"Holy Riddle Me Pasta Batman!"

I've been wanting to visit this place for well over a year now. I'm not sure why I simply "assumed" this place was 100% italian cuisine but it's more of a fancy American cuisine restaurant. Meaning it's fancy enough for those dates gentlemen so bring those gals here.

The menu for this place is a nice balanced mixed american cuisine in that it has a little bit of everything from basic pasta dishes, steaks and even burgers. I love me my pizza and burgers so I opted for a burger. My son grabbed the filet mignon and that was amazing cause he let me taste a sample. Menu is a tad pricey so I wouldn't say this is a regular place you can eat out at but it is a very nice place for a treat. I sat on lower lever which was nice but it felt less fancy than the upstairs so if a fancy atmosphere matters to you ask for seating on the main floor (not downstairs). The lower level is nice but the bar there makes it feel less fancy if that makes sense.

Catherine's is the real deal. Phenomenal food but even better staff! We've been coming to Catherine's for years and every time it's always a treat. The portions are huge, so expect leftovers for one to two days. There staff is so friendly and attentive. Whether you eat upstairs or downstairs, atmosphere is great!

No matter what you get, you can't go wrong. I've tried over half the menu and there isn't one thing I dislike.

Appetizers to try- rice balls, fried zucchini, burrata, house salad, crab bruschetta - try them all!

Entrees- bow tie pasta, buffalo chicken pasta, veal Milanese, filet, fish tacos, Tuscan chicken... all amazing!!

Dessert- can't go wrong with the banana cream pie.

Also, if you are around a Wednesday or Thursday, make a reservation for the dinner special. A bottle of wine, an appetizer and dinner per person- $50 cash for two people and $60 credit for two people. Take advantage of this offer- it's amazing!!!

Good ole Goshen NY's finest. I love these little towns in NY that have gems like Catherines. We walked to Catherine's from our hotel in Goshen and as we were walking up we could see the place was busy. Other that this place and maybe one orher spot everything else was dead.

Anyway, we had a reservation so we were sat right away. Not sure you need reservations but living in the nyc area you know to make one just in case. We started with some red wine, aracini with house gravy (tomato sauce) and the fried zucchini. I thoroughly enjoyed the aracini. They were very cheesy and delicious. The fried zucchini was also quality. Perfectly fried with a horseradish dressing that had a slight kick to it. For dinner, I had the salmon which was a massive portion and the brown derby salad which was also enough for 3. Both Pretty good and the value for your money is insane. Even though we were stuffed we had to try dessert so we ordered the vanilla cake. We ordered the half portion and we are glad they gave that option.

All in all it was inexpensive and quality. Our waitress was kind and the chef/owner even came out to say hello. This is a solid place with good people here. They have passion for what they do and are good at it. I would be back.

Cava flatiron- I had heard great things about this place but have never been here. This is a similar concept to dig inn where it is quick service but everything looks homemade and fresh. For lunch this place is a madhouse. Usually there is a line but it moves pretty quick. The menu is simple you pick a base of grains or greens and then add protein and toppings to that.

I went with the falafel bowl with a mix of grain and green base. You can taste the freshness from the first bite. I also added some red pepper hummus which added just the right amout of flavor and spice to the dish. The lentils and rice were legit as well. I am not sure if this was technically healthy or fake healthy but who cares it tasted good. Make sure to pick up some homemade Pita chips. They are addicting!!

Overall, this is as solid of a lunch spot as you can get. It checks off all the boxes. Good food, good service, clean, reasonably priced, and healthy. What else do you want?! I will be back.

Always consistent food. The service is also consistent love the atmosphere! Very friendly staff. You won't be disappointed. Average prices for food as well.

Oh, and did I mention the dining room? 1 word... BEAUTIFUL!!! I don't know who Catherine is but her restaurant is on point!!!

Alright, I'm going to eat the rest of my lunch for dinner!! Yummm that eggplant and his Falet mignon bolognese were extraordinary!!!

A great dining experience......Catherine's is one of those places that make you want to move to Goshen :) .... excellent food, impeccable service, lovely atmosphere.
Seems like the chef prepares his dishes as a prelude to his grandmother Catherine :))
Will def make the 2hr trip again soon just to eat there.

We had a very long wait- over an hour. The food was good, but we felt a bit over priced. We won't be back for dinner, but might try to pick up something off the lunch menu if we're in the area.

Been here dozens of times because I'm a local and there are about 5 restaurants in Goshen. Each time I try something other than my usual pasta dish I am disappointed.

If you are going here, get the angel hair pasta with the oil, sundried tomatoes and peas and call it a day. I come here when I am craving it and have given up on trying other dishes.

The only other thing to note is that they give a GREAT wine pour. I have come here at least 5 times purely because I want a glass of wine and I know Catherine's will pull through for me. Great price.

P.S. go down to the bar area for a more relaxed vibe. Upstairs is white cloth and can feel a little too fancy if you are looking for a relaxing night.

Great hospitality, delicious food, large portions. What more could we ask for? Highly recommend this restaurant.

Dinner was fabulous! Has the short rib stroganoff over parpadelle and it was heavenly. Huge portion--took over half of it home. My husband had the filet, also great. The pecan pie was the best I've ever had--desserts are homemade in house. What a great spot! It was very obvious that most of the patrons were regulars and we can see why!
