I recently bought a sofa here. Angel was super helpful when picking it out. There are a lot more things to choose when ordering than I had planned for, but they made it easy to do. The sofa is made in 'Merica, which is nice, and was custom made shipped in 6 weeks.

The quality seems very good, and the guarantee was also pretty solid. They will replace the foam basically forever if it ever sags. The price was pretty decent too, certainly not IKEA, but quite a bit cheaper than Crate and Barrel and the like, and it looks great.

I purchased a couch here 4 years ago and its the coziest coolest couch ever. Recently I decided to update my loft with a sectional and I knew exactly where to get it.

The guys who work here are super helpful and fun. I had a minor problem with the button on my first couch coming loose and Angel said he would email the manufacturer about it to see what they could do. I noticed a huge stack of papers and notes behind the desk and I was thinking, he clearly has tons to do, i wonder if he will even remember this.
This is what earns you 5 stars.. following through with what you say you will do and going above and beyond for your costumers. Within 2 days he had emailed the manufacturer and cced me on the email.

The other thing that is impressive about Cassona is you are getting a custom made couch for a very good price. You choose your couch fabric, pillow fabric and what style of wood you want for the legs.  They also have some really neat lamps and picture frames.

Thank you Cassona for making couch shopping enjoyable!

Came in today at noon to look around. What do I see? The clerk Groping another guy. I was horrified and left immediately!  Lude sexual acts are not  appropriate in the workplace. I won't be back!

I can't say enough good things about my experience here, I would give 10 stars if I could. I moved to a new condo and abandoned a lot of old furniture starting off with a clean slate in the new pad. I needed a dining room set, a full bedroom set and complete furnishing for my new living room.
Combine this with the fact that I am clueless and illiterate when it comes to interior design and that sort of thing, I didn't even have the terminology to say what I liked or wanted !!
So it was a with a lot of trepidation I ventured into the store in Andersonville, the first encouraging sign was that they let me browse, a sales person checked in with me when I arrived and then let me explore and look for ideas. When I finally had some clue as to what I wanted I was lucky enough to be looked after by John who was amazing.
He very patiently went through my lists, spent ages going through swatches with me, gently and diplomatically eased me away from my more horrendous choices and was genuinely interested in making the whole process work for me. At no point did I get the feeling that I was being encouraged to buy the more expensive choices and because of the size of the order he worked out a very generous discount.
The furniture arrived this weekend and I could not be more pleased, I had brought some photographs with me of my new place on my first visit and that helped a lot, now that its all installed the entire package works. The delivery was efficient and very professional.
My impression is that the philosophy in this store is that If they help you make good choices they will have a happy (return) customer and that's more effective in the long run than just selling you the most expensive item on the floor.
It certainly worked for me, I'm back next week for round two, the rugs and tchotchkes and stuff to 'pull it together', under John Zotti's careful eye of course !!
Awesome place, awesome people, I couldn't be happier with my experience.

Lots of the standard, practical furniture pieces most people need at least a few of (yeah, I'd love to fill my place with Eames and Nelson, but I've got two college educations to fund) but lots of unique stuff.

If you want something funky and modern but of decent quality, this is a destination store.  I fell in love with the chair/bench made from a gathered bundle of vertical wood.  Now that you know I'm not a furniture or architecture critic, check out the photo I uploaded - http://www.yelp.com/bi....  This chair was incredibly comfortable and designed like nothing I've ever seen.

    Prices are fantastic!

Who knew Andersonville had such cute shops?  Not I!  I need to head up this way more often, if only to come to places like Cassona.

After brunch Sarah B and I walked around for a bit, and we popped in here to look around.  They have lots of great modern but classic furniture (which is what I like) at really inexpensive prices.  I immediately found many, many things that I loved...  but then my wallet remembered I'm unemployed.  (That's *really* starting to crimp my style, yo.)

I actually found some really cool coasters that match some prints I have hanging in my living room so I ended up buying them since they were so inexpensive.

The man working here was SO nice, and fun to talk to.  While we browsed and I admired a couch he pointed out some fun features of it (yeah, I'm SO coming back for it when I get a job!), and while he checked me out we talked about traveling.  When I said I was German and Irish, he laughed and said I must know how to party.  Hehe.  He was super fun, and I'll definitely be coming back here when I have paychecks again.

Got a couch and chair here with the fabric I wanted for about 1/3 the price of Crate and Barrel / Room and Board equivalents.  Delivery was prompt and as promised.

A minor complaint - when they delivered the couch it baaaaarrrrely fit through our hall and scratched our wall.  Their initial call was to tell us that "our delivery driver told you it was a tight fit and you said to go ahead so we shouldn't be responsible."  Well, there was a language barrier there, so I'm not sure how that conversation could have occurred.  I just hate when, before getting the whole story,  a store manager sticks up for their employee at the expense of the customer.

It took a couple of weeks, but at the end of the day the owner from the Evanston store came by to look at the minor damage and it was fixed appropriately at no cost to us, so was just a small deal in an overall smooth transaction.

If I needed something else to furnish my place I would probably check Cassona first and hope for another good deal.

This is a place that I really really like their style of furniture.  But there were some issues with out couch that caused the drop in price.

My fiance and I buy a couch.  We select the style and fabric really really fast.  We already did research online and knew what we wanted.  Then we go and put a down payment.  We are given a 6-8 week window for our couch.

3 weeks pass (we're on vacation in Oklahoma visiting her family), and we get a call saying that the fabric we chose is from a fabric mill that is closed.  So we head back to Cassona right after we get back home.  We are informed that the manufacturer did not even start building the wood skeleton to put the fabric over so once we select the new fabric it will be another 6-8 weeks.

Then comes 4th of July week and the furniture maker is closed that entire week, and apparently that does not count as part of the 6-8 week deliverable window.

All in all we get the couch about 12-14 weeks after we ordered it.  I do not think I will purchase from them again, unless there is a dirt cheap price.

Update.  Such contemporary, stylish, not over-the-top furniture at affordable prices.  Interesting accessories as well and the whole team is so friendly and helpful.  They provide great design suggestions and they are not pushy.  They were so patient with us as we shopped and even played with my daughter and helped her walk!

Tip:  They have a parking lot in the back.  Wish I had known!

Didn't end up buying any furniture but the owner(?) was so friendly.  She even offered for us to bring the chair home to see if it looks good there.  For most of their furniture, they have many fabric choices to choose from.  Would love to go back for other furniture.

It's only in the last few years that I've graduated from Target and IKEA into the world of good furniture. In that brief time I've come to really appreciate the guys at Cassona in Andersonville. (Sergio and Tony I *think*).

Totally helpful ... they deliver honest (not sales based) opinions when you ask, are very patient when you have color swatches spread out all over their floor, and are just fun to talk to.

The gentlemen at Cassona are a joy to work with. We came in with but a small idea of what pieces we wanted and were not really serious about shopping at the moment. They presented us with so many options that we could not see going anywhere else or taking any more time. We looked at several pieces, talked about measurements and coverings and they took care of the entire process of ordering and delivery. They even gave us an update on our pieces estimated time of delivery. In short, we will be back for more!

Modern furniture at a cheap price!?  Wooza!  I love Room and Board but my check book does not.  This place is also very much my style with a much better price point.  I bought a fantastic black coffee table here that is modern, functional, and looks a lot more expensive than it actually was. I will return when searching for my furniture items.

I have bought 2 beautiful furniture pieces from Cassona, as well as a statue named Gorda. I love the furniture in this store. They were delivered very fast and on time. However, I tried to purchase an ottoman and placed the order. I put a deposit down and waited the 6-week estimated time. Then, I was told it would be another month. Then, I was told after that, another month. And so on, until 8 months passed and I finally got my money back because I was tired of waiting. The people are nice there, but the store needs to cut off their suppliers who can't produce. The store worked with me to decrease the cost for the delay and offered free delivery, but enough was enough. I'm bummed because I liked the ottoman. Long story short, I think the furniture is top notch. I wouldn't buy anything that wasn't in stock.

Fun furniture, great accessories.  You will not find repeats of items found here- in other stores.  Some very interesting wall hangings hand created by traditional artisans in Mexico.  Fantastic colors in bed linens, custom orders.  My favorites?  Incredible, heavy, but well designed ceramic wall tiles in these funky red/mocha and bit of pumpkin colors with leaf designs. Sounds strange I know, but a fantastic accessory, they had 3 different tiles, at 19.95 each, they were an absolute steal!  I WILL be back!!

Cute furniture and different home decoration type of things - better yet, the customer service here is quite awesome - the employees are all very friendly and extremely helpful - no harassment here.  You are free to roam around.  Items are a bit pricey/standard, but there is a sales/clearance table towards the back, and there are some cute votives as well as bird figurines.  One of many stores to check out if you're in the neighborhood.

Modern but does not miss on function. Love the cleanly designed furniture and unique one of a kind accessories. Prices are reasonable for their quality, probably in between Crate and Barrel and Dania. I had a difficult time finding a buffet longer than 66" for my dining room and found the perfect one from here. I also bought the matching table. I ordered a backordered mirror and was worried about whether it would arrive before housewarming party. Alma (the owner) made sure it arrived a week before the party. Sometimes they sell floor samples for half the price if you don't mind minor, barely noticeable scratches. That means a few hundred dollars savings.

Alma and her staff at Cassona will bend over backwards to make sure you get just the right furniture! The store was well lit and comfortable and the selection was great!
My wife and I were in there last Saturday and we were greeted warmly by Alma and her friend who is a professional designer as well as a doctor! She was there to offer free decorating advice for the day. My wife kept her busy for well over an hour. The only thing we need to do now is make a decision.

I've been shopping here for accessories since I've moved to Chicago but recently decided to purchase a sofa for my new place. The small staff was beyond helpful and patient with all of my questions. It wasn't your typical furniture store environment. I spent what felt like hours going through sofa styles and swatches while the staff remained helpful, never making me feel pressured. The Sofa arrived last week (on time) and I couldn't be happier! Definitely  recommend this shop!

This review is based mainly on the great service I received. I've never actually visited the store; this is an online purchasing story. Here's what happened. Desperately in need of a bed frame, I'd scoured many affordable furniture stores in Chicago only to come up empty. Then, I found one I really liked at an outlet store in Evanston, but the price wasn't right. (I'm not spending thousands of dollars on a queen-sized bed frame that I'm exchanging for a king as soon as my bedroom gets bigger.) Back to my story. On a whim, I searched online and found my bed at Cassona -- and for much less! So, I called and Angel was so helpful with the order and scheduled the delivery within a couple of days. The delivery men arrived on said day promptly and were very professional. The bedframe was beautiful, but after they left, I noticed an imperfection in the staining of the wood. I called Angel and he ordered me a replacement, which was delivered about four weeks later. Based on this great service, I'll be back to Cassona for my next furniture purchase.

I really have to give props to this place.  Our sales guy, Angel, was not only patient and not pushy, he was truly helpful in assisting us in choosing some nice pieces, even dissuading us from several things because he didn't think we should spend that much, etc.  The best part?  After having already ordered a bed, sofa, and chair from Pottery Barn, we walked out with the same -- plus a rug and two lamps -- for $800 less than we spent at PB for those three items.  (Needless to say, I cancelled my PB order and went out for a nice dinner!)  Anyway, SUPPORT this local business -- you'll get a better deal, too.
