If you go by the website pics on Wyndham Rewards....it "appears" that this place is "right on the lake". And technically, that's true, but it's on the north side of Rt 28. So you'll have to cross that road to get to the lake.
That aside, I'll go with the review. This review is for Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27th, 2009.
This place is a nice little lodge/motel. Several smaller cabins line the hillside with a 14-16 room 2 floor motel in the back. Parking is at a PREMIUM here, and that's before the winter....must be even worse when the snow arrives.
I stayed in room 21. I arrived after 11 pm. If you are going to arrive after 10 pm, MAKE SURE YOU CALL THE HOTEL! I did this to let them know and they nicely put my key in their outside safe and gave me the code. I did the check in part on Saturday morning, nicely done!
The room? Well, if you're expecting Full Service hotel? Don't stay here. This is a "rustic style" place and that's what you get. Nice wooden paneling lining the room. A cooktop and 1/2 height fridge, along with a small tv and a couple of tables to sit at. The bathroom and bedroom were basic. Remember, you didn't come to Tahoe to STAY IN THE ROOM! You came here to enjoy the VIEW!
There is a pool and grilling area, I didn't use those.
The staff (Josh) was very nice and helpful. I never saw the housekeeping people because I got up early on Saturday and hit the road in my cool convertible. Top down of course!
For $60/night, I recommend this place. It's got a cool charm to it and the only thing that could make it better would have been to have it right on the lake.

The special pricing I received, came out to $50/night. At that price you can't expect the Ritz Carlton, so for the value Cedar Glen is awesome. Clean sheets, hot shower, and safe parking.
Couldn't have asked for more! Front desk staff was great and the office dog is a cool black lab.
Stayed here over the weekend. Very nice place. Nice little cottages. We got a little one that had a queen bed, closet, dinette, bathroom, TV and a coffee pot. The bed was nice, the was large, the dinette was cozy, the bathroom clean, the TV had the news and we didn't test the coffee pot but i'm sure it worked.
Outside was a nice little courtyard with benches and grass and a firepit...we used all of those a lot.
They only let doggies stay in 2 of the units there so you better ask ahead of time, though they were sooo nice when we told them that we brought our doggies cause we didn't know we couldn't!

Cedar Glen Lodge is one of those places you book in a jam, knowing full well that things may very well not work out to your liking. It cost us about $105/night for rooms toward the end of ski season. There are two types of rooms: the cabins and the rooms in the 2-story building toward the back. We stayed in the building. The rooms featured heat, hot water, a bed, and a small TV. They also feature the occasional missing shower head, ugly bedspread, rough sheets, and garbage strewn about outside, no doubt the result of angry feral animals looking for a meal. Frankly, there have to be better options out there, but if you're in a jam and on a budget, I guess Cedar Glen Lodge will do.

Well what can i say about this place. About 14 years ago stayed here as a kid and thought it was a great place with the beach across the street and a cool pool oh and a BBQ area awesome right. WRONG WRONG WRONG. Lets jump to present time say the last 4 days. well the early check in was nice. Then it went DOWN HILL from there. the first night I was watching a movie and a saw a rat come from under the refrigerator. Are you serious!!!!!!!!!! I can under stand were in a wooded area but comon. Went to talk to the manager mind you it was about 8 pm and was tired of driving. Told him what i saw and the expression on his face was wow really. Pretty sure it happened before. so we got moved into a different cabin not the same model we were in the first time. Which sucked because it didn't have a kitchen :( Then went to go use the restroom and the toilet wasn't working properly are you joking i had to hold the handle down a little while for it to properly work. And then went to take a shower and the hot water knob stopped working. had to take a cold shower. again went to talk to the Manager and he was surprised and the next day it was fixed. So what ever happened within the 14 years new owners or what SO ALL IN ALL NOT THE PLACE THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND. Way better cottages or lodges to stay. Next time Im not going to stay here. Oh and maybe get a better housekeeping crew. All they did was make the bed and take out the trash. didnt clean the bathroom. Cmon Oh well
