Castoro Cellars
4 reviews for Castoro Cellars
Many a place you go, you hope for good win, and you're let down. Yes, it's a shame an it affects us all.
But hope is on the horizon..... Castoro Cellars!
This place has great wine. They have a good mix of whites and reds. With a great mix of Syrahs, Zin's (oh so tasty!), to my favorite, Cabernet Sauvignon. I snagged a bottle of their '03 Estate Reserve. I can't wait to open it!
I don't remember exactly how much tasting was, but I'll give it a try:
~ First three tastings: FREE
~ First five tastings: $3
~ First seven tastings: $5
~ BONUS: Any tasting fee is waived if you purchase one or more bottles of vine. I think this is genius. I usually always end up buying a bottle because of this. ( Or is it just the wine speaking to me.)
If you're in Paso Robles and you want to taste some wine definitely think about stopping here. You won't regret it!
Nice atmosphere The Cabernet is a nice dinner wine. The rest were just OK. My Dad enjoyed the Chardonnay.
Check it out
Had to buy every Zin they had at Castoro. This is some dam good wine.

All the wines are passable if not great, they've been very generous and friendly when pouring, and most wines are relatively affordable. The grounds are nice too. Surely no complaints but something prevents me from giving it that 5th star. Probably the plethora of pleasant but not fantastic wines.
