This place has some of THE coolest clothes I've ever seen. There's pretty much something for everyone. And the staff is SO helpful and friendly.
My daughter loves vintage clothes and I took her to Cheap Thrills to buy a dress for a formal school dance. She couldn't find exactly what she wanted downstairs, so the lady helping her brought us upstairs to the rental section. By the time my daughter was done, she looked like Marilyn Monroe at Madison Square Garden for JFK's b-day. She looked amazing! Maybe a bit much for a high school dance in some people's opinion, but fk-it, she looked GREAT!

Cheap Thrills is a great place to go for a costume rental in the sense of a real costume not a pre-fab Halloween get-up.  

You've driven by and rubber-necked them a dozen or more times - don't lie.  Stop the car and get out!  Take a look, they don't bite.

They have a ton of cool vintage clothes like Victorian through 50's urban, renaissance fair type clothes, plus burlesque type stuff and the like.  Lots of accessories like cowboy hats, Viking helmets, feather boas, gun-belts, whips and chains.  

They aren't full-on Halloween party store like Evangeline's, but better for the random costume party or other weird dress-up occasions.  (Don't tell me about your kinky habits, I don't want to know.)  

Staff are urban modern fun types with no pretensions - just plenty of tattoos and piercings and parrot colored hair dyes.  Fun - and very helpful.

It's a great store to just go look around.  Take a half hour at lunch and go look through the racks - you won't be disappointed.

For costume rentals and "party clothes" Cheap Thrills is one of the best places in Sacramento to go.

Upstairs Nate is super-helpful... .I've rented many a costume from him and he's always got great ideas and suggestions on how to make things work.

Dowstairs there's a mix of used, vintage, new fetishy/burlesque stuff along with the fun novelty stuff (giant sunglasses, rhinestone flasks, etc.).

Definately not the place to go if you want something on the cheap-- but if you're looking for a good deal on something AMAZING, this is the place to go.

The place is staffed by hottie hipsters, but not the kind that make you feel lame for exisiting. They're always helpful and courteous.

Cheap Thrills is a great way to spend a lazy afternoon browsing for that "perfect score"....

I mean, who can really resist a purple building with flames?
