To tell you the truth, the park itself needed work.
Maybe I am just a bit self-protective, but the rides seemed a bit scary, and don't get me wrong, I love thrills, just not the kind where you know there's a chance of the rides breaking down.

On the other hand, the mini golf was affordable and the course was huge! Consisting of a total of 4 different courses with 18 holes each. The bummer was that you are only given a score sheet for 2 courses, so I had to use to backside for further calculations.

I was impressed with the design of the courses compared to other miniature gold courses that I have previously visited. They had a variation from candy houses, saloons, to a more natural approach of mountains and scenes. It was great and I had a lot of fun for 7.99!

This park has a lot to offer. They have tons of rides, a HUGE mini golf course, an arcade, and decent prices. The employees are all very polite, and the grounds are immaculate. As a coaster nerd, I wasn't particularly interested in the mini golf, but the amusement section was very impressive.

My favorite ride was definitely the Dragon's Tower, a small S&S tower with some great negative g's. The coasters include Merlin's Revenge, a Vekoma junior coaster, and Screamin' Demon, a Fabbri spinning madness model. Though neither one particularly blew my mind, they were decent fun. There is also a little oval kiddie coaster called the Little Dipper.

Another favorite of mine was the Log Ride. It is well themed and has two nice drops. They have many carnival-style flat rides including a whip, a tilt-a-whirl, a chair swing, some awesome flyers, a nicely enclosed carousel, a fireball (you know, like the ride in "Big"), and that's not nearly all. The park also features a beautiful train that meanders and winds throughout, and Ghost Blasters, a cool two-story shooting dark ride located inside the arcade.

I was really impressed with this Riverside fixture, especially considering its mixed reviews. Castle Park is a great family destination and is much cheaper than some alternatives in Anaheim that shall remain nameless.

We went to Castle Park exclusively to play miniature golf.  We paid $7.99 each to play.  We challenged the "Masters" course and found it to be fun, challenging and in poor condition.  There are many fun buildings on the grounds which adds atmosphere and we would have loved playing at this park without reservations if the course had been better maintained.  Many greens had torn astroturf, especially around the holes.  Several holes had "traps" which we hadn't seen anywhere else before.  Overall, a fun experience, but we have some reservations recommending it.

It's getting a little Run-down. We usually go at night and this is when they charge the most for the parking. If you don't mind walking kinda far, there is a way around that. They have a really crappy parking lot, so I am not sure why it is so steep to park there.

Don't plan on eating here. The food is pretty gross.
Restrooms stink and are dirty, every time I have been there and we go there maybe 5-10 times a year and it's always the same, stinky dirty restrooms with tons of flies.
The midway and rides are shutdown during the weekdays

+Nice Employees.
+Not exceedingly crowded.
+duck pond with duck food (bring quarters) is cute for little kids. It's way up in the center of the mini golf.
+the minigolf is a little worn down, but it is the biggest minigolf in the Inland empire.

If you live an hour or more away, I will tell you that it is more than likely not worth the trip.

Castle Park: a typical funland with high hopes.

One day my friends and I came here to mini-golf.  And seeing as how Camelot is half an hour away in Anaheim Hills, I reluctantly accepted making the shorter, 10 minutes drive to the other side of Riverside to get my miniature fix.

First impressions?  Six dollars for parking.  Parking?  Who do they think they are?  A gallon of gas might be hovering above $3 right now, but already I'm thinking a trip to Camelot would have been worth it.

And after traversing the pothole and ill-laid speedbump ridden parking lot (clearly the parking lot fee is going to good use), we went inside.  The arcade was rather small, and I saw a notable absence of 2D fighters and a beat-up looking DDR machine.  Around the park, I appreciated the carnival skill games (always good for a few minutes of fun), though a third of the rides were not working.

So, on to the mini-golf.  In two words or less?  Fucking terrible.  We played on two courses, and both had serious gaps in lighting (kind of important when you're playing in late fall at 7pm).  More than once we lost track of our balls.  Sometimes it was just because the poor lighting made balls parked in dark corners difficult to see.  Sometimes the ball got stuck in the obstacles, necessitating a bit of unclogging before resuming play.  But I suppose the poor lighting is useful for one thing: to cover up the random mystery bumps in the green.  Most of the holes were surrounded by small, elevated patches.  I don't know about you, but when I'm putting on a mini-golf course, I don't want to deal with hard to see slaloms.

Disappointing.

When you're in hs, you either worked in fast food or here.  So I picked here hahaha.  Actually working there made me appreciate this place way more.  It's a pretty fun place once you stop comparing it to Disneyland.  Just like you wouldn't compare Albertson's with the local liquor store.

The Big Top there isn't bad either.  If I remember correctly their cheese sticks were oh so yummy!

One thing I thought was really wack was when they charged people to just walk into the park or was it to drop off people hahaha.  I don't know if they do this anymore, but I sure hope not.  I know they're desperate on funds, but that's wack YO!  Parking is $6, ouch!

Right now they have unlimited golf and arcade games for $12 on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays.  Not bad, I think I shall do a stop tomorrow!

Castle Park

Parking: 6$ not too bad.

Front Gate Entry: Castle park has a new secured front gate installed. Like Disneyland, if you want in, you gotta pay.

Price: Cheap! Jr Admissions are the cheapest is Southern California. If your child is between 3 -4 feet its $12.99 for a Jr. unlimited ride day pass. If you are over 4 feet tall, you would pay for a General unlimited ride day pass which is $19.99. In my opinion, Castle park has another deal which is really great. Its called the "Royal or Jr. Knight Passes". If your looking for a day of rides, arcade, and golf, then this is the deal for you! The Royal passes are for guests over 4ft tall which is $26.99 and the Jr. Knight passes for guests between 3-4 ft tall is $19.99. What these passes include are : 1 all-day Unlimited Ride Wristband, 1 game of Championship Miniature Golf, 1 $5.00 bag of Castle Arcade tokens, 1 bag of popcorn, and 1 coupon for $1.00 off any food purchase over $4.00. Its a great deal and it will save you $$ If you just go with the Royal Passes. Also for the children under 3ft tell, they get free entry into the park and can ride the Merry go Round, Antique Car Ride and the Train for free with one adult that has a all day ride admission pass. Also, get ready because summers just around the corner! Castle Park will be doing a "Buy a day, Get the Summer FREE" deal! This is a great deal!

Rides: There are many different rides that are a blast! My personal favorite is the Log Ride! Each ride has its own height requirement so make sure your children meet the requirement before getting in line to ride. Also the lines are not your Disneyland 1 hour wait times; you'll be in line and on the ride in a matter of minutes. Castle Park Also has two new rides: The Dragon flyer and The Screamin Deamon. They are both great rides and a lot of fun!

Golf: A Huge golf course and 4 different courses to choose from rating from Easy to Advanced so if you just want to have fun, you can plan on the Easy course, but if your looking for a challenge then the Advanced courses are for you.

$12 Buck Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays: At Castle Park on these days gets you unlimited Golf and Arcade games! Its a great deal and a fun time.(Just found out that $12 buck Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays are not avaliable during summer hours) The only games that require tokens are the ones that give you tickets to redeem for prizes. In my opinion, if you are going to get tokens, the best deal is to get 20$ worth of tokens; its more tokens for your $.

Birthdays: There is an Ad on the site and if you come on your birthday you will get a free unlimited ride admission pass. Great way to spend your birthday

Overall, Castle Park is a fun place to go to. If you live in the Inland Empire, then this place is just right around the corner from you.

Man, is this place smaller than I remember.  I took my niece miniature golfing here the other day and determined that, and how 70s this place looks too.

This place is a blast with its carnival section, miniature golf and arcade pavilion.   It's really a simple place that was more accessible, easier to do, and cheaper than Disneyland.

This place surely aims to disappoint.

$8 mini golf, courses look terribly worn down.
$6 parking, to park in their pothole ridden parking lot (parking free at Scandia, could have drove there for $6 in fuel)

Aracde tokens, $1 for 3, and the crane game costs 4 tokens to play!  Though you get 120 tokens for $20, the change machine should just say "$20 or you just getting ripped off!"

Stood in front of carnival game for 3 minutes, woman running it didn't even ask to if I would like to play.  I guess it was that only one game, since the other games had workers that were doing the usual carne hustle.

I suppose the only plus of this whole trip is that the restroom in the arcade building is clean and there is plenty of food nearby.

Castle Park was one of my favorite places to go when visiting my grandparents in Riverside as a little girl. I loved playing miniature golf and then arcade games right after. Castle Park provided hours of fun for my family and me. It's truly a gem and I'd be really sad if it ever went out of business.

I don't like the spinning ride here! It almost made me throw up.

A long time ago, my family owned the property that Castle Park is on. Now all that's left of their property on Polk Street is a house not far from Castle Park and Doi's Farmers Market that may soon go out of business.

I'm a notorious cheapass, so slumming it on labor day I thought of taking the kids to Knott's, but $100 for a family of 4 not including parking, food and other expenses =  not cool.  Adventure City, but they wanna charge $13 admission for everyone including my 1 year old, I don't think so.  My kid has a coupon for $10 off an unlimited ride pass for Castle Park, so only $15 for all day entertainment sounds about right.

Good things about the park:
1. Get there early enough and no one mans the parking booth, so free parking.
2. No admission fee, only pay for ride pass.  Only my oldest son had a pass, so the four us got hang around the park and paid only $15.
3. Free rides for 1 year old + 1 adult.  Sure it's just the Carousel, train ride and antique car ride, but still if you have a 1 year old free admission, free rides.
4. Sit by the train station, and squint your eyes enough and you might be able to convince yourself your at Knott's.
5. Decent rides, Merlin's revenge, Log ride, Dragon Tower.
6. Arcade was nice and machines tend to spit out tickets pretty easily compared to other places.
Bad:
1. Big top restaurant sucks, the rocks they tried to pass off as chicken nuggets were inedible.
2. 3 tokens for a dollar in the arcade!?! WTF! and plenty of games are 2 to 3 tokens each.  Sure you can 120 tokens for $20 if you have $20.
3.  ATM machines don't work.
4.  5-6 rides closed.
5. Several rides are no single riders.
6. It's in Riverside.

Sure I'll probably take my kid back next year instead of Disneyland.

i did my daughter's 4th birthday party here.  i felt that this was better than taking her to chuck e cheese as she's totally into rollercoaster and thrill rides.  i also felt like i got more bang for my buck with this place.  although the service isn't the best and the place does seem to be getting on with age, it's still fun and seems pretty inexpensive compared to other places.  since i still have a few free unlimited ride wristbands and free minigolf passes, i will definitely go back soon.

This used to be one of my favorite places to go but i went their just recently and it was so run down. they only had a few rides open. Then me and my friend wanted to ride this one ride so we asked if it would be open and they said yes it will be open in 1 hour so we waited and came back after the hour. The ride was still not open so i asked to talk to the manager and then the manger Finlay decide to open the ride. so we go on the ride and we were the only ones on it then half way through it, it broke down and the guy had to push use through to get us back to the beginning. If the ride was broken they should have just said it was broken and left it closed. I would not recommend going to Castle Park until they get their act together.
