I went here because I've really been looking for a spiritual home. I have to say that I have mixed feelings about it but overall I feel good. Rev. Mark Anthony Lord (don't you just love that name???) is wonderful and very down to earth. I really enjoyed his message. I've have been a follower of Science of Mind for quite some time and I am happy to say that my beliefs fall right in line with CSL.

The fact that service is held in an elementary school sort of bothers me. Also, the meditation portion was horrible when I went. It was only facilitated for the first 5 mins and after that it was quiet for like 25 mins. It's seriously laidback and I think the spiritual message was too short. Seemed like it was filled with a lot of fluff (music, announcements, skits etc.) I don't know maybe I'm too serious. :-)

Overall, I'm happy that I went and I'm definitely willing to go back and try it again. I think if I can get over some of my own personal biases CSL can be a great spiritual home for me.

If you are looking for a spiritual home of love, allowing, expansion, and just an overall feeling of - I'm so glad I came here today, then The Center for Spiritual Living is for you!!

It is a growing community that holds services Wednesday nights at the Center and Sunday mornings at Agassiz School. Grounded in the teachings of Ernest Holmes (Science of Mind) and other new thought spiritual leaders, they offer several classes to expand your knowledge and growth.

If you are familiar with the movie 'The Secret', the Center's spiritual leader, Mark Anthony Lord, was trained at Agape by Dr. Michael Beckwith. Dr. Beckwith was one of the teachers in the movie.

I absolutely love the warmth and friendliness of this group and look forward to watching it grow and grow.
