Food is good and the folks are friendly but I've got to knock it down a star for the price. Small (12oz) gumbo and a tiny piece of garlic bread: $6? Come on. If they want to be like Norlanze, they should serve gumbo in a "Big Gulp"-sized cup with rice on the bottom and a big garlic bread slice to slurp it up with for, oh, I'd pay $10 for that! Four shore.
Oh, and nothing about the food, but putting a restaurant next to the fitness center may not have been the best decision. Not for what you're thinking--it's just tough to park close to the entrance.
I wanted to try this place and was really disappointed to find out that this place is closed down... :(
The food here is outstanding! Spicy, flavorful, and prepared by a real chef! A small place for lunch or dinner, plus he does catering. So far, the jerk chicken sandwich, jerk catfish and chicken/sausage jambalaya were all worth another serving. Looking forward to trying the gumbo on my next visit. It's nice to see some variety in the AV palate.
