2 reviews for Cheeca Lodge & Spa
i spent exactly 24 wonderful hours at the cheeca lodge this weekend. i met my girlfriend and some of her friends that were there for a conference thingy... so i'm not sure what the cost was since i wasn't the one paying.
the cheeca lodge was great. our room was very clean. the outside of the building is nothing to write home about, but the room's interiors were very nice. not necessarily my style... more keys tropical (without the typical cheesy colors and patterns). the bathroom was very nice. i loved the shower with like 4 heads. and i loved the bath that actually opened to the room by way of a sliding glass door.
i think the real winner is the grounds though. the grounds were beautiful. palms everywhere. lush, perfectly manicured foliage. a river that runs around the entire property. beautiful wood decks that go out over lagoons. little lights shooting up from the ground and water. the property was beautiful, especially at night. we spent a good few hours staring at the stars (and drinking!) on lounge chairs on the deck over the lagoon by our room.
the beach, pool were wonderful as well. service was impeccable. i seriously cannot say one bad thing about the service. every person from the towel guy, to the pool side server, to the sports equipment rental lady, to the maids... everyone was eager to help and please us.
so why the four stars... well, i haven't checked the price yet, but i have a feeling, it's a bit of change. if you have the money and are looking for a relaxing stay OR you're just a freeloader like me, cheeca lodge just might be the place for you.
