A buddy brought these cheesecake poppers to a white elephant exchange and I fell in LOVE upon first bite! These taste way better than cheesecake factory or even Juniors in NYC. I don't know what heaven tastes like, but this MUST COME CLOSE. I can't believe it took so long for me to make a personal visit. This place is a little bit far a drive for me, but totally worth it.
When I walked in, Charlie was helping out another customer. I've read the reviews on how nice and social he was and witnessed it myself. However, their conversation dragged on and I wanted to interrupt them so badly because I was already running late for work, but I didn't want to be rude so I waited.
Charlie to me looked like a mad scientist with his glasses and white overcoat. We started talking and here is what I found out so yelpers read this below:

There's a yelp deal right now! I just got 35 cheesecake poppers for $19.99!!! This is a great deal so come get them ASAP.
Another tip: EAT THESE FROZEN. They aren't very good when they're soft.

Charlie was really nice - great service and a friendly smile make a huge difference. He's very accommodating!
I got the poppers and so far, they are great! Have tried a couple of them and they are yum. Will definitely order more for future parties and events.

The first time I called Charlie to ask when he closed, he told me "What time can you be here? I'll wait for you"! I was so pleasantly surprised to hear that kind of an answer because most people in San Jose are in such a hurry. I love the fact that he is always there when I come in and is the one who answers the phone. He is always very friendly and upbeat.
I've ordered the cheesecake poppers for potlucks, Thanksgiving, Christmas and other parties we've had and everyone always loves them. I'm very proud to tell them that they are from Charlie's Cheesecake Works right here in my neighborhood. It's always a good feeling to support local businesses and supporting Charlie is truly a pleasure.
I was impressed when I picked up my order for Thanksgiving because he had me sign on his iPad and asked me if I wanted my receipt Emailed to me. High tech, yet a very down home feeling in the shop. The best of both worlds! -

Don't get me wrong, the cheesecake here is delicious, but I think the real treat is the actual Charlie of Charlie's cheesecake.
Being a first timer there, Charlie was very welcoming and very friendly (even though he made me struggle with some simple math problems in order to try some samples). He continued to be amusing and offered a couple discounts for us since we were introduced from yelp was a plus!
the store also seems pretty darn high tech for a mom & pop store as they embrace new technology such as square trade for mobile credit card payments.
Onto the food...
The cheesecake poppers were da bomb, each "pop" was a mini firework in my mouth. the poppers are creamy and each flavors is subtly delicious and distinct. I ordered the 35pc assortment and was not disappointed.
I would definitely come back to try their other cheesecake varieties (maybe even order from their website as they do shipping) and would recommend!
But to be fair though, I have had much better cheesecakes, but the place is just so awesome that is deserves 5/ 5 overall ... and I have not tried everything yet... -

mos def a wonderful wonderful shop! Charlie is a very kind and customer service is very important to him. Cheesecake is to die for! multiple flavors for you to try and the portions are great! The rule is you have to try it before you but it! Love this place!!

This place is ridiculous... really? Cheesecake poppers? These things are dangerous. They're so small you can eat one of each of them. I tried to be civil and split a popper with the Canadian but it was taking too much time.. just pop it in my mouth already (ok.. maybe a big mouthful, but you get what I'm sayin'...)!
Rewind a couple hours, we arrived at the shop and were asked if we had ever been there before. Much to our delighted surprise, Charlie has a "Try before you buy!" policy.. OKIE DOKIE! I had the pumpkin and the Canadian had the key lime. Good Lawd they were good! The pumpkin was creamy and the key lime had some kick! They were goooooood!!!!
We went in with the hopes of walking out with two dozen, but after we sampled, we ended up buying a Party Platter. Two dozen for our party and one dozen for us! Sweet!
Got home and couldn't help but pop the blueberry one in my mouth! So yummy! The texture is just so smooth and creamy and the flavors are just the perfect compliment! The berries are the best but my favorite has to be the strawberry: just a perfectly balanced strawberry cheesecake bite(s) of heaven... and of course, the key lime. The key lime is definitely a winner!

I accidentally came across Charlie's Cheesecake Works looking for the latest deals on Yelp. Being that I LOVE cheesecake I immediately swiped the deal and drove to the location. Charlie was very welcoming, he joked with both my daughter and I, and was very friendly. Not only are the Cheesecake poppers delicious the customer service is beyond exceptional. I will come back!

I decided to surprise my bf with a sweet surprise one day since I know how much he loves cheesecake!
I went on their website to check out a menu and found out that you can also place orders online. So I ordered a dozen assorted cheesecake poppers. I was also able to print a coupon for one free mini cheesecake with any $5 purchase online.
Charlie's Cheesecake is located in a really old shopping center and the place was actually smaller than I imagined. I was picturing a full on bakery, but this place is more modest. Once you walk in there is basically only a few feet between the front door and the counter where you order/pick up your order. The day I went in, Charlie wasn't there but two friendly workers were there to greet me and help me with my order. I told one of the girls that I had ordered online, but she told me that their website/email wasn't working so they didn't get my order. But it didn't matter since they have a lot of the poppers in stock.
Another thing I wasn't expecting was for the cheesecake poppers to be frozen. When the girl was filling my order all she did was pull a small box out of the freezer behind her. I also handed her my coupon for a free mini cheesecake and decided to get the chocolate cheesecake as my free mini cheesecake. The sticker on the front of the box says you're supposed to keep them in the freezer for storage. The bf ate the cheesecake poppers right out of the freezer and also after they thawed and he liked them more when they were thawed. I only tried the strawberry popper after it was thawed and I thought they were pretty good. I like how they are bite size so that they are easy to eat and you can also try a bunch of the flavors since you don't feel as guilty for eating such a small piece. The cheesecake poppers also have a creamy rich consistency after they have been thawed. YUM!
The bf and his sister LOVED the poppers. Mission accomplished! These would be great for parties! -

Scrumptious! Delicious! These are only a couple of the words to properly describe Charlie's Cheesecake Works. I love walking into the storefront because everyone is always so friendly. I love how they are always up to date technology, offering new ways to stay updated with the shop.
I recommend buying one of the bigger boxes and throwing it in the freezer so you always have some at your fingertips! -

Charlie is such a sincere person and he knows his way around a mean cheesecake, oooh...... They're so creamy. The chocolate, key lime and Silicon Valley classic are my favorite. Although, they're. ALL. VERY. GOOD.
I love the consistency, the delicate design, the texture is just perfect, the size/portion are wonderfully thought out and the natural ingredients make these little poppers a phenomenon.
Enjoy them slowly. When it hits your palate, there's no word........ It's the little things in life like this that are always memorable. Doesn't matter where I am. When I think cheesecake, I think Charlie. -

I'm not a huge fan of cheesecake in general, but this place is awesome and deserves 5 stars.
I've come in here twice, and both times Charlie gave me (along with four of my friends) free cheesecake. That alone deserves five stars in my opinion...
Anyway, the first time I came here, I was planning on buying some cheesecake poppers and bringing them down to Los Angeles as a gift. I had no idea the poppers were frozen,and I told Charlie of my plans, so he gave me a free insulated bag and ice pack. When I arrived in Los Angeles five hours later, the poppers were still frozen and very delicious. Every flavor was very very good, the crust at the bottom is very very good. Like I said, I am not really a cheesecake fan, but I am definitely a fan of Charlie's cheesecakes. -

Just finishing up my fourth cheesecake bite as I am writing this review....
i LOVE this place! The cheesecake is fresh and not so heavy so I can eat eat eat without stopping. Definitely prefer this over cheesecake factory. Also, the guy is super nice which makes you like it even more.
I don't live near San Jose but I found out that he sells the poppers at the fremont Costco too. I will definitely check that out soon. -

Tried the plain classic poopers and they were great! I felt 6 poppers for $6 was a bit pricey...order more and they do get cheaper. The poppers are tiny at 1oz, so you can try different flavors. I thought they were too tiny to really enjoy, so I going to try the 4oz size for $4. Again, still $1 an oz, but I'd rather support mom and pop shops! Almost done with my first round of p90x and Charlie's is going to be my 90 day reward!!!

Sooo good...especially when their cold from staright from the fridge.
We had these for our monthly birthday party at work and a co-worker brought them in, it was perfect.
Bite-size (3 bites actually), no messing cutting, not many leftovers or messy clean-up afterwards and you can get an assorted box with many flavors.
My favorite was Raspberry and Amaretto. -

The poppers are addictive and absolutely delicious. I bought the box of 35 poppers and it was a hit! I had friends over and we all couldn't stop eating them (even though we went to a buffet for dinner). Strawberry, cappuccino, and the original were the favorites. They're not as heavy as the ones at cheesecake factory. Now, all my friends are planning to order some to share with their family.

This place is the definition of a "Ma and Pa" shop! I'd say that you have to try the chocolate chip cheesecake popper and the vanilla.
Mention its your first time, and the owner will give you a free cheesecake popper to try! Served frozen. If you let them thaw a bit, they taste much better!! -

This 5 star rating is based solely on cheesecake. This is because my boyfriend was the one who went to the store and bought the cheesecake but he told me that Charlie was extremely friendly and since my boyfriend was a new customer Charlie had him sample a cheesecake bite first and then gave him a new customer discount- so it sounds pretty good.
Now...the cheesecake- WOW. I would have to say these are SUPER good!! There's so many different flavors too! I love how they're just bite-size so they're not too much- oftentimes when you eat cheesecake it's such a huge slice that by the 3rd or 4th forkful you're already feeling full and kind of sick of the cheesecake (like you're continuing to eat it just cause it's there but not really tasting it anymore) but these bite-sized ones are PERFECT plus they're all different flavors so if you're tired of one flavor you can move on and try another flavor.
If you buy them frozen though you have to really wait for them to thaw out and soften before eating them though- I got a little too excited and anxious and bit into a half-frozen one and it took away some of the magic HAHA- so yeah, really thaw them out first. The graham cracker base is just the perfect mix of crunchy and soft- all I can say is, it's totally worth trying- it is SO good. -

Went back to Charlie's yesterday!
We decided to get the poppers again but with 6 cappuccino and 6 plain.
Ironically, Boyfriend hates coffee but LOVES the cappuccino. It has the perfect balance of coffee and cream cheesey-ness.
5 stars for both plain and cappuccino.

OMG THE POPPERS ARE A JOY ON A TRAY ; )
we went there using a special coupon but we upgraded to the 35 PC poppers. each popper were in mini cupcake liners with creamy flavored cream cheese and with delicate designs (I'm sure to distinguish each flavors) Each one is a bite of heaven and we feel less guilty then a big slice and for us its enough to fill our cravings for the minute lol.
We met Charlie and was very friendly.
We told him his poppers are "joy on a tray" and he smiled and chuckled.
We will be back super soon to try his other multitude of delicious flavors. -

love love LOVE these little bite sizes yummys. I usually don't say yummy ... but in this circumstance.. i have to. IT WAS SO FREAKING YUMMY. I am not limited to finishing just ONE flavor of cheesecake due to the size (ie: Cheesecake factory's cheesecake slices.) HERE at Charlie's they're small and delightful. I can have a strawberry and pick up a blueberry 2 min later (or a few secs later)
Favorites so far: Keylime, Strawberry, Blueberry, and Raspberry
its addicting. Costco at various locations have them too! for $19 i can get a really nice selection and bring it right home and hoard it in my freezer.

Oh Charlie!!! Your cheesecake poppers are really deeeelicous, especially for the price! Not only is he extremely friendly, his only rule there is that you have to try before you buy! Now that's how you run a business!
He has vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, key lime, and cappuccino, which was my favorite. I wanted pumpkin but he doesn't start making them until august :(
6 poppers for $5.75 but if you tell him you found him through yelp he takes off $.75! So 6 for $5?! DONE DEAL! I'm happy fatty :) -

This place is amazing! I haven't heard of this place until the CBS coupon came out, but definitely glad I gave it a try. The owner is extremely friendly and personable, offering samples and answering your questions patiently. I took home two trays of the cheesecake poppers, one for my sisters and one for my friend and all of them absolutely loved the poppers (I'm sure they'll visit this place on their own soon now). They're rich but not too heavy, and with the variety included in the pack, there's one to meet every taste bud. The poppers make a great gift or ending to your dinner. I plan on picking these little guys up every time I'm in the SJ area now.

I can't believe this little gem is still here! Saw the poppers at Costco in Sunnyvale the other day and bought a box. Same delicious poppers! Will definitely be back to visit the home base and get mom a full sized cheesecake next time I'm in San Jose.
I used to come here all the time as a senior in high school and absolutely loved the service and the poppers. It was tiny, clean, and full of neighborly cheer. Back then I went through having hot pink and red hair and teenage angst, and the service was still great! Any place that can make a 17 year old a repeat customer for 9+ years must have something going for them! Poppers and price are still great! Can't wait to go back and sample the service and full size cheesecakes soon.

My best dropped me off a dozen of these delicious treats and I am hooked! I tried the strawberry, lime, original, and cappuccino and they are ALL GOOD! I wonder how many calories each popper has but they are so fresh and light! I have been eating one a day and savoring these cheesecake wonders. I will probably have to make my own trip someday soon for more! I do not know the pricing of these, but they make great gifts and fun party treats!

I came here today to redeem a certificate I bought with CBS Offers and got 2 packs of mini cheesecakes. They were already assorted and pre-packed.
When I walked in the door, a man approached me and asked what he could help me with. He was very friendly. I think he might have been Charlie (the owner). I told him I wanted to redeem the cert and handed it to him. He showed me what I was getting and asked me if I wanted to give him an extra $5 to get the cardboard box of 36. I kindly thanked him and said no because I was giving the 2nd pack to my boyfriend's family.
I didn't try the cheesecake until I got home. I tried the raspberry one and OH MY ...I was in love. The cheesecake was SO creamy and smooth. So fresh. I could definately taste the richness of the cream cheese.
I will definitely keep this place in mind next time a friend's birthday comes up! -

Today was the first day that I experienced Charlie's little pieces of heaven and my only comment is WOW!
I bought 3 packs of the variety mini cakes so I can share them and now I wish I would have bought more. These are now on my list of goodies to buy when we have parties or when we just want to say that today is a cheesecake type of day.
I went in with my daughter and the owner was wonderful, witty, and kind. He made us feel welcome and I think that alone is awesome. Charlie you are fabulous and I appreciate you sharing your love with the world! -

Yum yum in my tum tum!
The cheesecake bites are made to perfection. My favorites are blueberry, vanilla, and strawberry. I got a box of 35 "poppers" for $22.50 because I mentioned Yelp. The old man that works here is so sweet. He even offered us samples twice! I'm actually a little suspicious about him...I have a gut feeling that he's Charlie even though he pretends not to be.
I have been thinking about the poppers for months now. I think its time that I pay Charlie a visit hehe. -

Charlie's Cheesecake Works beats out Cheesecake Factory any day! I discovered this place by looking for a place specializing in cheesecake on yelp. Yelp led me to the right place! The place is pretty small, I thought it was going to be like a bakery type feel where you see cheesecakes in a display and pick whatever you want. It wasn't really like that, which made me kind of confused at first. Luckily, the guy working there was super friendly and helpful!
He asked if I had ever been there, since it was my first time he let me try one of the cheesecake poppers! Man, were they delicious. I ended up buying the 12 pack cheesecake poppers and he gave me $1 off for mentioning yelp! I wanted an assortment of flavors before I bought an actual cheesecake next time. They have great customer service to fit their wonderful tasting cheesecakes!
I think if I bought the 36 pack of poppers I would have killed the whole thing in a week! Their cheesecake is light, creamy and tastes like ice cream! There are so many flavors that I want to try all of them at once. I can't wait to buy one of their whole cheesecakes. There is a variety of tempting flavors to choose from. This place is awesome and highly recommended. The price for a cheesecake is worth it over a $40 cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. -

I have not been to the store but had actually come across the cheesecake poppers at a San Jose Costco in the frozen isle.
I gotta tell you, they are simply AMAZINGLY delish!! I think their even better than the cheesecake factory in fact. The Costco poppers came in an assortment of 35 bite sized flavors including, Strawberry, vanilla, blueberry, chocolate, cappuccino, key lime and raspberry. My favorites were especially the Strawberry, Vanilla and Key lime which stood out the most.
I HIGHLY recommend trying the cheesecake, especially since they you don't even have to order or take a separate trip and just grab some from the freezer (defrost for 15min at room temp) and do the rest of your shopping all in one place.
I am most definitely going to visit the actual location so I can have them fresh.
This is a MUST try!! Wow ;) -

A friend introduced me to Charlie's a few years ago during the holidays, and even thought I don't keep cheeseake readily available in the freezer (trouble!), whenever I crave it, I come here. The ck poppers are AMAZING! It's a box of 32 I believe for about 25 bucks or so and are worth every penny. My favorite one if the key lime. It's so light and creamy but not at the expense of being a bajillion calories. I do wonder how many cals each of these little suckers have though. Charlie, any insight???

I walked in a little after 5PM on a Saturday and I was scared they wouldn't serve me, I was a little frantic since I was planning on getting some cheesecakes for my friend's bday. Charlie was more than accommodating! He asked me if I was a first time customer and I said yes. He told me that it's a rule here that "you have to try before you buy", so I tried the key lime and my friend tried the chocolate. I love all the flavors! I also heard that there's a pumpkin flavor, don't know if that's true, but I guess I'll have to go back and check!

This place is an awesome find!
Got the 12 pack poppers before even trying anything, haha. Charlie (the super friendly owner) let us try a popper anyways and it was awesome. Tried the blueberry one and it was not overly sweet like it looked!
If you like multiple flavor choices, the poppers are a good mix of choice vs indulgence. I prefer these over eating one giant flavored cheesecake.
Oh yeah he also asked how I found out about the place and I mentioned Yelp, which got me a $1 discount. Would not have known otherwise. Also they use Square now.
Tip: I think they are meant to be kept in the freezer(?) Keeping it in the fridge made the poppers abit soft, but still delicious. :) -

A little bit out of the way for a drive, but hey, I've never seen 5 stars on yelp for so many reviews, so I HAD TO try this place.
They are known for their cheesecake poppers, which are pretty much little cheesecake cupcakes. I'm not sure if it's the idea of having a cheesecake in a cupcake that makes it so delicious, or is it the cheesecake flavors and taste themselves. EITHER WAY, it was delicious!!
So their rule: You can't buy it unless you taste it. hahaha, NICE. I wish it was like that everywhere we went. Charlie was a nice friendly man, and it felt so home-y in there. And he gave us a $1 off for mentioning Yelp.
We got two packs of 12 poppers to bring home, and one pack of 6 to try on the spot. It was so delicious, right out of the freezer! My favorites were the strawberry, vanilla, caramel, and chocolate. But everything else we tried were good too! We left them in the car while we went to eat dinner later, and I didn't get to put them in the freezer till hours later. But after I took them out to let the rest of the family try it, they were as good as before! Not to mention my whole family devoured it...
If only it was closer to SF, that would be...amazing... -

I had this place bookmarked for almost over a year, and ended up purchasing Charlie's Cheesecake at Costco to save myself a couple of bucks.
With so much anticipation, I wasn't too impressed.
Overall, my favorites were the Strawberry and Coffee. -

We purchased a coupon for $9.50 for 2 dozen of the cheesecake poppers. When we came on a Saturday, Charlie was there and gave us a free sample before purchasing. They were really good fresh out of the freezer.
We took the box to a Superbowl party and once they were left out for about 20 minutes, they weren't very good anymore.
Serve frozen and they'll be like little ice cream treats.
Would we go back? I'm not too sure we would. But it seems like our friends are all hooked, so Charlie will get some new business coming his way. :)
