Central Park is sort of hilariously named: yes it is central, but it is one of the smallest parks in Boulder.
As such, it isn't really a place to do your various sporting activities. Instead, it is a cool place to chill with 3 very awesome things right-by: first it flanks 13th street where the Boulder Farmer's Market is; second, it is right next to the Boulder bandstand, which often has free shows and local bands...some of which are decent; and third, the creek path runs right along side it which gives you easy access to the Park along the East-West trail.
It's a cool place to spend some time or meet up since from here you can get almost anywhere that is central to Boulder, whether it be Pearl street, the Arboretum, the Hill, or CU,
