The Chamberlain Observatory is located off of Evans in Observatory Park.  It was part of the University of Denver but now sits on Denver Parks and Rec land.  DU still runs programs at the observatory.

Tuesday and Thursday nights are open to the public for viewing the Moon and Planets.  On Saturday nights during first quarter moons there are a events for the public.  Great place to go for eclipses and other unique celestial events because all of the local astronomy clubs descend on this place with all of their gear in place.

For anyone with kids with minds ready to explore the possibilities of the universe this is a can't miss bonding experience.

The big downside to this observatory is that it's in the middle of the city and the light pollution degrades the experience.  The lines for the special events to get in for the big telescope can be quite long, so get there early on those nights.

Do SomeThing Good,
