2 reviews for Central Park Pet Spa
I live in the neighborhood so i decided to walk in to make an appointment for my puppy's first dog grooming. Upon coming into the business, and inquirng about an appointment the owner (i believe) tried to beckon my dog to him with a treat. She didn't go to him and appeared shy and a bit weary of him. This is odd since my dog LOVES and jumps to all people (except people i know that are dirtbags).
When the owner say her expression, he turned to me asked, "What's wrong with her?" NOw i'm sure you're with me all you other dog lovers, but if some scumbag asks whats wrong with your dog, you'd get kind of offended. He seemed to imply that she was traumatized and he recomended that she "needed work in the socialization area."
Ewww.. Is that what people said to your mom about you?
Needless to say, i didn't go back and decided to give money to a business that wanted my dog there. See my CoCo and Toto review.
P.S Now i know there are a lot of other dogs in the area that go here but i just find it so gosh darn pretensious with its gray, cold marbled tile. We love our dogs, but seriously.
They're fantastic. Have had a long-coated dog in the city for 20 years and they're as good or better as anybody I've tried. Reasonable prices. Very clean.
