asian pizza". However, it really is true that you just do not know until you try it. After that first bite I was an immediate fan.

On this last trip my friends and I ordered the supreme, black pepper beef, bbq chicken and 3 cup chicken.  The first three turned out amazing. Each came out super hot, glistening with gooey cheesy goodness. Bite after bite each slice was packed with flavor. As we finished one pizza, another one would come out each looking tastier than the one before.

Finally the last one came, the 3 cup chicken. It was something I have always wanted to try but never got the chance to. Just like the previous 3 this one looked absolutely amazing. Upon taking that first bite you taste every ingredient, it's almost like these is too much flavor. It definitely made me regret not ordering this before.

I can say that this has been one of the more satisfying meals I have had lately. The food here is very unique and absolutely delicious. The lady there is the sweetest and works very hard to make sure each table is attended to.  I am quite sad that a place like this is going away.

Cheese Berry is definitely one of those unique restaurants that makes Houston great. I wish them the best and hope they reopen some day.

I didn't know this before, but you can call in ahead of time to place an order and avoid the long wait.

Anyway, the pizza here is GREAT! They have really unique pizza flavors, and their crusts are always nice and crispy. Everyone's crazy about the Kimchi Bulgogi pizza. I wasn't a huge fan, but I did really like the 3 Cup Chicken. And the Cheese Berry (topped with cream cheese and berries) is a MUST for dessert!

Apparently, they've closed down... I'm hoping it's a temporary thing, because I'm dying to try the other flavors! :(

I admit, I am pretty lazy with writing reviews but the super nice Asian lady working at Cheese Berry asked me to review soo... this is for you sweet babydoll!!

I decided to sit outside since the weather was feeling great and our waitress was so concerned that we were upset, it was really thoughtful. Anyway, we ordered the blue cheese chicken poppers (don't think it was blue cheese) to start out with and they were great and had a nice kick to them. Ordered the coconut slush to drink and the 3 cup chicken. WOW, both are great! My date ordered the jasmine green tea (mmmm) and the super Hawaiian pizza and was also delicious.

Food is great and I think what stands out the most is the great superior service which I believe is so hard to find now-a-days. Good job Cheese Berry!

OK, I have to admit I was pretty intrigued about Asian Pizza. It kind of reminds me of the skittles commercial, the one about the Scotch Korean... just so many contradictions! lol!

I went with the BBQ Chicken Pizza. At first the crust had a strange taste, but after my first slice the tastes came together and I actually enjoyed the pizza very much. I also ordered a passion fruit/green tea iced tea. I felt the same way about the iced tea, not thrilled with the taste, but after a little while, ended up enjoying it too.

The ladies behind the counter were pretty helpful and super nice. I would recommend this pizza, but keep an open mind and don't judge it from the first bite! Bon appetite!

    GET IN MY BELLY!!!!!!

I've been coming to this place since it first opened... in fact, I dropped by opening day and got a menu. They serve Asian and American style pizzas. I've tried a almost all the Asian pizzas on the menu and I really like(all of 'em) the bulgogi, red or green curry and black pepper beef pizzas. If I'm in the mood for something "lighter" I'll get the mushroom delight. What really makes the pizza are the bold flavors and crispy crust. The owners have got something great going on here. If you get a little thirsty they have an assortment of tapioca teas.

This place not only makes great pizza, but they have EXCELLENT customer service. Jeanette and mama Paula have always been the sweetest!(Monty B- you're the wackjob!!)

Cheeseberry is definitely the place to go whenever your starvin' for some good Asian pizza. I will continue to recommend this place to friends and family because of the awesome food and great service.

Ordered: kimchi bulgogi pizza, bbq pizza with mushrooms, chicken wings, with green tea and yogurt, and lychee tea.

Inside it is very small, but I like it. It reminds me of NYC resturaunts.  The drinks were made to perfection not too sweet and not to bland.
Let me start off saying the wings were as tiny as my two thumbs put together but the sauce were as good as any wing location for instance at home.  The bbq pizza had hot peppers in it although I didn't see any in it, but for some odd reason its one of those hot items you can't stop eating even though its too spicy! YUM! (I love mushrooms) A-plus-plus! The kimchi pizza was yummy. It was literally bulgogi on the bottom toped with kimchi and it tasted as is.  Just a pizza form with no rice.

I must add the lady/owner is soooo sweet. She reminds me of the lady in the cartoons who cook in the back. Please if your reading this don't be offended. You know those japanese cartoon big lady whose funny, sweet, and charming? Can't beat service like that.

If you want to replace your rice with crust form Cheeseberry is the place to go!

I had been pressuring my two friends to come here based on the Yelp raves, so we finally did make it out here recently.  Asian food fusioned with pizza - what is there not to love about this?

We came here for an early dinner and it was pretty empty, save for the owners/servers and a couple of their friends.  We were greeted promptly and friendly-like, seated, and given menus.

Sooo . . . all right, I do accept our waitress's (possibly the owner?) explanation that they were still refining the menu, but my friend tried to order the Vegetarian Royale and she was informed that they didn't have the vegetarian meat in stock.  Then after much raving from our waitress that their teas were stupendous, my friend asked for the Thai tea - oh wouldn't you know it, they no longer offer that (despite it not being marked off of the menu like several other items).  Kind of a shaky start, no?

I was able to request the Veggie-holic sans cheese to render it vegan - much to the waitress's chagrin and concern that the pizza would be too dry.  It arrived pretty all right with a moderate amount of your basic vegetables (refer to photos).  It was quite palatable with a bit of extra marinara to dip in.  I'd have to say it could've used a little more salt and I'm sure it would've been a more perfect balance of flavors with the cheese, but ah well, i suffer for my fanatical adoration of animals.  My friend said his Spicy Kimchi Bulgogi was pretty decent, but the kimchi was a little "too spoiled" for his taste.  I was expecting him to be impressed based on all the other reviewer's raves, but he did finish his entire small pie.  My other friend quite adored her Mushroom Delight.  The crust was thin, but not paper thin and non-oily - this pleased me as I hate super-doughy pizzas.

Parmesan and red pepper didn't seem to be readily available here, but they may possibly be faux pas considering this is fusion pizza?  Maybe you have to request these things.

Our small pizzas were around $7-$9 without drink or tip.  An 8 inch (I think?) is for sure a hearty meal for someone with an appetite.

I would give this place 3 stars since only one of us seemed super enamored with our pizzas and they were out of menu items on a Saturday, but the service was excellent.  We were checked on regularly and water and drink glasses filled.  Our waitress was pretty adorable and tried to make everything sound amazing - gold star for her.  Also this is the only place I know of in Houston that does the East Asian fusion thing, so gotta give props for that.

So when I was out of the country in Asia, I was craving for the Spicy Kimchi Bulgogi pizza (from Cheese berry) LOL... I'm so surprised that in Asia they haven't even have a place like Cheese Berry.  I have to say that Cheese Berry is very unique and really tasty.

I love coming to this place because its cozy and yes, its own by a family (I love small busineses). I dislike the comment that was made by a yelper comparing this wonderful place to Pinkberry.  Oh my... how can you rate this with a frozen yogurt place.  Plus, another yelper is disturbing... its so funny this person thinks that Cheese berry would have a lunch special on Saturday (eventhough its clearly on their WEBSITE that they don't and why didn't he just ask the waitress if there's a lunch special. I mean isn't that what you do if your not sure?. Not many restaurants have lunch specials on the weekend PERIOD. Oh my... I don't know wher you eat but yeah..  Anyways, I came here with one of my friend yesterday and of course we had great customer service... very attenative and always friendly.

Since I'm on my veggie diet, I was craving for the spicy kimchi pizza. I had talked to our waitress and she had recommened to get the spicy kimchi pizza with mushrooms on one side (which realy have the same texture and taste like the bulgogi), and on the other side pineapple which brings out the sweetness and combines well with the kimchi and the siracha sauce.  I'm so happy that I got my pizza.

Oh!!! I'm in love with their dessert pizza. We couldn't decide what kind of dessert pizza to get so we got the Choco Strawberry pizza. Yum!!! It goes so well. Actually.. i'm craving for it right now. LOL.. *two thumbs up to Cheese Berry!* I love ya'll. Will definitely come back here!!!!

My friends and I came here on a Friday night.  We expected it to be packed based on the reviews we've read on Yelp, but surprisingly it was not packed at all.

I tried the Kimchi pizza, Green Curry pizza with mushrooms and no chicken, Mushroom delight pizza, and the cocoberry pizza.

All the pizzas came with a thin and buttery crust.  It wasn't too filling and it was cooked perfectly.

As for the pizzas themselves, the Mushroom delight pizza was the best for me.  It came with three different mushrooms (button, portobello, and shiitake) and fresh basil.  It was awesome.

The green curry pizza was also very good.  Most people will order it with Chicken and I think that would be great.  I got mushrooms as a replacement for chicken as I don't eat meat, and the mushrooms took over the flavor of the pizza.  The green curry on the pizza was spicy and tasted quite good but please don't order it with mushrooms.

I only had a bite of the kimchi pizza but it tasted quite good.

The dessert pizza (Cocoberry) was also very very good.  It comes with strawberries and chocolate chips and it was the perfect ending to the meal.

The service here was great.  They re-filled our waters promptly and they were very nice.  The chefs would also come out to talk to us and they were quite friendly.

The space is small but I want this business to succeed!  Definitely come here to try out asian-style pizzas!

I pretty much agree with everyone...excellent food, excellent service.

First of all, I was meeting someone here for lunch and we didn't have much time so I called in our order ahead of time.  The woman who answered the phone was so friendly and accomodating, I was shocked.  I feel like most phone-order-takers usually seem annoyed and want to get off the phone, but not this friendly lady.  She wanted to make sure she had the arrival time right b/c "she didn't want my pizza to get cold."  Man, I love patronizing places with considerate employees!

They have a nice selection of lunch specials which include the favorite pizzas (spicy kimchi bulgogi and green curry chicken) for ~$7 (for 10") with a drink.  I had the three cup chicken pizza b/c I've never had three cup chicken and it sounded delish.  My friend went with the green curry chicken.  I thought both were great, but I liked the green curry chicken a bit more.  You just can't go wrong with curry...

For drinks, my friend had the passion fruit green tea and it was pretty good.  I loved the drink I got, though...coconut cream slush.  Mmmm!!  I was so impressed with the food and hospitality of the employees that I really look forward to returning. :)

Cheese Berry is founded and run by a family with great entrepreneurial mindset. The bold and non-traditional concept of Asian style pizzas, the tasty flavors just blow my mind away.

Every time I make the trip to Houston, I'd always try to stop by Cheese Berry for a doze of my favorite spicy kimchi bulgogi pizza. Knowing the pizzas are made fresh with a dash of passion for food and warm hospitality from the owners, my tummy is always full and happy when I leave the restaurant.

I love Yelp.  It helps me find some really rad places to try.

For pizza, this place is doing it right.  The crust is crisp but not crunchy.  They use an appropriate amount of sauce.

For Asian inspired, this place is doing it right.  The flavors are nicely sweet and spicy all at once.

For Asian Inspired Pizza Fusion, this place is tops.

Although I have no other basis to compare, the food here was so yummy.  The service was great.  The milk tea was stuffed with tapioca.

The lunch prices were more than fair.

I will be back as soon as possible.

Everything lived up to the reviews!  I loved how crispy the crust was and the flavors of all the pizzas were spot on for me. I don't think I can pick a favorite because they were all so good.

I also got a Coconut Cream Slush which went perfect with all the spicy food.

Also, the owner was waiting tables and making the pizza, while her mom was working the register, and she was super nice and attentive too.  You could tell that she was super passionate about her food.

I love specialty pizzas and I've been dying for a place to make Asian specialty ones. You can't imagine my excitement when I heard of this place and how forward I was to eating here on my next trip to Houston.

The top thing to note about this place is their really really really thin crust. It's very crispy and not at all burnt.

I tried the Spicy Kimchi Bulgogi and the Black Pepper Beef. The spicy kimchi was probably my favorite out of the two. I must admit I couldn't taste the bulgogi that well. I though the red sauce on the pizza overpowered it but it was still definitely a delicious creation. As for the black pepper beef, the pepper taste really pops in your mouth and it's amazing.

This place is a really small establishment and there aren't many tables. Thankfully my group of friends were the only ones there during a lunch time and the service was really friendly. They were always refilling out water cups.

If there was a genie bottle, and he granted me 3 wishes.. one would be to have a Cheeseberry pizza!

FIVE STARS, people!! There was a decent amount of bulgogi meat with kim chi in almost every bite. oh man!!! It was an explosion of wonderful flavors! The saunce, topped it off... I'm not sure what it was but it gave the pizza slice a little kick. Oh how I want to go back and try another pizza.

The weather was beautiful that day so my friend and I decided to enjoy the meal outside. A very nice, old woman took our order and she was so sweet! She was very welcoming and explained the menu and gave us her recommendations! Overall, I was super happy and I will be back to enjoy the delicious pizza with my friends!

As you know....the Italians invented pizza, but Cheese Berry invented --- ASIAN PIZZA!!!!

Recommended Pizza entree: Spicy Kimchi Bulgogi (indescribably tasty!)
Recommended Pizza dessert: Cheese Berry (cream cheese w/ blueberries, blackberries, raspberries on a crispy crust).

After knowing the signature pizzas, I'll have to revisit again soon!!!  The flavors are really tasty and eclectic, and the pizza crusts were consistently crispy!!  Who wudathunkit that these flavors can all come together?

I recommend Cheese Berry, for all pizza-lovers!  Just reading the menu will make your eyes pop out of your head. ;)

I've had the Kimchi Bulgogi pizza on two occasions, the only flavor i've tried because I'm Korean so I have to get the Kimchi pizza.
I was glad to find that they use pretty good kimchi for the pizza.
The crust is pretty thin and crispy - I think I'd prefer a more bread-y crust though.
I'm glad that there's an Asian pizza place!
    It's definitely a different experience.

To find out what all the fusion pizza fuss is about, a trip to Chinatown was in order.  We finally found Cheese Berry after circling the huge shopping center for a few minutes.  Chinese characters all look alike!  Why can't they look like Korean characters?  ;P

The staff was extremely nice and helpful.  They were open to comments and criticisms which is pretty rare to find.

We decided upon the kimchi bulgogi pizza and the black pepper pizza.  The kimchi pizza with sriracha sauce was enjoyable.  I'm not sure if the sriracha sauce and kimchi actually go together flavor-wise except for the fact they are both spicy, but throw a little barbecue pork in there and you're good.

I did not care for the black pepper beef pizza.  I like pepper which I thought would make this pizza a sure winner.  The pepper was too much for me.  Maybe if there would have been less pepper I would have liked it, but all I could taste was pepper on pizza dough.

In addition to the pizza, they also serve all types of bubble tea.  Taro root is great when you're in the mood for Oreos.  (=

All-in-all, I liked my experience here and look forward to returning to try more types of pizza.  For the traditionalists, they have standard pizza toppings so you can go here with your more adventurous friends.

Asian pizza is the new black - no, the new crack. It's addicting and probably not good for your health, but well worth the drive across town to score the next fix.

Not. Kidding. As I noshed on my warm, thin-crust slice of Kung Pao Chicken pizza, all I could think was "when am I gonna come back for more?" Garlic, red chilis, peanuts, bell peppers, garlic and cuts of chicken all atop thin crust pizza ... move over [insert your formerly favorite pizza place]. There's a new Sheriff in town. The green curry chicken is also worth a slice, for you Thai food lovers. Unfortch, I didn't get to indulge in the Spicy Kimchi Bulgogi, but definitely next time. (along with the Spicy Chicken Tofu, Satay Seafood and Teriyaki Chicken)

The menu also boasts traditional pizzas, which I'm sure are equally insatiable, but when at Cheese Berry, think outside the pizza box and go Asian. Don't forget the small bites (like wings, chicken poppers and sweet potato fries), salads. And if you have a sweet tooth, they've got dessert pizzas too, topped with fruits, chocolate, peanut butter, honey, pudding 'n' more.

I didn't get my free soda, as David N did, instead I opted for one of their cold teas. Our server was kind to warn me that my selection would be bitter, so she whipped up something special for me since I couldn't add a sweetener. They've also got cream and snow slushies, guess that's where the "berry" falls into their name.

Service was beyond friendly - owner came out to check on tables, server was an adorably sweet older Asian lady - place is clean, but small. I'll be back to feed my new addiction sooner than later.

    Notes:
    Credit cards are accepted.
Lunch is obviously cheaper than dinner.
Few specials (including takeout) run throughout the week.
Place is hidden from street view, located in the strip center behind Sinh Sinh.

Pow wow!  The Kung Pao Chicken packs a good punch full  of large chunks of dried chili peppers that leaves your mouth smoking.  I loved every bite of it!  I also loved the Green Curry Chicken, which was more mild but still just as delicious.  I love the thin perfectly crunchy crust on both pizzas too.

I didn't get to dine in at the cute little cafe but had to order to go.  The sweet lady there was very kind and friendly, apologizing profusely for the 20-30 minute wait for the 5 pizzas I ordered when I had no problem with the wait at all.  She seemed really eager to please and I appreciated the effort and attention.

900 Reviews.  Had to save it for a 5 star establishment.

I am all about specialty pizzas.  Star, CPK, etc are all blown away by Cheese Berry.

Where else can you get Kung Pao Chicken or Black Pepper Beef as a pizza?

Well, some fancy toppings still doesn't make a good pizza in my book you got to have a good crust.  This place makes an extremely thin crunchy crust.  It's crunchy but not burnt.  This allows for the flavors of these unique pizzas to explode in your mouth.

My favorite was the Green Curry Chicken, imagine a bowl of curry mixed with chicken, bamboo, and onions, now imagine that all on a crunchy crust!

I would recommend coming here for lunch since they put most of their pizzas on their lunch menu which saves about 4 bucks a pizza and comes with a free soft drink.

This place has only been open for about 4 months and the explanation of the store name apparently is Cheese for the obvious reason of their pizza but they hope to be more on the Berry side with their desserts.  Right now I would stick to their Asian Specialty Pizzas as their desserts were so-so.

The service was surprisingly good for a restaurant in the heart of bellaire.  If you are looking for this place it's on the Sinh Sinh side of the street the opposite side of the big green building.  It's in the back right corner of the shopping center as you are facing it from bellaire.

There aren't that many tables so don't swarm them with a big group.  It takes about 15-20 minutes per pizza so I would also suggest ordering all the pizzas at the beginning instead of adding on as you go.

They also do serve Teas and Tapioca but I didn't try this myself.  They will be honest with their recommendations so it doesn't hurt to ask questions.

I think my stomach has a new favorite unique pizza joint.

If I could give 6 stars, I would.

This place lives up to all the hype, and without a doubt this is one of my new favorite spots.

The pizza was delicious. Two 10" pizzas were enough for me and my girlfriend, and we ordered the Kung Pao Chicken Pizza (no peanuts) and the Black Pepper Beef Pizza. Both were very good, but our favorite was the Black Pepper Beef. The crust was thin and delicious, NY Style I think. You don't feel all bloated and greasy after eating their pizza.

And the service was OUTSTANDING. The owner of the shop (mama) came out multiple times to check on us. She even got me more ice for my canned soda at one point without me even asking. The daughter came out and introduced herself, and thanked us for coming. Wait a second; is this REALLY happening on BELLAIRE? Am I DREAMING right now? Don't get me wrong, I eat at Pho Saigon, FuFu Café, Givral Hoang, and other spots on Bellaire all the time. But "service" at those places has taken on a different meaning, and I'm cool with that. I know what to expect when I walk in. But the folks at Cheese Berry made me feel like I was royalty.

At the end of the day, the food is what keeps me coming back to places. But the service also plays a big role because I like to know that I'm supporting people and families that I actually LIKE. There is no question that I will be returning here a LOT and I'm telling all my friends about it. Wish I could've made the Yelp UYE here, but better late than never!

The Green Curry Chicken pizza does taste like authentic thai green curry.  It's very good, but since it's quite spicy, the flavor can be a bit lost because of the spices!  The Black Pepper Beef is very good... sweet but peppery, and the Mushroom Delight (different types of mushrooms on there, all very moist and flavorful) has a sweet yet savory taste.  My favorite would probably have to be the Mushroom Delight, but if you need some meat, I'd recommend the Black Pepper Beef (beef, onions, mushroom).  The crust here is a very thin, crispy sesame concoction that IS crispy through the WHOLE thing... none of that "soggy-in-the-middle" problem that afflicts some lesser pizza establishments.   The cheese on the pizza here is soft, but not goopy (see: pizza hut).  I could see this pizza being good  when served cold, as a midnight treat!

I've also had the sweet potato fries (there's a lot of it)- crispy baked outer crust with soft sweet potato inside.  If you're on a date and want to try more than one flavor of pizza, I'd recommend getting two 10" pizzas.  They're not able to split the pizza flavors (on one pizza) given the fact that different sauces/meats cook at different temperatures and rates.  The ladies that run this establishment are SO nice and always have a smile on their face!   Personally... I think they need to open a Cheese Berry INside the loop!

i have been craving pizza for a long time and today i finally got my fix and i was absolutely surprised by just how great the pizzas here were. I got the spicy kimchi bulgogi and the green curry chicken. YUM. the crust was thin and crunchy and the unique flavors from the toppings were delicious. this is the first place ive been to where they have a fusion of asian dishes and made it into a perfectly baked pizza.

I personally enjoyed the spicy kimchi pizza more than the green curry chicken. but my friends thought other wise so i would say that either way, you will be sure to find a pizza that you will love.

I went for lunch so the prices were very affordable. The 10 inch on average was $6 and the 14 in was about $8-$10. Not bad at all for the portion you get. and also you get a free drink with every pizza you order. The ladies working at the place are super sweet and was constantly checking up on us.

I havent gotten the chance to try the deserrt pizzas yet but from the taste of the regular pizzas, i cant wait to return.

Cheese Berry you make me happy.

After having tried the Chilantro Korean/Mexican fusion food truck visiting Austin (they serve stuff like bugolgi/kimchee pico de gallo tacos) it left me coming back to Houston always hoping for something comparable here.  I thought I had found it when I ordered the Korean tacos at CPK only to be disappointed when they brought out two tacos the size of dumplings.  Not satisfied.  Until now.  When I heard about the Bugolgi/Kimchee pizza at Cheese Berry I immediately had to try it and its lived up to everything I've heard raves about.  The flavor is on point, kimchee is fresh and the crust is just how I like it... thin, crispy, not dry.  The only suggestion I might add is more yummy bugolgi meat.

Also tried the Green Curry Chicken Pizza.... also equally delicious.  One small pizza is more than enough for one person and we even had leftovers to take home after.  I can't wait to try some of the other things on the menu like the Black Pepper Beef or Three Cup Chicken Pizza.

The cute ladies working working the front are so sweet!  They always carried a smile and very attentive in checking to see if you were satisfied with your order or needed anything else which is a rarity off Bellaire sometimes.

I'd definitely recommend this place and can't wait to try out the rest of their menu.

The name might sound a little odd to you, but the pizzas are definitely not!  You might not think to mix Asian foods/flavors with American style pizza, but it really does make pizza taste even better.  Stephen Y and I decided to face the freezing, crazy cold temperatures to check out this new pizza place in Chinatown.  We read through most of the Yelp reviews, and we decided to order 2 pizzas.  Here are my thoughts:

    - Spicy Kimchi Bulgogi Pizza:  Definitely a little on the spicy side for me, but I am weak when it comes to eating spicy foods.  I thought it had a lot of Korean flavors, and overall, it was pretty good.  A thing to note here is that they use pork bulgogi, not beef bulgogi, so for all the people out there that do not eat pork, don't order this dish!  Also, when I tasted the pork bulgogi itself, it was actually a little sweet which is how bulgogi should taste.  Kudos to making bulgogi the right way.

    - Black Pepper Beef Pizza:  Our Kimchi Bulgogi pizza had come out first, so my mouth was pretty hot by the time this one came out.  The black pepper on this pizza made it kind of spicy as well, but overall, I thought this pizza definitely tasted like black pepper beef.

Overall, I liked the spicy kimichi bulgogi better than the black pepper beef.  All of their pizzas are made with a thin crust, so that is a plus in my book.  Next time, we plan to order a spicy pizza and a sweeter pizza to balance out the spiciness!  The restaurant owners are very nice and courteous when it comes to customer service.  Since I work pretty close to Chinatown, this will definitely be in the lunch mix!

Me & the bff ate here since we're heard some great things about it. It was pretty crowded inside so we had to sit at a small table near the bathroom. It took a long time to get a menu or for anyone to ask us what we wanted to drink. Then things got better. They cleared out another table and the wait staff was actually really nice from every moment onward.

We ordered the spicy kimchi bulgogi pizza, sweet potato fries & fried bread pudding bites. The sweet potatoes came out first and I was not impressed. It seemed like it was missing something, like salt. The pizza came out and it smelt heavenly. We took our first bite and was instantly addicted. It was savory and not too spicy. We didn't finish the pizza even though we ordered a small (10"). The bread pudding bites were awesome! It was nice and fried on the outside but warm and gooey on the inside. It tasted more like french toast but nonetheless is on my dessert list.

I'm definitely coming back here in the future.

wow! yelpers, you were right again. The pizza here is a great combo between Chinese food and American pizza. We ordered the kung pao chicken and the pork bolgogi with kimchi. I would advise taking off the peppers from the kung pao, they're super hot! The kimchi (pickled cabbage) is a bit sour but pairs well with the salty bulgogi.

I also had the passion fruit tea and thankfully I told the waitress that I don't like it too sweet. Sometimes they put too much syrup in the tea.

I highly recommend this unique find!

So the woman and I recently decided to check this place out.
We ordered the Kimchi and the Black Pepper Pizza's.

What I found was that the execution of their intended goal was spot on.   Personally I think the Kimchi Pizza needed more Kimchi flavor, but there was a balance to it.   As with the Black pepper pizza both seemed to balance themselves quite well.     I am also a fan of thicker crusts so for me to think that the crust was appropriate might suggest they are doing something right.

Now no review I write that isn't 5 stars will be completely positive.
I do think there is room for improvement.   I won't go into the asthetics of the place, I would suggest something on the walls to break some of the noise down(too many exposed hard surfaces).   But I will say that I think given some run time that this will turn out to be a favorite break from the norm.

Now should some Thai pepper basil be introduced... well that's just a whole new arena.

I also noticed you can get some of the same items for lunch as you can for dinner at a very reduced cost.   So if you are extremely budget sensitive, go during lunch.

I'm horny for the pizza here.  My virgin experience here was when they first opened.  My cousin and I walked in not knowing what to expect.  We ended up getting one of the most delectable exotic pizzas ever, the Spicy Kimchi Bulgolgi.

My body is made to eat fire and lava, so personally I would add a bit more spice like chili sauce or peppers.  But don't get me wrong, that pizza is already delicious in itself.  The second time around we got a seafood satay medley which was good as well... but be warned, EAT IT while it's still piping hot!  Warmed/baked seafood tends to develop a mild fishy odor and taste once it cools off.

The dough here is awesome.  I am very surprised to how semi chewy, crisp and tasty each pizza crust is like.  The crust is not too oily and thin enough to allow you to enjoy the goodness on top of the bread.  Our waitress recommended we try the Green Curry Chicken pizza next time around.  I may just have to do that.  This place is ZING

I have been to Cheese Berry a few times and I've never been let down. I haven't found another place like this in Houston, and enjoy coming when I find myself craving both American and Asian food.

So far I've had the Kimchi Bulgolgi Pizza, the Green Curry Chicken Pizza, and the Sweet Seafood Pizza. If you are a fan of Kimchi, the Kimchi Bulgolgi is the pizza for you, however, if you don't like the semi spicy and sour taste of kimchi you most likely won't like this. The Green Curry Chicken pizza was also really good and tasted just like green thai curry which I happen to love. It is a bit spicy, so watch out! The Sweet Seafood pizza was my least favorite of the three. It has a strong sweet mayo taste, and near the end it was a bit overwhelming. It was good, but after the second slice I didn't want anymore. The Bleu Cheese Poppers are also quite good if you are a fan of spicy food. And for the drinks, I like the milk tea, but the Yakult with Green Tea was almost tasteless.

I love the service they provide here. It's a very small restaurant and every time I go there is just one lady and I believe her mother. The younger lady is very nice and welcoming.

An Asian pizza place, squished in the Golden Foods Supermarket shopping center behind Sihn Sihn and San Dong and across the street from Cafe 101.  It's on the end of the strip occupied by Chinese Kitchen.  I am spelling this out because Google Maps LIES when it gives you directions, do not go down Corporate, just drive towards the back of the shopping center.

Whew, okay.  Food.  It's delightful.  The crust is thin and crispy, sort of reminiscent of won ton or egg roll dough, rolled out and baked.  Which happily compliments the variety of Asian toppings.  The Kim Chi Bulgolgi pizza is appropriately Kim Chi ish, and the Seafood Satay pizza was also quite good.   Yes, you can get standard pizza with standard toppings but ...why? It takes a little while for it to come out, but they're making to order.

SO don't miss the "small bites" portion of the menu, which has delicious chinese style wings (salt and pepper and fried to order.  it's so simple, but so good).  All of the other things looked really tasty too - spicy chicken and bleu cheese bites, sweet potato fries.

And there's dessert pizza!  Which smelled SO good from the other group.  Not like, cinnamon stick and frosting encrusted standards, but berries or chocolate and strawberry or peanut butter and marshmallow.  We saw people come in JUST for the dessert pizza and we will definitely give it a try next time we come!

The service is so sweet.  Don't be intimidated at all by going into the deepest darkest parts of Chinatown - the staff is all too happy to explain the menu, give recommendations and are almost doting.  They care about their business and care about making it work.  The nice girl behind the counter chased us outside in the cold because we forgot our receipt.

In conclusion.  Funny name.  Wonderful Staff.  Tasty Food.

When I think of "Green Curry Chicken", "Black Pepper Beef", or "Satay Seafood", I think of Asian dishes. However, not in a million years I would associate them to pizza toppings... Yet, Cheese Berry, a new humble restaurant in Houston Chinatown, makes these Asian pizzas with such confidence taste!

My first time around, I ordered the "Spicy Kimchi Pork Bulgogi", which is Cheese Berry's most popular pizza according to an online voting on their website. The first bite gives you such a kick in the mouth! I usually cannot eat spicy, but this was bearable (I would say it was a little bit less than mild spicy). For $8.50, you get the smallest portion (10"). The crust is very thin and crispy, tasting almost like crackers. There are also classic pizzas on their menu such as the "Supreme", "Hawaiian", and "BBQ Chicken"; however, if you're in for a culinary adventure then dare to try the Asian specialty pizzas! I also had a mocha smoothie (it was done by request since it's not on the menu), which tasted excellent as well. I would definitely come back to try the other specialties, including the sweets. I've read rave reviews about the "Honey Peach Pie".

The tiny restaurant feels like a mom and pop kind of shop, which adds even more charm to the place. The lady behind the counter explained to me all the favorite items on the menu considering it was my first visit. Overall, the service was quick and friendly at best. Last but not least, the restaurant accepts major credit cards, which is a plus since Asian stores usually only accept cash!

So many of my friends hyped up the kimchi bulgogi pizza, but after I tried it, I was let down. :( Being a korean, I knew I had to take this to the taste test! I didn't find that the kimchi was super fresh or great as the lady said it was nor was the bulgogi! Was that even bulgogi???

sighs...that red sauce that's not on the pizza, although the lady says its special sauce, I'm pretty sure it's not siracha sauce! It tasted like the korean red pepper paste sauce, but it's still a hot debate between me and my friends. No wonder why the lady says it's secret sauce.  But you know what, where else can you get kimchi and bulgogi pizza unless you make it yourself. :)

I definitely found the green curry chicken pizza my favorite! Go with a group of friends, order as many pizzas as you can and share the flavors~ Best bang for the buck!

Oh and I didnt leave the restaurant feeling a tad bit guilty for eating pizza! The crust was light and crunchy and overall a tasty meal that filled me up. :) So all in all, cheeseberry - I am a fan! :)

I love the concept and adore the sweet ladies in the front who made us feel at home as soon as we came in. So much so, in fact, that I feel kind of bad by saying I only liked the pizzas.

Maybe we just chose pizzas that didn't exactly agree with my taste buds (Seafood Satay, Kung Pow Chicken). Maybe, the "essence" of a great pizza is lost when it's scrunched into a 10" pie. Maybe, I had really high expectations coming in. In any case, I really hope the ladies don't hold it against me.

If it helps, Selina, who generally hates pizza and only agreed to go on account of my recent birthday, loved everything about the place including the Peach Green Tea, Seafood Satay Pizza, and the PB, Banana & Marshmallow Dessert Pizza. Also, a word of advice, there is no comparison between the fresh product and the leftover cold version so those of you who've only had it to go might want to have a proper visit.

3 stars. But, I'll try the other flavors and the larger sizes before closing the book on Cheese Berry. I really want them to grab that 4th star!

I was really surprised how good the pizza actually was.  The Spicy Kimchi Bulgolgi Pizza was great.  It was pork instead of ribeye, but the taste mixed really well.  The Black Pepper Beef was also tasty.  We didn't get to try any dessert pizza after because four of the ten inch pizzas fed our party of five without issue.  I'm not a fan of basil or curry so I can't really comment on the other two flavors we got.

It is a tiny place so don't take big crowds.  The service, while nice, was slow because it appeared to just be a single family running the place.  The soda drinks were limited to Sprint and A&W Rootbeer which was odd, but I love root beer...so.

I was taken here for the frist time, thinking that this is a dessert place. then i was told it's Korean pizza... pizza with Kimchi.. sounds scary... but as soon as i took my frist bite, i  fell in love.
We got the Beef Bulgogi with Kim Chi and the Sweet Seafood, and both are great. I would definitely come back.

PROS: great food and great service.

CONS: place is small so it gets packed when they are busy. and don't bother getting  any drinks/milk tea/etc (it's not any good). just get water.

Wow, I finally agree with my fellow yelpers for a change!  Usually I go and I am quite the opposite on what people say is good.

Didn't feel like venturing out too much today b/c I wasn't that hungry.  So just stuck to the most popular one- Spicy Kim Chi Bulgogi.  Mmmm..hit the spot.  It was sweet yet a little spicy but nonetheless savory.  We also had the sweet potato fries which were a good amount as well.

I think for two people with small appetites just go with the 10" pizza but if you are really hungry or have 3 people, the 14" would be a good size which is 8 slices.  I thought the crust was not too thin but not thick either...it was just perfect.  I was recommended the peach green tea.  It was good but a little too sweet.

The ladies here were really sweet and accommodating since they kinda knew it was our first time.  We came here around 8:00 on a Saturday night so it wasn't really busy, which is good b/c the place is tiny!  Literally it seats maybe 20-25 people max.   I will try their sweet pizzas after lent.  ;)
