If I were to pick a fight and have me a brawl in a bar, this would be at the bottom of my list.
I feel the vets front he neighboring housing would flip from their polite, quiet demeanor and snap my head off... returning at once to their beer and watching Price Is Right, mumbling to themselves.
Dug that 2 shots, a beer and a Crown was only $18... and cheap drinks are a great way to keep me from inciting any riots. -

Great prices and good times. A great local watering hole!

Dark dim dive bar in the middle of a shopping center close to my house and I couldn't be happier with it. Cheap drinks and blonde bartender cute enough to make me remember to go on Wednesday afternoons.

dude this place rocks the house... $1 beer night on Tuesdays along with $5 entry for beer pong tournie... daily happy hours of $2.50 for all well drinks and dollar-off all top shelf, meaning my favorite jack-n-diet is only $3.50!!
Must try the mind erasers... they are by far the best drink if you want to get toasted quickly and cheaply... :-D but be careful, they do work!!! mind... gone... um... wut?! where am i???? haha
Local dive bar for sure... a couple blocks from my house and love everything about it... amazing staff, friendly usual faces and all around fun time every time... my roommate likes to show up in his bath robe, yes, his bath robe, and sometimes slippers... and no one even flinches on entry... :-D
definitely one of those bars, like, say, CHEERS :-D -

I just made a list of dives in San Diego so I was quite curious as to what the reviews said about good ole Channel 1.

Your typical dive bar.
My aunt goes to Channel 1 every once in awhile to get her Karaoke fix on, and begs me to go with her each time.
Walking into this place, you can tell right away 75% of the customers are regulars. You can find any kind of person in this bar: young 20-somethings, middle-aged karaoke-goers, alcoholic senior citizens, peg-legged pirates who've lost a limb at sea (you think I'm joking?), and normal people who just don't want to deal with the Superficials of PB and the flashy club-goers of the Gaslamp.
The drinks are decently priced. This is the perfect bar to just sit, drink, chill, and take in a little people-watching. -

After "stalking" someone for no apparent reason. I ended up in this nice little trashy joint in the middle of nowhere.
My GPS led the way and I still missed it. I finally found it, and it was dead!
It was a monday night, so that might have been the reason.
There's a lot of games you can play here. I didn't try any of them. There was only a few guys in there, but they were all cool. All locals of course. The bartender was super cute, and very friendly. Another cute girl that wants to move to Seattle.
Beer is on the expensive side. Blue moon for 5.25 bucks.
Pretty cool dive bar. I'd definitely be back if I was in the area. Maybe before a Chargers game. -

Great bar if you like bar games. They have pool, darts and video games. Good bar for before and after sports games. I'd go back.

I go to this place because it is only a few blocks away from my place. A couple of the bartenders are very sweet. I give it a 3 star rating because of the convenient location.
This place is a dive bar which they try to pass off as a sports bar because of a bunch of sports posters obviously signed by whoever hung them up. Seriously look at the signatures, they all look alike!
They have a decent happy hour, a couple of pool tables and a juke box. Oh, but don't ask to turn up the juke box if there is a game on one of the tiny T.V.'s, because after all they are a sports bar.
OK i have to update this review because they did a little remolding and got a few nicer T.V.s. Although the place is a little more comfortable its basically the same place.Listed in: My Neighborhood

I haven't been to this place in ages. It was the first bar I went to when I turned 21 (because it's the closest one in my old neighborhood). We have some bartenders who dress up like they work for Foot Locker, and every night except Monday (because of Monday Night Football) they have karaoke.
Channel One is like any Uptown dive bar, but without the hipsters. This place caters to an older clientele (including some from the adjacent military housing). Also, I do not remember seeing any fights over there at Channel One. -

When I just feel like having a drink in a place that I feel comfortable in and wont get hassled by some horny dude that wants to rub his junk on my leg - I come here. It's a dive so don't expect anything spectacular to come dancing off the walls for you. They have a juke box for music and several tv's. There's a couple of pool tables and many regulars like to hang there. Stephanie is the best bartender on the planet. She will always remember your name and what you usually drink. It's seriously like cheers; after a while, everyone knows your name and they are glad you came. The drinks here are very cheap like they should be at a dive. I don't usually go on the weekends. I'm usually there during the week when I had a hard day at work and need a stiff drink. This is a good place to unwind. Plus, Tuesday is $1 beer night and Wednesday is $2 drink night for women. I know that they do karaoke on the weekends also. I like that there's plenty of parking since it's in a shopping center. And if you get the munchies while you're there, there's a good hawaiian place next door, or the pizza place across the way, or the taco shop across the way.
DO NOT DRIVE DRUNK It's down the street and around the corner from the local police station and the cops are always swingin by here. They have a good eye out for people that walk out of this bar. -

Fun neighborhood bar. Karaoke night is always cheesy but fun. I'm terrible at pool but I always have a great time playing there. No one makes you feel out of place.
