We ordered takeout from Chamber's Walk yesterday, and I was a bit disappointed in the pulled pork sandwich I ordered. If you like your pulled pork heavy on the vinegar, this sandwich might be right for you. If not, stay away!
The menu does appear to have a lot of options I'd go for, so I'm giving three stars for now instead of 2.
I am absolutely addicted to the build-your-own sandwich here. I get the tuna on focaccia with Gruyere-Swiss and herbed mayo. YUM! The soups are also delicious; I had the tomato the other day and it was so savory and wonderful, and served with crispy delicious crostini.
Free refills on the iced tea, and the person who comes around and does them is very friendly and attentive.
Can get crowded around lunchtime, of course, but we've never not been able to find a table. The place is clean and neat. I enjoy the open kitchen, and it's fairly quiet so your conversation isn't drowned out with kitchen noise.
The name of this business is a bit misleading. While they are caterers, they also have a fabulous restaurant that serves both lunch and dinner. This is the first time I have been to this gem, and definitely plan to go back. The food was outstanding. I really like restaurants that try to do something a little different, and Chambers Walk does just that.
For an appetizer, we had the smoked duck hush puppies with jalapeno relish. The relish gave the perfect amount of heat to the dish. We also tried the caesar salad which was amazing. Sometimes the garlic can be overpowering in caesar salad. Not with this dish. It was the perfect mix and the homemade croutons were so good. They tasted like they had cheese baked right into them.
For dinner we had the house made gnocchi and braised beef short ribs. Both cooked to perfection though the portions could have been a bit bigger. The table next to us had the double-boned pork chop and oven roasted chicken. Both of those looked amazing.
For dessert, I wanted to try the chef's selection of doughnuts served with a Tahitian Vanilla Anglaise, but I lost the battle. We ended up having the Pumpkin Banana Spice Cake, which was good and dense. Definitely enough for two.
The ambiance was perfect and they had a guitarist playing in the background. Another cool aspect to this spot is an open kitchen. You can sit at a bar and watch them cook while you eat. BYOB. I can't wait to go back!
