Nice FREE small museum on the way between Yosemite/Mono Lake and Las Vegas which is worth a stop if you are doing the road-trip thing.

Has a lot of a data about the old west and history of the area including the famed "area 51", brothels, mining, immigration, local native american arts and crafts, etc. -
Review from Ian W.
Free admission to this museum. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Inside the main building, there are a lot of glass displays, artwork, pictures and exhibits with various items showcasing the history and people of Central Nevada. Near the front of the museum, there are numerous local books (Nevada history, mining, ghost towns) and picture postcards for sale. Outside the building, there are numerous exhibits and displays of various artifacts, wheels, tools, shacks, plants, and rocks, please stay on the walking path. My visit here was very informative.
