Celebration Hotel
3 reviews for Celebration Hotel
Celebration is where Charleston, SC and Pleasantville, Utopia somehow combine to form the most ridiculously colorful, happy, and magical town ever created. Now, in order for this uber-town to truly succeed, it needs a place for weary travelers to rest their heads and recover. Bring in the Celebration Hotel.
The lobby is wonderfully southern plantationesque and makes you feel as if you are in some big mansion. When I walked in the front doors to check in, I noticed there was no counter but instead, two very ornate wooden desks where check in, check out, and anything else can be taken care of. The people are extremely friendly and the valets are very hardworking and efficient.
The rooms are pretty nice. I got one of the more basic (not a suite) rooms with a king size bed. The bed was pretty comfortable (I def. missed my typical Hilton bed) but it was very clean and well presented.
The location is the best part though. You can walk to about 10 different restaurants from sushi, to pub food, to Italian, to English tea. The area around the hotel has great scenery including a little body of water that is peaceful and nice to gaze out at while you are hand in hand with the person you love the most in the whole wide.....okay, or you can just take a glimpse at it while you are walking to the pub to drink 10 beers, either way works really.
Its a great place to stay if you want to get out of the hustle bustle that is Disney during the holidays, although, the streets do get busy at night because the shops stay open late for attract many tourists. From your hotel though, you would never think anything was going on outside despite its close proximity.
I'll definitely be going back!

I stayed at Celebration Hotel when I visited my brother, who lives in Celebration. If you want to stay in Celebration, this is your only choice. The hotel is ok. The lobby, bar, and patio are quite nice. I booked with an online third-party website (Orbitz), because the rates offered directly by the hotel were pretty astronomical. I was happy with my rate. Unfortunately, when I got to the hotel, I was told I had to pay a 12 dollar a day "resort fee." This irritated me immensely, because I thought I knew the price per night of my stay. I was told that in fine print at the bottom of the website is mention of "additional fees." I had no choice but to pay this fee, which I was told was assessed in order to "control revenues." I was also told it afforded me free wifi, although I cannot see how it can be termed free when I am paying a resort fee.
Parking is easy to find on the streets of Celebration, so that is not an issue.
When I got to my room, which was pretty nice, an overwhelming smell met me. It sorta smells like someone urinated on the floor. I was told, when I asked, that there is a mildew problem. The hotel staff was very nice and offered to upgrade my room to a lake view with balcony. This room had the same overpowering smell, but I was happy that they cared enough, so I got over it. After being in your room about an hour, you no longer smell it.
The staff is very nice at this hotel and the bar and patio are great. The bathrooms are very nice, with the curved shower rods I have come to enjoy (and have installed at my own home). In addition, they have in-room coffee makers with Starbucks coffee (there is also a Starbucks just down the street). The tv also includes all three major 24-hour news networks (CNN, Fox, and MSNBC). I am often frightened by the number of hotels that only offer Fox!
The only other major drawback is that the beds are as hard as wooden planks. I was not able to sleep longer than six or seven hours, which is ok, but not ideal.
I should also mention that the room has many conveniently located outlets, for computers and iphones and such--this is always very important to me!

Celebration Hotel is located in...*TAH DAH*... Celebration, FL, which is a cute, little Disney designed community. Within this community, which is complete with white houses and complimentary white picket fences, many of the Disney Animators choose to reside. The Celebration Hotel is a short 5-minute drive away from the "magic of Disney", but it feels far enough away to allow you some breathing room and to allow the weary traveler to forget that he/she is in a MAJOR tourist destination. This place is a HAVEN for business travelers because it is located within a clean, safe and well-established community with boutique shopping, entertainment, great restaurants and movie theatre. The hotel is QUIET and offers a place to recharge your mental and spiritual batteries.
There are complimentary shuttles to the Theme Parks and Downtown Disney. So, you don't have to fight traffic or worry about driving and getting lost in the beautiful maze that is WDW.
Oh and the pool is awesome! The bar is a great place to have cocktails with friends and listen to the soothing sounds of the piano in the lobby.
