This place I really enjoy looking at things and the wide variety of stuff they have! After pricing places to purchase a handgun, I found mine there and was very happy with the customer service! They helped me out a lot ! I would recommend this place to people I know. Anytime I need ammo or any kind of accessory or just a particular item, it would be at this store! The prices r right for things!

CDT is an interesting place. You can find lots of guns and gun accessories here which isn't really my thing, but sometimes they have good deals on military surplus items. I have picked up a couple of first-aid kits and glow sticks here in the past.
Yesterday I was in the market for a knife and some pepper spray. I was asked several times while perusing near the gun counter if I needed help to which I declined. But when I was in the pepper spray section, there was no one to be found. I finally asked a girl working there what her best recommendation was and if they had pepper spray that shot at any angle. She said I needed to ask one of the guys because she had no idea.
I finally asked a guy that I had seen in numerous occasions over the years. He was helpful in telling me the differences of the various formulas and any drawbacks.
I was pretty disappointed to not find the kind of knife I wanted at what I felt was a "cheap" price point. But hey, that is what the internet is for.
Word of caution, I signed up for their catalog years ago and noticed I was getting mail completely out if the blue from the NRA. It turns out that CTD did share my info to other organizations which ticked me off... enough that it took me a few years to shop here again after having to contact several places to get me off their lists.
I would also suggest that they redesign their website for better ease of use. All in all though, I don't see how this place stands out in any one area. -

It was an exciting place to be in as there is a lot merchandise in here. The prices are competitive but they are not Cheaper Than Dirt, and I mean that in a sensible way. I would say Academy is just as cheap or cheaper but of course they don't have the selection. If your into Military and self survival then this is your place. Safety glasses are high here I thought and ammo was the same price as anywhere else.

The place was VERY crowded. Parking sucks.
No one spoke to me...I had a hard time finding what I needed. Of the 3 items that I was looking for, I only found one.
I prefer Cabella's...but CTD is closer so I will probably go back. -

First of all a reminder to everyone that this Cheaper Than Dirt Outdoor Adventures brick and mortar is not the same as http://CheaperThanDirt...
With that out of the way I wanted to say I really like this place because of their selection and their catalog desk. Without that this would be just another gun shop that some people would say is too expensive only because they're comparing it to shopping online. Grab a catalog and chat up the guys at the desk. They're great about answering questions and letting you see what's in the catalog and those prices are very competitive to the other online stores without guessing what you're getting or shipping charges. -

Great place! Prices are very competitive. I found out the hard way that the store is not the same as the online store and may not have the products you are wanting. However, there is a catalog counter in the back where you can find many (not all) of the items on the website and catalog. I would recommend calling to see if they have what you want before making a trip to the store.

This store rocks! They have the most amazing customer service. They always return your calls and they are very helpful and responsive.
Their prices are amazing and the products are good quality. And if you have any issues - my backpack strap had a hole in it - they offered to give me some money back on my credit card or ship me a replacement and I had the replacement in two days.
They feed my army green (olive drab) and camouflage habit! Whee! -

CTD is one of my go-to online destinations for gear and I must say, they've never failed to deliver on time for a good price. A lot of people complain about them, but I guess everybody needs something to bitch about. From me, nah, no complaints...CTD does their job and does it well.

I recently ordered a tapco g2 trigger group with retainer plate from this company- and I triple friggin checked my order before placing it online. Later the order comes and it it minus the retainer plate. I check my order and it seems they removed the online ad listed and now try to sell the plate separately, and to top it off they raise the price on this item literally within a few days after placing the order.
So one they changed my order without even a call, email, or notification of altering my order.
Two, they did not even call me or email me to offer a refund.
And now after I call them to fax them my order reciept which clearly shows a retainer plate included in the product- they did not even decide to send it- as any normal business man would do- and now they are offering a refund after I called and emailed and faxed them my issue.
The shipping was also excessively high for this item- it is very small yet they charged me like 13 bucks just to ship.
I will never buy from these guys again. If I could give them 0 stars I would
