Chad is such a wonderful person! A great yoga instructor that creates a challenging and fun class and really cares about the people in it. He has a very positive attitude and caters to all ability levels. I highly recommend Chad to anyone! He is the best.

If you want to feel great about yourself and your body, meet Chad Stose. He is an expert in both biology and culture. He will challenge you no matter your level, while taking care of your special physical needs. At the same time, he will adeptly observe the class's collective mood and will lead a conversation that will motivate everyone.

Chad's my yoga teacher; I've been going to his classes for almost a year now (since March 2010). His special strengths are in the technical aspects of asanas (alignment, muscular tension, balance, and more), as well as injury prevention and care.
I stumbled onto Chad through some event listing I didn't go to, but his bio intrigued me so I went to his regular class at Yoga Kula and was hooked right away. He's a great instructor in class but he's truly amazing in private lessons; I definitely recommend you augment class time with some personal attention. Even if you just attend his classes, though, you'll advance your practice with each session.
(My only other yoga experience has been with substitute teachers in Chad's class slot, so I don't have a basis to say he's the best there is...but it sure feels that way!) -

Chad is a truly gifted teacher. New to the area and devoted to my anusara practice, I searched for several months to find the right instructor. My search ended with Chad.
I can only echo the wonderful reviews Chad has received. Chad is a generous and insightful instructor.
In particular, I marvel at Chad's remarkable ability to teach to multiple levels and his ability to bring something new to my practice every class. Chad has certainly helped to advance my practice during my time in SF and I'll truly miss him and his classes when I leave the area. -

The amazing thing about Chad is his integrity and dedication to yoga and Anusara. It's not just a means for income, but clearly his life's path. Each class is an open and welcoming invitation to all yoga students wanting to deepen their understanding -- physical or spiritual -- with instruction supported by his years of rigorous practice and study. He offers each student in the class personalized and thoughtful guidance. My one word review: INSPIRING.

Chad is quite the yoga teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed his classes for his personality and skill.
I have to admit the "style" of yoga he practices is a little "athletic" for my taste and I had some problems with some of the poses. But he was always helpful in trying to find ways for me to alter them that worked with my body and ability. So the 4 stars rather than 5 stars has more to do with the content of the classes than Chad himself.
He rocks. I totally recommend your checking him out. -

I've been going to Chad's weeknight classes at Yoga Kula for over a year now and he's really one of my favorite instructors. His instruction is so helpful in understanding how to refine a pose and really open up into it.
I recently went through a few private lessons with Chad because I wanted to get help in putting together some routines for home practice. It was such a great experience. He really listened to me to understand what I was looking for and then tailored several routines for me.
He really inspires me! I'd really recommend his private instruction. -

I went to Chad's yoga class for the first time yesterday at the Castro Gold's gym. I was really impressed how he was able to open up my body (and make me feel like I'd been put through the wringer) with such economy of movement. He solicited input on what we wanted out of the class at the beginning and incorporated it into the practice. He was thorough, non-judgmental, and extremely helpful in gently guiding and correcting your poses. He also brought out the spiritual aspects of the practice but very subtly. I'll try and make it to the class as often as I can, though that may be a little difficult since it's on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. Meanwhile, I'd highly recommend his class to anyone for whom that time slot works.

I've taken many of Chad's classes. In each one, he gives the same high level of care and attention to everyone in the room. I really appreciate that in addition to knowing how to help everyone get to a place in their pose that works for them, Chad's gentle and peaceful presence is felt from beginning to end. I'd recommend any of Chad's classes or private instruction to totally beginners or to those with many years of experience.
If you've wanted to try yoga, but have hesitated - go to one of Chad's classes. You'll have a great experience. -

Chad Stose is amazing.
I loathed yoga. The first time I tried it, it felt weird and uncomfortable and I couldn't understand what I was supposed to do (or why). Turns out, all you need is a good teacher.
And Chad is a great teacher. He explains and demonstrates poses in such a way that they make sense and feel good. He's helped me find my inner pretzel. Now I finally understand how to do a downward facing dog, a pose that has got to be one of the more subtle yet bewildering things you can do to your body. He has shown me how to have proper alignment, and this plus the exercises we do in class have cured a painful back problem I've had for 10 years.
But as fabulous as his ninja yoga skills be, his personality is the best part of studying with him. He's friendly, snarky, totally approachable and down to earth. Plus he's frikkin' hilarious. When was the last time you laughed in a Yoga class?
I take his Monday 6pm class at Mission Yoga and I look forward to it every week. it's a smaller room so you get more space and individual attention. He also teaches Tues Thurs and Fridays at yoga kula. His class is popular so get there early if you want a center spot. I've also had 2 private lessons with him and they were extraordinary!
